I went there for a second opinion on an estimate from my former "go to" independent shop--and was pleasantly surprised by the result. Not only was my estimate from Chris more than competitive---but he pointed out to me after inspecting my vehicle --that an Axle Shaft Assembly that my former "go to" shop said needed replacing was actually just fine. I told them I wanted to get a second opinion and they used the "don't know if its safe to drive" scare tactic. went to Check Engine Express and they fixed my brakes for $1000 cheaper. read more

LOVE this MIDAS! I cannot say enough about the staff and the service. We moved here from Boston and did not have a local trustworthy mechanic. I had a minor car emergency with a muffler. I pulled into the Midas Station without an appointment and a full waiting room of customers. I was given an emergency appointment for the next day. Due to my dragging muffler, I was also given a car rental to drive until my car was fixed! I was treated like an old family friend and my car was as well. Thank you for going above and beyond. It was a true pleasure doing business with you guys and I will return and I well share my experience with all my neighbors. Adam did a wonderful job hanging this exhaust. Borla tends to be manufactured to "almost" fit, Adam with his bending skills made it fit like a glove. He is an artist and I recommend them definitely for performance exhaust. If that can do that great of a job with performance exhaust imagine how great their regular exhaust and routine maintenance will be. I will be back. I wish I didn't have to leave a poor review, this will be my first negative Yelp review but I had a very negative experience at this location. I went in for a simple oil change and headlight bulb replacement. I had an appointment made ahead of time and was the only one in the waiting room. It took an hour and 25 minutes. I went and looked at my car a couple of times and no one was even working on it. I just don't think this is the "Speedee" touch that is advertised. I do understand that things can sometimes take longer than expected, but the part that was so disheartening for me is that I was also sold some false information. I don't pretend to know much about cars, so my hope is just that when I go somewhere, they will give me honest information. I was told I needed to replace both headlights if one was out because having one out drains the other. Thankfully this wasn't a ridiculously pricey fix, but I trusted what I was told. After I left, I spoke with a mechanic friend and found that this is not at all true. His exact words, "you got played." Needless to say, the slow service and dishonest recommendations will not have me returning here. read more

I went to this store for an Uber inspection on Friday. I have been an Uber driver in the twin cities for 5 years. I have had inspections done at the Midas store in Ridgedale, St. Louis Park and Roseville in the past without any problems whatsoever. When I walked in for my appointment on Friday for the inspection, they wanted to charge me $119.00. I told them the rate for drivers is $35.00 and specifically mentioned the car had an engine light. The inspection is supposed to cover the entire vehicle including the engine light to ensure passenger safety on the road. After waiting an hour and half, they told me they never even looked at the engine light. They offered to read the codes. If I wanted codes read on an engine light, I would have gone to AutoZone where they do it for free and be out in 5 minutes. I left a negative review about my experience the same day. Then a store employee called me afterwards and accused me of REQUESTING FREE SERVICES by asking to see why there was an engine light. Again, the rate negotiated between Uber and Midas for a full driver vehicle inspection is $35.00. As someone who not only takes great pride in providing excellent customer service each time as a driver, to say I was disappointed at my treatment at this Midas store is an understatement. I will also be contacting Midas headquarters about my treatment at this store. read more
