$60 oil change turned into $112 and the free tire rotation never happened because I marked the tires and they are in the same spot.

They've been great the past few years I've been going. The one time I had a bad experience they gave me a free oil change.

During my most recent visit, one of the mechanics put in a new bulb for my headlight at no cost. Score! They also take the time to explain things, which I appreciate. Fast and friendly service--can't go wrong!

To Corporate Management,…read more I am writing to formally log a complaint regarding a deeply disturbing experience at your Chanhassen, MN location. The interaction, which was escalated entirely by the store manager, involved unauthorized vehicle service, the humiliation of an employee, an abuse of emergency services, and--most alarmingly--the hazardous sabotage of my vehicle before I left. The details of the incident are outlined below: 1. Hostile Interaction and Unauthorized Service The interaction began poorly when the manager greeted me with a visibly hostile and condescending attitude. I presented an expired 15%/20% coupon, which he refused to honor. While I was frustrated by his tone, his communication regarding whether any alternative discount would be applied was completely unclear. While we were still disputing the pricing, the manager proceeded to service my vehicle without my consent. I would not have authorized the service had I known no accommodation was being made. 2. Mistreatment and Humiliation of Staff While waiting, I witnessed the manager severely demean and humiliate a lower-level employee in front of customers. When the employee was processing information, the manager mocked him, stating, "Your brain Wi-Fi is not working and slow." This toxic behavior toward a subordinate created an incredibly uncomfortable environment. 3. Escalation, Verbal Threats, and Police Involvement At checkout, the manager demanded full price and rushed me. When I expressed my annoyance that he hadn't clearly communicated his refusal before doing the work, he threatened: "We can do this the easy way or the hard way." The manager then escalated the situation by calling the police, falsely claiming that I had "gotten in his face." Because of his aggressive demeanor, I began recording the interaction for my own safety. The manager walked up to me and told me to stop recording, to which I replied, "No, or what?" I have video footage of this entire sequence. The recording clearly proves that I never aggressively approached him; rather, he was the one who approached and attempted to intimidate me. 4. Severe Vehicle Sabotage and Safety Hazard When the police arrived, they cleared me to leave. However, immediately upon driving away, I discovered that the technicians did not tighten my oil drain plug/screw, causing the vehicle to leak oil heavily, "like a sink." I strongly believe this was done intentionally as an act of retaliation and sabotage. I immediately returned to the scene and reported this dangerous sabotage directly to the police officer who was still there. While the Valvoline staff offered to fix it, I absolutely refused to let them touch my vehicle again given their hostility. Instead, I had to drive to an alternate oil change facility immediately to have the loose plug secured and the lost oil replaced before my engine suffered catastrophic damage. Conclusion and Resolution This situation goes far beyond poor customer service; it involves intentional vehicle endangerment, fraudulent police reports, and a manager who is a severe liability to your company. I request a full investigation into this incident, including a review of the shop bay video footage from that day. I expect compensation for the cost of having the sabotage corrected at the secondary facility, and I demand immediate corporate disciplinary action regarding this manager. I look forward to your prompt response.
