    SCAM!! SCAM! SCAM! I came to this location for the 2nd time this week to get an oil change for my wife's car this time. It was about 4:00pm . The guy at the counter said they had time and I handed over my keys to the mechanic who was in the lobby at the time. They were slow and there were no other customers . He pulled my car into the bay and I could hear him opening up the hood and working on it . A few minutes go by and the mechanic comes in and starts speaking in another language to the guy at the counter so I look up at the mechanic and he tells me there is a problem that he wanted to show me. So the three of us go out to the car, it's up on the lift and they have me walk under the car and proceed to tell me the drain plug is broken , the threads are either broken and that it just keeps spinning. As I'm watching him spin the plug he is spinning it in the opposite direction as if he was tightening it. They told me they would have to break it off and that the oil pan would need to be replaced as well. They asked if I wanted to proceed and have them fix it. I said " no not right now I'll just leave" . They give me a quote before I left for $705 , I look up an oil pan for my car at most it's $234 . The paper I was given said the part was $428 and $285 labor. I left and went back home. The next day I get under my car to look at the lug myself which I found was loose and I spun it to the right three or four times and it tightened . I just took it to my normal mechanic shop(using them for the last 10 years)today because I figured if there was more to it I trust him and they will fix it. I didn't tell him what Midas said about the drain plug and oil pan being broken and needing to be replaced . I got a phone call from my normal mechanic today . They said they performed the oil change and never mention once anything about the plug or pan. Those guys at Midas tried to play me that night hoping I wasn't car smart and would just let them sayfixsomething that they most likely would have never replaced . I will never come back here again. It's sad that you can't just go get an oil change without stuff like this happening . It makes me wonder how often this location has done this to other people.

    Went to get an oil change but the technician forgot to tighten the bolt. The protective shield fell off but they did not want to take responsibility. Asked for their names so I can field a complaint with corporate but they refused. The manager claims their names are private. Had to call the cops. Don't go to this Midas on Thornton. Bad service and bad technician

    I got a flat tire on Halloween night after work, most of the place have closed at the time. I was lucky I was still covered under warranty below 36k, Honda roadside assistance came out to get my spare tire on. I called Midas by my home, and the person on the phone was very resourceful and able to help answer my questions, get me the quote and appt on the same day. I'm pleased with the service.

    No coolant. The reason why the low coolant dash is on.

    Absolutely awful automotive repair experience. Please stay away. Got a kid (can't be older than 8) running around playing in shop too! A simple question of "where did you buy coolant from, so I can top off the low coolant that you guys left? I have a low coolant light on directly after getting my coolant system fixed." Instead of telling me where. He rather argue and get loud with me. It's a closed. Pressurized system and I'm quite familiar with it. I'm getting over being sick otherwise I wouldn't have brought to you. Without questioning his 25 year experience mechanic couldn't have made a small mistakes and it's a lil under filled? No. Wanted to justifying by saying " maybe it over heated" within the 10 minutes of me driving? We filled it fully they claimed That's impossible! Also, just because it took your mechanic longer than expected isn't the customers fault. It could be the mechanics experience with that certain engine. Or just made a simple mistake. Wish I went somewhere else. Honestly anywhere else would've been better. 1,100$ later, argued and got loud with a customer, also topping off my own coolant after they serviced my coolant system is my experience.

    Ask too much money just try to grab as much money as they can .its like robbery they don't care about your money bunch of scammers

    My father was there and he had to return 4 times and they tried to charge him over 700$ for a muffler. An absolute rip off. Do not go here.

When I returned, instead of fixing their mistake, they claimed they had no availability and said they could repair it next week leaving me without any vehicle for the whole weekend. Breaking something during service and then asking the customer to wait for the whole weekend to fix it is beyond ridiculous. Completely unprofessional and irresponsible.

When I was trying to pre arrange to bring in my car to get checked on he wanted to have it there on his time and not mine. Once I agreed to his time and date he acted like he gave into what I needed he asked why I showed up that day and claimed he agreed to Monday. But I'm a very meticulous person I had Friday on my calendar he even made a comment for me to uber to work bc I said It would be an issue to bring on a work day and a non issue on my free day. When he finally got the part for my car he waited until I showed up to tell me the part didn't work out. So he left it in when I asked why he didn't simply communicate with me and put my old part back in he said it was too much or double the work. Then later proceeds to call me to say he needs the car back to take out the part and put my old part back because he needed to return the part. Very strange bc he could've saved both of us some time just doing it then and there. When I asked for my money back he said he was going to deduct 100$ for the "work" but I don't think it's just taking in consideration that my car was not fixed. He ordered another part and claimed it arrived broken so I'll just take it to Honda and pay whatever their fee is to get it done correctly. He also refused to give me any invoices / itemized receipt for the parts / work being done. Saying it would've been more to write it up in the shop meaning I don't know if I'm being charged accordingly or overcharged.
