Needed to look for another garage since the gas station that I usually went to had remodeled and replaced the former garage with a convenience store. Browsed yelp and Autotek seemed worth checking out. Was set up pretty quick and brought my car in for an oil change. The spot is located in a quiet industrial lot across from a lawned public park, and coincidentally unbeknownst to me.. I had thought the lot looked familiar when I drove in because Autotek is neighbors with where I get my smog checks. I think my car has found its family . Got to meet Peter, the manager. He was very cool and cordial. He's got jokes too. Pricing is about what you'd find anywhere else nearby--the oil is good. Service was as clean and quick as expected of professionals. The mechanic Javier wasted my time on multiple occasions even though I would provide the best communication to not make it a rushed inconvenience job. When I was trying to pre arrange to bring in my car to get checked on he wanted to have it there on his time and not mine. Once I agreed to his time and date he acted like he gave into what I needed he asked why I showed up that day and claimed he agreed to Monday. But I'm a very meticulous person I had Friday on my calendar he even made a comment for me to uber to work bc I said It would be an issue to bring on a work day and a non issue on my free day. When he finally got the part for my car he waited until I showed up to tell me the part didn't work out. So he left it in when I asked why he didn't simply communicate with me and put my old part back in he said it was too much or double the work. Then later proceeds to call me to say he needs the car back to take out the part and put my old part back because he needed to return the part. Very strange bc he could've saved both of us some time just doing it then and there. When I asked for my money back he said he was going to deduct 100$ for the "work" but I don't think it's just taking in consideration that my car was not fixed. He ordered another part and claimed it arrived broken so I'll just take it to Honda and pay whatever their fee is to get it done correctly. He also refused to give me any invoices / itemized receipt for the parts / work being done. Saying it would've been more to write it up in the shop meaning I don't know if I'm being charged accordingly or overcharged. read more

Actually pretty funny. Disclaimer: I did not get work done from this business, but called in an attempt to get my car repaired. I called the business. Guy picks up who sounds extremely uninterested. Not a big deal, he's a mechanic and he was probably super busy. I get it. Guy isn't listening to me talk, almost like talking to a dialtone. I repeat myself twice, simply trying to get an idea of availability. After paying no attention to anything I said, he replied in quite epic fashion, "Give me your phone number, I'm gonna have to call you back. my local shop that typically does my cng 3 year inspection lost their certification so i began searching for a new shop to do this work. i was delighted to find out that autotek offers this type of service and wasnt too far away. they specialize in CNG but also do general repairs and maintenance for all cars. to schedule an appointment was a simple call and a few weeks later i was at autotek to have my car inspected. while they worked on my car i waited in their lobby area. the inspection along with a receptacle replacement took about 2 hrs total. the overall service at this small shop was exceptional in that they were very professional, accommodating on allowing appointments, reasonable on pricing and were very friendly. thank you peter and to the team for doing an awesome job. read more

Peter is definitely the most reliable and honest mechanic I've ever had. I've been going here for over 5 years, and realized I needed to write this well-deserved review of his business. I drive an Audi A4 (European), which can actually be a bit difficult to find a mechanic that knows how to properly repair these cars. Peter and his crew almost always have my car out the same day unless something extensive has happened, which, understandably, takes more time. Peter has always made sure the car is running perfectly before sending it back out on the road, and in many cases, has taught me how to maintain some basic things on my own, to save me the labor fees. Peter's as professional as it gets. I first went to him with a A/C problem where my A/C just blew hot air. Peter ran some tests and determined that I had a leak somewhere. He refilled my coolant and put a dye, so that the next time it ran out, it would help him root cause where the problem is. A few months later, as my A/C ran out of cold air again, I went back to him. He recommended a system flush with UV dye and explained that it would keep the AC working for a few months and if the issue persisted, the dye would be able to indicate the source of the leak -- a cheaper option than doing diagnostic work and parts replacement up front. I was recommended this place by a trusted neighbor. I brought in my car for a small problem that caused the car to not start. Peter and his folks quickly identified the battery problem and managed to jump start the car in like 1 min. He then ran a code check of the vehicle which shows a lot of minor problems related to the battery voltage. Then the car was taken for a short drive to charge up and afterwards we did a battery test, which shows the battery was healthy. It's likely a one time issue that drained the battery somehow. Peter was really knowledgeable and helpful and they did not charge a dime for all the diagnostics and the help.
