What a breath of fresh air! If you have not been to this Midas for a while, they are definitely worth a trip! Under newer management, "Tee" is very respectful, knowledgeable, honest and fair. Thomas, the Mechanic that worked on my car was a blessing. I brought my car in for an oil change, radiator hose change and cooling flush. While he was working on the car he noticed that my sway bar links were broken (which was causing a loud noise) and more importantly a front wheel bearing that was literally on the verge of complete failure. This could have left me stranded on the side of the road....or worse! What I got from my experience at this Midas was respect, along with an honest and fair assessment of my car. And more importantly they gave me the confidence that they were the right people to make the needed repairs to my car. I came in for an oil change 11/4/22. They said I had an oil leak and gave me a written quote for repairs which was $1320. A friend who is a mechanic looked at the quote and showed me how they were trying to overcharge me almost double for the parts. He is doing the job for me for $575. They are crooks. My oil light came on after only changing my oil only a week before so I knew there was something wrong. I also had trouble stopping. Worried, I went to the closest auto place, which was here. The technician said he couldn't get my oil light to come on but my brake fluid one did. Come to find, my brake hose was leaking a bunch of fluid. I was so thankful they found that! The technician was also very nice about showing me under my car and other seals and such to keep an eye on. (I thought this was great...people don't usually do that) also, the wait times were exactly as they predicted for the new hose to get there and to be replaced and such. HOWEVER, the next day, my oil light was back on. Took it somewhere else and they found that my oil pressure switch was bad and oil was leaking through it. The technician at Midas even showed me that oil was leaking but told me it was a seal going bad. Guess they didn't believe me enough about the light coming on to take a closer look into any oil problems. In conclusion, mixed reviews of the place but during my time there I saw many people come in and out for oil changes that have been there multiple times so I guess they are good for that. read more

I have been taking my 3 older cars(one is my daughter who attends college out of state) to Midas for a few years now. With cars all over 100,000 and our truck over 200,000 miles it is hard to find mechanics that don't "find"new problems or add on work that needs to be done. I have found this Midas to be the real deal! They are always super helpful and we have recieved qautlity and dependability everytime. I don't know anything about cars but the front desk people have always been great in explaining what I need to have done and what can wait in a way that this girl can understand. Barb is especially helpful because she always helps me undertand without sounding like a know-it-all and she never makes me feel stupid. Now my husband is another matter. He wants to know the how and why of everything and they are always prepared to answer all of his questions. When my daughter came home for Christmas the team was awesome in going over her car and making sure that everything was in great running order. All we asked for was a oil change but because they care about their customers they did the check free of charge. They also have helped in finding discounts and deals. Who does THAT anymore??? THEY DO !!! Today our truck needed new ball joints. Tommy(one of the mechanics) made sure that we had the best parts for our truck and didn't stop til he got the right ones. WOW ! First off front desk clerk was very nice but will do her best to be a know it about cars till you question something then she doesn't know a thing. For seven hours I got to watch a endless parade of people come and go wondering why their cars still weren't right, making noise, tires rotated and not balanced, which I found just plain stupid and why check engine lights were still on, one lady quoted 1200.00 for a brake job on a 2000 Nissan Maxima she had her own pads, they told her her exhaust pipe was loose and the gases may have caused the pads to wear funny, radiator was loose needed rotors calipers everything she left, went to ford dealer came back to wave her bill 179.00 Liars, tricksters, shady, and if you think I'm making this up get this I got there at 7:55 it's now 3:25 in the afternoon for rear drum breaks on my van 398.00 I supplied parts from Napa where they go clowns if you go here your nuts Google this "how much should it cost to fix my whatever year make and model" Press send and you'll be amazed I've seen documentaries about this stuff but thought those days were over my fault I paid my bill prayed to the karma gods and left without blowing my top I never neeeeeeeevvver write reviews but buyer beware these guys are a rip off my brother Danny is a ASE certified mechanic and he was flabbergasted at this he lives in Provo that's why I didn't get him to do it. The mechanic smiled at me with his grin and said yes he doesn't set the prices the computer does. Easter weekend van in the lift and grand babies to see pouring down rain I was stuck so I lived up and took it like a man. My suggestion to you is go to pep boys I here three on o e is much nicer. DO NOT GO HERE REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE! Most horrible experience I've ever had! I came in to have a pipe that rusted out from my exhaust re welded and hangers fixed because they were messed up. So I took it to this Midas hoping they could fix it. They welded it wrong and they never put my exhaust back up in the correct spot since i didn't know this I left and went back home to pa. Once home my husband notice that something wasn't right and said I needed to go back problem was this store was in md and we lived 3hrs away and for my car that's $60-$80 gas round trip which I didn't have so we took it to a local Midas up in pa they said they wouldn't touch it because the weld was done wrong and the muffler was not correctly hanged in its correct spot and that I needed to go to the original Midas I had it fixed at first to fix it! I work paycheck to paycheck same as my hubby and we couldn't afford another ride down in Jan2017 so finally we are able to get down here in July 2017; mind you the work is covered for 12months and they said if any issues bring it back! So now because we got down here there's an issue where my hubby backed up to far and hit the muffler and he shouldn't have even hit the curb but because of there screw up and the muffler was hanging low it now has this damage! This Midas needs to fix the issues I have listed but after today going in and talking to who I assume is one of the main guys he was nasty and a complete jerk and doesn't listen at all! I would love to have Midas resolve this and fix the problems but I need to speak with someone higher up but he wouldn't give me that information. So i paid to have my exhaust fixed it was not fixed correctly and because of that damage has happened that shouldn't of happened because of their mistake! PLUS: while in the shop discussing the issues with my car, 2 other people were told they had nails in the same tire; yet nothing was shown to either customer! Plus he said not to worry he put air in the tire and recommended they needed to get 4 new tires because of one bad one! "THEY BREAK IT, YOU PAY FOR A NEW ONE" PLEASE, take a few minutes to read this. It's worth your money... My wife let me know that her brakes were starting to squeale, so I went to have the brake pads replaced. I was told that they would need to look at it first, then give me an estimate. I've changed plenty of brakes in my life, so I knew they wanted to measure the rotors to see if they couldn't be resurfaced. I let them have it to look at while a friend and I went to lunch. When we got back, I was told that it needed 4 rotors, pads, 2 rear calipers, a brake flush, and the best part... The mechanic broke the top of my oil dipstick off (they had to get one from the dealership), and an installation charge for the dipstick. OK, so here's when you know someone's trying to squeeze you for every last dime... My first problem I had was that I came for brakes (SPECIFICALLY), and they break off my oil dipstick; in the engine. I don't remember my engine's oil dipstick being located in, on, near, or connected to any braking system component. So when I asked why I had to pay over $100.00 for an oil dipstick, that isn't part of what I asked them to estimate, I was told that they check everyone's oil. Even better, I would have to pay around $150.00 for the installation. So I have to pay $250.00 for something that they broke, on something they weren't supposed to touch in the first place! Secondly, they estimated over $2,000 between parts and labor, not including the dipstick at all. My vehicle has 50,000 miles, and the front pads were changed the year before. Not only did my jaw drop, but my friend's did as well. Of course they wouldn't know that I knew how to work on cars, or that my friend had managed a large car dealership for over 30 years, and was a certified mechanic trainer by the manufacturer. We wouldn't have even been there if we weren't busy cooking for the holiday. Needless to say, I thanked them for the estimate, and breaking my car, then left. We took it upon ourselves that evening to head up to Auto Zone and bought the parts, and used it to teach the younger guys (over the holidays) who hadn't had a chance to learn how to do it. Midas parts ~ $650, AutoZone ~ $400. Oh, and that brake flush that's over $400... Auto Zone had a sale on Prestone $6.99 (32 oz) + buy 1 get 1 free. Labor cost me some ham and turkey. Also, after we got everything off, it only needed pads, 1 rotor, and 1 caliper. It's all shiny and new now though...even the dipstick. read more

So I went to Midas today for their oil change special. I figured I would give them a try. So I get there, the person takes all my information and then tells me since I need special weight oil that the oil change will be $59.99. This is absurd since the oil change price is 19.99, and 5 quarts of the full synthetic special weight oil is only 24.00. I could have seen $40.00 as reasonable but not an extra $40 it the oil is only $20 more. Plus the person behind the counter says all the new cars in the last 5 years take special oil. So the marketing is a scam. read more

Took my car in to get an oil change and they said my AC filter needed changed. So I had them change it. The next time I used my a/c or heat, it made huge rattling noises and sounded like a chain saw. I went in to tell them to fix it and they said leaves were stuck in my motor... No, leaves don't make that sound. Highly disappointed. Would love for them to fix it but scared for them to even touch it again. read more
