UPDATE: I contacted corporate immediately using the link provided in their response and...crickets. This is my surprised face: :-0 Replacing the brake light and putting in a new circuit fuse have helped, but I'm still getting a "hill assist" error message from time to time. So, basically, I solved my own problem and will continue to troubleshoot the hill assist issue. I suspect I can program it away...we'll see... I'm now forced to conclude that they basically stole $682 from me. read more

The woman service writer has no clue what she is doing, And will refuse to answer or Explain any if the services performed. I went there to get my brakes checked, they did nothing with my brakes, My car has the same issues as before, they replaced 4 sensors, And she couldn't tell me why they needed Replacing, she said if you want your car back this is what you have to pay.. Have our Mobil1 full synthetic oil change and tire rotation here in preparation for few months excursion in Canada and Alaska. No appointment needed just moozy on over, assured the front manager. And sure enough, they immediately get busy with our vehicle and in no time our vehicle fluids were top off, tires set at our request 35psi all around, new synthetic oil quiet all valves and sprockets... our truck purrs like a kitten. While waiting for the truck to be ready, she even offered few local scenic spots; Lava Canyon and Mt St Helen. Yep! I'm a year delayed in writing this, but as we've just passed Labor Day - I was reminded. So... on Labor Day Friday of 2017 I was driving my Focus from Portland back to Seattle. It was 8:30-ish pm when things got weird. All my lighting went dim and he transmission downshifted, then last my gauges and my speedometer. Traffic was heavy (of course it was) on I-5. Northbound. I kept driving - nervously... and what choice do you really have? It's later Friday night on a long weekend. It's a bit grim. About 2 miles later, when I'm 3 miles sout of Kelso-Longview... the car shuts down completely. And of course it's not about to restart. So the situation went from "grim" to downright major "THIS SUCKS!!" So... I'm over as far to the right as I can get - partially on the I-5 shoulder and partially on the grass with enough electric (thankfully) for 4-way flashers. I call AAA, who get me tow truck out of Kelso (Carl's Towing) who got to me within 45 minuets and who towed me to Midas Muffler in Kelso. Okay - feeling way better. The car is in their lot and I drop the keys in the key slot with my explanation and phone number. They reached out to me the next day and was I very relieved to know they were open at 8 am on the Labor Day Saturday. You never know. They said it was a battery problem. I had suspected alternator but was glad to hear "battery" instead, and it should be done by 10 am. However - they did call back a bit later to say the alternator was now acing up and wasn't testing properly. I was afraid to ask, "How long to get one?"... but they said they should have it from NAPA within the hour. Great news again! In the end - they had the car repaired and good to go by around 1 pm Saturday. The battery, alternator, labor came in at just over $700.00, but considering the "fix" I was in I didn't really care. I went from stranded on a long weekend to being back on the road within 16 hours. Good work by AAA, Carl's Towing, NAPA, and of course Midas! read more

This afternoon I stopped at Midas to get an estimate of a lot of work I need done. The girl in the office said it would just be a few minutes. After watching 2 employees in the shop, one kind of working and the other one sitting on a bucket smoking and visiting with the employee who was trying to work, she finally came out to me and said they wouldn't have time after all and I would need to leave my vehicle and they would look at it in the morning. I told her I lived on the other side of Kelso and she just looked at me dumb founded. I told her I could see for myself how hard they were working and she got smart mouthed. This place just lost over $2,000 worth of work plus the future work of 5 families and counting... NEVER again will I go to this place. If I could give it a zero I would.... read more

First time going to a Midas. Never going to this location ever again. First of all, the waiting room was disgusting. Cobb webs, spiders, no wifi. A tv that wasn't on, no AC or even a fan inside that stagnant waiting lobby. Absolutely foul. I go needing a wheel alignment. Only to tell me I have a bad ball joint. (Hog wash I just got my front end done). These people obviously don't care doing their jobs and love ripping people off. Never ever going here again. read more

I was initially pleased with the fast and friendly oil change preformed on my 2015 VW Passat (first time not taking it to dealer for service). Then my oil change light came on and I thought perhaps they just forgot to reset it. Checked oil and it was close to empty so added oil and took it to VW dealership. They said the entire undercarriage of my car was covered in oil and that whoever changed the oil never replaced the oil plug with a new one (VW requires new plug at each oil change). Then I noticed it all over my driveway as well. Fully synthetic oil so $90 per oil change. So now close to $200 later and Midas wasn't willing to reimburse me nor were apologetic. Needless to say I won't be bringing my vehicles there anymore, despite the convenient location. I really wish they had been willing to make things right with me. read more

I was passing through while moving north and thought I heard noise from my tires. I stopped in as the result of a recommendation from my father. I asked for the front brakes to be changed. They told me they're call with an estimate. They called to tell me nothing was wrong, except for a shim that had moved. They fixed it and sent me on my way at no charge! It's amazing to find a honest and fair mechanic these days. Kudos!!! read more

called midas for a quote on putting my subaru legacy wagon back in time and midas was cheapest got my car there only instructions that i gave them was to not put my car in park and leave it in neutral and pull the e-brake and when i went to pick it up they pushed it to a parking spot and the lady that runs the front desk was steering the car why'll the mechanic pushed it and after they got it parked the bitch put it in park and smiled as she got of my car, and then after i got in it i noticed that they had completely disconnected my e-brake for no reason so i went back inside and asked the lady why did they put it in park after i gave them pacific instructions not to and she just stood there with a big smile on her face and said oh well wtf is wrong with this place i wouldn't not recommend this place to anyone read more
