Price advertising $99.00 with you waiting! My price out the door $148.00 no mention of before hand if my saab would be an up scale in price , just the price of $148.00 no mention of the time frame 30 days ,one year etc Not if it was just me some other factors! This shop took advantage of my 84 year old Mother I had them check car after parking block damaged exhaust system that turned out to be a claim with her insurance they over charged for parts by &1500 a 200 % over oem price never told me until car was done they say they told my mother but I talk to them several times never was told they are charging over was was covered by Progressive Insurance claim approved this is poor practice also refused to prove why the cost over oem cost also left exhaust hanging down never installed bolts in hanger for mid section of exhaust damaged the front of the car and refused to let me speed to the owner read more

We really wanted to like this place because it is so easy to make an appointment, however this was the last straw for us. My husband was changing our wiper blades today and opened the hood of our car for the first time since we had our oil change and tire rotation in October. This screw driver was left in our engine compartment.... This is reckless. We have been driving around for two months like this. We are lucky it was in a spot it couldn't move or cause damage to our car that has less than 30,000 miles. The oil change before this last one we also had an issue with oil leaking because they did not tighten something tight enough. Just beware. read more

By far, this is the most exceptional car repair place in the area! Their trustworthiness and the way they treat their customers is akin to treating them like family! As a single mother with limited knowledge about cars, I recently visited Midas for service. Prior to that, I had been informed that my vehicle required extensive repairs and was prepared to pay a substantial amount to get those repairs done. However, after Midas inspected my car, they informed me that not all the repairs I had been informed about were necessary and only serviced what was needed. Our 2011 Kia Soul started making a rattling noise at the top end of first gear and then again half way through second gear. Took it to the dealer who said it was the flex pipe, part would cost $400 plus two hours labor. However it could require replacing the entire exhaust system if the flex pipe couldn't be removed without damaging the exhaust pipe. We wanted a second opinion so we took the car to Midas who found it was a plate that was loose, they tightened the screws and no more rattle!! I had my second visit with Midas of Orland Park. This time it was to get a radiator flush. Ken or Kent, took the time to look at my vehicle and let me know that it did not need a flush or new hoses, he could have easily done the work and I would not have know the difference. I decided to get an oil change, so I didnt waste their time. I also went in this summer to get new brakes, they were most reasonable price in town and once again I was prepared to pay for ALL new brakes but was told I did not need them, which saved me hundreds. I had a car serviced here today. Originally it was for an oil change and then they found that a ball joint needed to be replaced. They offered a ride home or wherever i needed to be, but i declined because it was supposed to be 2 hours at the most. It ended up being over 3 hours because it took awhile to get the ball joint off. I would highly recommend to anyone. I rarely give a review, but it is well deserved. I brought my car in for an inspection, mainly related to brakes, and I received a thorough report on recommendations for the car. This included what should be done now vs what can wait. Though not surprising, the list was slightly longer than expected. I explained to Tom that I was contemplating trading the car for a new one vs investing money into needed repairs. He was completely empathetic and even recommended taking my car to CarMax for an estimate before wasting time at a dealership. Further, he said that if I decided to bring the car back for the repairs, he was certainly willing to do the work in stages, based on priority, to spread the cost. I brought my car in today at 11:30 since it was making a very loud noise after I drove over a high curb. The guy at the front desk said that it would take about 1.5 hours and offered to drive me home or I could wait. Since the public library was only a few blocks away, I said that I would wait there. At 1:30 I called to ask about their progress, and they reported that they have not been able to check out the car yet. I asked how much longer... he said "sometime this afternoon" ??? Since I had other commitments, I asked for my car back, and I left. When I got back to their office they offered some bullsh**t excuses, but basically they just wasted two hours of my time without doing anything. If they needed 5 hours, then tell me 5 hours... don't tell me 1.5 hours and then keep me waiting and think that is okay. read more

Another time I came in and asked if they would be able to put a new grill on my car if I brought the part in, they did it in ten minutes and didn't charge me. They called me later and told me that they were able to get the condenser for much less than book price. They gave me the better price. Hundreds of dollars less.
