I have been a customer for over 20 years I took all my families cars to them and would recommend them to family and friends !.. but something happen when I took my 1969 Plymouth GTX for a gear box replacement, Well the master Tech installed it and it developed a leak by the power steering reservoir and they couldn't tell me why the leak happen and they couldn't figure it out and started to give me run around and making all sorts of excuses and finally gave up on me ! Come to find out that they screwed it up by not making sure not to check for wheel play without the engine being turned on so the power steering unit could send the steering oil throughout the system but their ineptness caused the problem so I took my original gear box to Quality Remanufacturing in Bedford Park IL, to have it redone and I called Jesse at Midas to let him know that I have the original one rebuilt and when can they reinstall it and he tells me that that week they are booked up so I asked for an appointment for the following week and he say fine to let him know so I asked him if there was going to be a Charge for the mistake they caused to my Classic GTX and the Gall of this shop and Jesse when he said they would charge me what they charged me the first time when they screwed up the installation which was about $700.00 Dollars also I asked if I could have the owner Mr. Bratcher of Bratcher Enterprise phone number so we could discus this problem and he said that they couldn't which is understandable so I asked them to give him my number so he can call me at his convenience, that was about a month ago and nothing but Crickets !!! I personally don't recommend this shop ! ..They should be ashamed of themselves ! read more

Would never recommend them to anyone! I went in for an oil change and was told that my car needed over $3,000 worth of repairs. It seemed very fishy so I went to another mechanic who told me that my car had no issues. A few months later, I had to get another oil change because they did not fill the oil all the way. Never recommend this place!!!they broke the one parts during the inspection and cost me extra $192:99 and they say that they didn't. I'm with my dealer over 15 years and I always have a honest people working on my car but my daughter took my car to Midas because she was thinking about the cost. The Midas give her almo $1,400.00 for front and back brakes for my Gt Hyundai Elentra 2013 which the back have been done last year and they didn't want to take responsibility for a broken one stud cross threaded during the inspection ! the person from a service doesn't wanted even look at the my dealer invoice because he knows what happened! all what I pay to my dealer was for front brakes was $280.00 plus I have to pay extra for broken part $192.99 THIS PLACE SHOULD BE CLOSED FOR A BUSINESS!!! They either do not know their business, or deliberately tried to over charge for services that were not needed. I was told I needed a catalytic converter and exhaust system. They quoted a price of $1400. Went to Fair Muffler on 83rd & Cicero. Was told catalytic converter was fine and all I needed was a flex pipe and the rear muffler pipe. Cost was $232.00 Car runs fantastic, very quiet and couldn't be happier. Felt like midas was trying to deliberately take advantage of a woman by herself, that or they don't know their business. I am really disappointed with their customer service and the policies. My tire was flat so I look for the closest place to my house to fix it, we went to Midas and to tell you the truth they look at you like "you are asking them for a favor and not for service". I own 3 trucks and one of them is not brand new and as soon as they look at your car they assume "the car is old" really? I usually take the car to the LEXUS dealer and it is in very good condition but due to the circumstances of the tire I went across the street to TIRE SERVICE COMPANY and it was a totally different story. Went there with an exhaust leak, guy comes out and just pokes his head under my truck....shakes his head and we go inside..he works for a minute on the computer and prints me an estimate of four hundred eighteen dollars. .i ssid you didn't even put it on a lift...he responds i know my stuff...so i walk and head to meineke on ridgeland ..up on the lift it goes and guess what a hundred bucks to fix..needless to say they did the work and were really fast and professional. One of the best experiences with a repair shop. The staff was extrememly friendly and knowledagable. I dropped my car off for a diagnostic. They took me back to my condo so I wouldnt have to wait at the shop not knowing how long it would take. They called me and let me know exactly what was wrong, what my options were and how much it would cost. When the work was done they picked me back up to get my car. Always good prices and they never pressure you into getting more work done than needed. They are fast and friendly. I've purchased an air cleaner for my car thinking it would be easy to replace myself but I didn't have a Torx screwdriver. I brought the air cleaner to them and they installed it, no problem. I originally started coming to this particular Midas about a year ago for an oil change and had the most amazing experience ever. For starters, Scott Bella, the owner of this particular location instantly greeted me when I walked in the door, made sure I was comfortable while waiting on my vehicle and set the tone for his mechanics and staff to provide awesome customer service. After my vehicle was complete, Scott went above and beyond by printing out an itemized list of issues he felt was wrong with my vehicle with estimated cost based on importance. From there, I've gone back for every issue I've had with my vehicle. Simply because each member treats my car as if it's their own and i'm drawn in like family. Every time I even call, one mechanic and staff member in particular, Jessie Alverez, Always recognizes me by voice, fits me within the schedule and makes sure I understand the importance of each follow-up. Scott and his staff are very thorough with their customers in making sure we are aware of the issues and understand why certain things are neccessary to be fixed. I had a very bad experience at this Midas. I was charged too much for the unprofessional repair that was done to my rear brake lines. The car is not safe to drive. When I brought the car back they said that the car was safe to dive and this is how they do all of these repairs. The new brakes lines are rubbing on rusty bolts in two spots. I depend on my car and drive many miles for work. It would only be a matter of time for these brakes lines to break. Now my mechanic has to fix the repairs correctly & I'm out all the money that I paid to Midas. Will never go back there again.My mechanic had to remove & repair the new brake lines because your mechanic installed the new brake lines with tie wraps that with the harsh winter conditions will crack & break. One brake line was hanging loose down below the underneath of the car to where it could get caught & break and then I would be in a dangerous situation. I cant believe that they are not concerned about the safety of thier customers. read more

went in there for a basic alignment and they tried to convince me I needed $600 worth of parts that I had just gotten replaced at another shop. refusing to do the work without first fixing the other parts I took my car to a nearby Firestone who did the job no problem. they were giving me attitude when i refused the work and were extremely condescending when I called the other shop back and called them out.
