I went in kinda late one evening due to my brakes scrubbing and making some crazy noise . I was greeted by Lane and told him what was goin on and he was like no worries we can take. a look and see whats going on ! He came and explained what was gonna be done and that the brake inspection wouldnt cost me anything (mason was already working on the truck ) . after about 35 minutes or so lane came and explained what was needed , what was the most important as far safety (I have 3 kids that I have with me most times ) and what could be held off on on versus the immediate needs ! I'd say by this time it's getting pretty close to closing time but Lane and mason jumped right in and didn't mind staying and doin the work!! Honestly I was shocked most people now a days don't stay after their scheduled shift and it was nice that they did with no issue ! they worked diligently as I watched from inside . Lane came inside about the half way mark and explained what they were doin at that point and that it would still be about another 45 mins or so before they were finished ! I really felt in good hands and couldn't have asked for a better experience !! I'd like to say thanks Lane and Mason for going above and Beyond !! (Mr Avalanche has been driving great )! read more

I had the best experience here. I needed a tune up and Chris explained to me exactly what was wrong, how things should properly work, and I got things don all for a very great price! The staff was very polite as well. I don't spend my money in places with horrible customer service. These guys were great! Updated review: I went back for a second time because service was so great. However, this time I went for an oil change, light switch, and air filter change. I was there for 2 hours literally just waiting and watching my car not be worked on (they said i had a light bulb issue that's causing the delay but i didn't see anyone working on my car until the last 15-20 of my 2 hour wait but hey maybe i missed something). Once they were done with my car I got in only to realize my half tank of gas was completely GONE (the light was flashing). My car had literally been running the entire time. They apologized for the wait but by that time my day had gone down the drain and not to mention they left me with no gas smh. Sweet people but just not worth it to me anymore. read more

The Rock Hill Speedee/ Midas store was a nice change from other auto shops. I needed wheel bearings work and went here because of a good recommendation. The lobby is clean, bathrooms are also clean. The manager and assistant manager are honest and respectful, and I watched then treat every customer like they are important. I was very happy with their service, and I will be returning and recommending the Rock Hill store to anyone who needs any kind of auto servicing. read more

Tried to get a headlight bulb change. Said they couldn't do it. Talked about the bumper needed to be taken off . Owners manual clearly said how to do it, with no bumper removal . Maybe tough for a novice , but doable . Maybe they just didn't want to do it . read more

This location is not a Midas. Another business is renting this location, speedee oil change. They sent me an appointment confirmation from a Midas email. After they had serviced the vehicle they notified me this was no longer a Midas, they were only renting the location, and must pay triple what I had originally planned. Coupon for an oil change was $25 from Midas. This turned out to be a $75 bill from speedee oil change. Yes, they notified of corrosion on battery, $15 charge. That would have been ok if the final bill was $25+$15. This business location is very misleading from the start, I would warn anyone coming here there will definitely be a surprise charge. read more

Last week I had gotten a low tire pressure warning on my 2015 Expedition. When I stopped to see what the cause was I noticed that my tires were completely ruined from a major alignment issue. I called Midas of Rock Hill and spoke with the area manager Jimmy. Jimmy offered to get me in for an alignment on the same day, but the tires that I wanted, wouldn't be available until the following day. I dropped my truck off that evening after work and the staff kindly offered to store my vehicle inside for the night. The next morning Jimmy called me to let me know that my front brakes were also warn to the metal. No surprise as they had about 70 miles on them too. By mid-day Jimmy called to let me know that my truck was ready and waiting for me. My wife drove me down late that evening and we got a quick oil change on her vehicle while there. I can't say enough about how grateful we are for Jimmy and the staff at Midas of Rock Hill. Had I driven another mile or two on those old tires, I could've had a blowout and caused an accident. Thankfully, my truck is driving like it's brand new. Again, I am gratefully for the Expertise of the mechanics, the fair pricing, and the Speedee service that was provided by Jimmy and his team. read more

I'll be honest and up front here. Called in needing a quote on some Tune up. The conversation went well and was told to come in Sunday without an appointment and because their mechanic was no available they couldn't give me a quote. I came in at about 10:05am Sunday after they open and was just wanting to get the prices and suggestion on what PM I needed so I can leave my car and come back later. Took my keys, then was made to wait about an hour just to have someone talk to me about prices which they never came. At that point I just wanted to get out and asked for my keys so I can leave. One of the mechanic made a loud snuff in the back once I asked about my keys. I couldn't remember the person that actually talked to me but he was a pretty nice guy and told me he'll work some big discounts and get the quotes right away, but at that point it wasn't about discount to me it was more about trust and customer service. It should have been a simple get the quote, leave my car, then come back later once it was finished. It was nice to offer to fix their mistake but I don't know if I can trust someone after making a complaint, just so they can fix my car for "the cheap" with discounts for spark plug, transmission flush and other things that needed to be done. I stopped by to get the oil changed on my Chevrolet Colorado, its a 2017 with the small four cylinder diesel motor. I tell them it has a catch can that has to be emptied as well as draining the oil pan, shops in the past have been unaware since its a newer engine. The mechanic on duty tells me I don't know what I am talking about, that it is factory sealed and cannot be opened or emptied. When I insist it has to be emptied to do the oil change he gets rude with me and has me just leave. The catch can is extremely simple to empty, it unscrews just like an oil filter and you simply pour whatever oil its collected out then screw it back on. I took the truck to NTB and they had no issue emptying the catch can and acted shocked SpeeDee was unwilling to empty it and insisted it was factory sealed. read more

Great customer service started with the initial phone call. I recently took my Camry to have a noise under the hood inspected. Jason, Mason, and two other gentlemen were able to clearly show me where the noise was coming from. They were not able to resolve the issue, but pointed me in the right direction. Poor customer service and follow up! My parents (60+ y/o) were out of town from Washington, DC and needed a tire for a 1986 Chevrolet Corvette. Thomas told my parents when they called this location around 11:00am that the requested tire was in stock. My parents drove to this location from their hotel and arrived around 12/12:30 and suddenly the tire was at another location and needed to be picked up. Thomas told them that he would go to the warehouse to pick up a tire around that he said was in stock, and hours later around 2:30pm, they said he was gone for the day. My parents waited for hours and could have patroned another business if Thomas would have communicated effectively. If this is how you do business, then I would recommend people to shop somewhere else. I will be sure to report this incident to the Midas Brand Corporation to let them know that these are the people representing their brand. Thankfully they were able to get a tire somewhere else to safely drive back home to DC. Thanks for nothing! read more
