I took my car in because it had been running a little odd (a little shaky) and I felt like I needed to get it checked. After calling several places on Convoy, Drew gave me a great deal on flushing and replacing my coolant. A little over 1/4 of what I was quoted at Aero Auto Repair. I am so amazed by how these auto shops jack up the price for a simple procedure. WARNING, Esteban is very unprofessional. My husband dropped our truck off on a Friday at 8:40am.....28 HOURS LATER our truck is still not ready. They told him Friday evening (right before closing) that they were waiting on a bolt which should have already come in, but this was 9 hours after dropping our vehicle off. They told him he could call an Uber to get home....Not sure what we were supposed to do without a 2nd vehicle. So it's 12:43pm on Saturday and I'm sitting inside of Midas waiting for our truck to be completed (we were never called and told it was done, we just came to sit in the waiting room hoping our presence would help complete the job) and I will repeat this is 28 HOURS (almost 29 hours at this point) later. When we arrived at Midas I'm told by Tony that Esteban was the one working on our truck(Esteban was out to lunch so Tony was my first point of contact. ) Tony was pleasant....but unable to answer my questions. I approached Esteban with multiple questions and the responses I received were "we aren't required to give any type of vehicle or assist with any rides", "I'm not understanding where these complaints are coming from"(implying my husband didn't complain so why am I), and the worst response I received was "well who's truck is it?"(how belittling and sexist as though a woman cannot own a truck, when I primarily drive our truck, my husband was just the one to bring it in because it was by his job) ...I still cannot for the life of me understand why he would question who owned the truck as though that decreased the validity of my complaint) .... tony was there and heard the entire conversation so management please ask him although I'm sure birds of a feather stick together.... We have not received any apologies for the inconvenience from anyone here. But I have filed a complaint with Midas customer service and I'm waiting on Dan Drew(General Manager) to return my call. I am writing this review as I sit here and will list our final time of departure when we are finally told our truck is ready...... Well it's 1:46pm and we're being told parts now rub on our truck. To have it removed will be an additional fee. Esteban claims he told us the spacers would rub but why would we pay 1,200 for work that did not correct anything? We have decided to just pay the $1,200 and have the work corrected elsewhere. VERY disappointed. $1,200 not well spent. DO NOT COME HERE. Final time leaving is 1:53pm. Midas Corporate, there are too many qualified people looking for work for you to tarnish your business name with employees like this. read more

Still here, OVER FOUR HOURS after my appointment this morning for a "check engine" light. Can you get any simpler? Just how I wanted to spend my entire day. Literally nothing gets done on your car here until you get tired of waiting for hours and inquire about your car. As soon as you ask what's the status, THEN they will BEGIN putting your car in LINE to get looked at. I even made an appointment! Just to check my "check engine" light, which entails plugging the car into a machine and seeing what's wrong. After an hour of waiting, I politely asked about my car since 1) I made an appointment, 2) there were plenty of empty spots, and 3) they kept pulling in other cars into the garage before mine. After I asked, the guy said they would get mine in soon, they just had to wait for a garage spot to be clear. Well obviously, since you keep filling them!! After another hour passed, I again asked about my car and he said they knew what was wrong with my car and he'd be with me in a minute. Which actually means 45 mins later. If you know, just tell me so we can fix it and I can out of your hair? It ended up being something fixable and I decided to have it fixed right then, for which he quoted me an hour. An hour and a half later, my car was still sitting in that garage with nobody working on it. I came back from getting a drink and asked about my car AGAIN and he said they would just put the parts in now. Wait what. So what has been happening for an hour and a half? I'm now sitting here staring at my car, with a worker in it for one of the first times all day. I've watched tons of people come and go and it's impossible that they have less complicated problems than me. Mine seems like the only one being ignored. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is the guy seemed polite at first and said he was short-staffed, which could be true and I understand that happens. That said, the fact that mine is the ONLY car still here this much later doesn't give much credit to that statement. Short-staffed so you do everyone else's and not mine? I don't appreciate the runaround treatment Midas. Thanks, won't be back. read more

I came into Midas because my check engine light was on. I had made an appointment so the mechanics started on my car soon after I arrived. It turned out there was a lot wrong with my car, but the mechanics were very kind and showed me everything that was wrong on my vehicle. I'm thankful they found everything they did, otherwise I may have been stranded on the road somewhere. They gave me a great deal and even offered to have my car washed next door since my car was very dirty. I would highly recommend this mechanic and I plan to use this Midas location for my vehicle needs in the future. read more

I have been using this shop for over 10 years and referring to friends & family. It is hard to find a good mechanic/auto shop with honest & certified mechanics. However, Victor the owner, and his GM Ruben are running a shop with both the honesty and integrity you want. Customer Service is at the forefront for this shop. Talk to Ruben (GM) and/or Victor (Owner) they will both take care of you, especially when you treat them with dignity and respect; they return the favor. The techs/mechanics here are very knowledgeable as well. They can solve most problems with vehicles. Whenever they cannot Ruben can refer you to a more specialty shop for the work. Regardless, this shop practically is a fix-all: brakes, oil, transmission, suspension, exhaust, etc. You name it and they can likely do it. They are great problem solvers and are solution-oriented at the best pricing they can give you by shopping around for the parts on your behalf. Don't waste your money at other shops that are full of scams, you will regret it! Also, SD Wheel and Tire Outlet next door has great deals on name-brand Wheels and Tires. Then Bumper Doc next door as well does phenomenal body-work at an affordable price. The center is your one-stop for automotive repair, maintenance, and performance. They all help each other out and collaborate effectively for the customer's benefit. read more

First time here and a miserable experience. I booked an appointment online for an oil change/tire rotation. I received an email stating that they'd contact me within 1 business hour. Nothing. Called them 3 hours later to see if they got it. They said they hadn't received a "fax" about my appointment....... not sure what a fax has to do with an online booking. Maybe some central appointment center faxes the shop a list of appointments or something. Either way, idiotic workflow process for this day and age. Ultimately, they said to bring it by. However, ecause they had already had work due to neglecting my reservation, it took a lot longer than it should have. Drove it around for a while last night. Today, I go to drive it and see that missing a hubcap. There's NO damage to the wheel and didn't hit any potholes. Obviously they didn't install the hubcap correctly. It's afterhours now for the shop, I tried to call for a voicemail. Infinite ring. I called the corporate office. "Someone" will be calling me "as soon as tomorrow." Since they can't pay attention to details, I checked that they actually put oil in the car. Turns out at least they did this part right. However, it's OVERFILLED. The dipstick in my car has a 'bump' to hold it in the tube, they filled to this bump, instead of the fill indicator lines. Per Toyota, the fill on this car with filter should be 3.9 quarts. They filled 4.5 on the invoice. A half quart overfill isn't the end of the world, but man is it sloppy work. An online appointment system that doesn't work, a phone that rings nowhere after hours, completely ineffectual corporate customer service, an oil change shop that can't do proper oil changes, nor reinstall a hubcap properly. First and last 'appointment' with Midas. This level of inattentiveness can be inconvenient at best, deadly at worst. Avoid this shop like the plague. read more

Overall a good experience, especially with price and I do trust them after the experience with their honesty. Derrick was at the front counter and only interacted with him. I had called around to about 12 different places to get an estimate for a rear brake job on my car. They quoted the lowest price and after some thinking I decided to go with them. I used to go to Independent BMW on La Jolla Blvd, but the brake job is 50% more the price I paid here and the dealer is 3x more, so certainly can't recommend an original BMW dealer. Their standard warranty on brake pads is lifetime replacement (which was great to find out), so if you need to replace them, which of course you will, you only need to pay only for installation and drums and rotors the next time. This will be a savings of $75 to $110 the next time depending on which pads you select. Only downside was the wait time to be completed, it changed multiple times from 1pm to 2pm to 2:30pm and finally done at 3:40pm. My initial appointment was at 10am. Instead of waiting in their waiting room, there is a Costco down the street and several restaurants in the area and a dismal Starbucks on the corner, don't waste ur time at the Starbucks, can read my review of the Starbucks here on Yelp. FYI, their price at this Midas was better than the quoted price in PB, so make sure to call around. read more

NATE is the man and really took care of me and charge me way less than other INDEPENDently owned Midas. They are better than FIRESTONE too. I don't understand why GUYS try to get over on FEMALES when it comes to anything..STOP..Ladies go to this MIDAS.. Less headaches and BS.. Thank you Nate and I will be back to get motor mounts done.
