It's really difficult to find a good mechanic now days, especially being a woman. These guys got me in right away, on Saturday! I needed brakes and an oil change. Great price. Fast service. I came in for a key ignition problem for my '02 Galant and when I say I have never been so relieved to know that my problem was so easy to fix coming from them. I was happy when I called at 8 AM and the receptionist was super friendly and welcoming and letting me know what to expect when I arrive. Would not recommend this place to anyone. If you check the reviews on google you will also see why. Took my car to get an oil change and checked my oil after and although it was changed, the oil was filthy! I have gone to other Midas and had a great experiences, however this one was terrible. Take your money elsewhere and check the google reviews! They were also supposed to do a tire rotation and "didn't have time" even though they told me it would be done in an hour and I came back 2.5 hours later and it was still not done! I would highly recommend using another mechanic for your services. Not only was the service slow but they broke a battery cable terminal and and stuck me with the bill. All I came in for was an oil change and they broke my battery cable and blamed me for corroded cable. They ordered the wrong parts and ended up patching the cable together. When all was said and done we left with a battery cable patched together and an oil change that took 3 hours. The guy at the counter treated other customers poorly during our visit. I usually go to my mini dealership to get my oil changed but I always leave with it broken for some reason. So I decided to try this place out. They told me it would take about 45 minutes..it took about an hour an a half due to an unforeseen event. I also asked for a tire rotation so this is what happened. Abraham was the rep helping me out and he was very helpful and professional. He said that they couldn't do a tire rotation because my right back tire had a nail in it. The tire had been alerting my car that it was low in air. I kept refilling the tire but it kept going down by like 5 PSI. They patched my tire and rotated them after giving them the okay to do so. I also was able to set up an appointment by phone, which I saw was some of the complaints from the past posts. I also got a same day appointment also which was awesome. I went to Midas for 3 years. I had a 2009 Nissan Sentra. Abraham and Richard are awesome. They are always great about explaining what exactly the problem is and how they can fix it. They are great about telling you which maintenance items are the highest priority, if you can only fix one item at a time. Sad face. My usual auto shop is closed on weekends but in need of an oil change and diagnosis of my brakes. Midas has convenient hours and they were open so off we go. They perform the oil change and inspect the brakes and fix what needs fixing. But wait! The engine mount needs to be replaced. Ok...go ahead and tack that on to the services. Drive car home and notice there's a NEW weird sound and vibration. hmmm, that can't be right. Take it back next morning. Looks like this brand of engine mount has a rubber thing that is not soft and that's why there's a vibration. We'll have to order a different one. Ok...we come back the following weekend once part gets in. hmmm, looks like the technician changed the wrong part and the part that actually needs to be changed is a different side of the engine. That part needs to be ordered. Are you kidding me!? I have to come back for a 4th time! AND on top of that PAY for the labor and part that still needs to be fixed even though it was the technician that messed it up!!! Fed up at this point, take car in to my normal trusted autoshop (taking time off work). Looks like the engine mount is fine and the noise is coming from the control arm of the suspension (or something like that)...geee...i wonder how that happened?? *apologies for the horrible grammar...but I really don't want to spend another moment thinking about this company* read more

A one-hour break pad job turned into a four-hour ordeal. Not only was I quoted over the phone less than $200 for the job and no more than a two-hour wait, but I was charged over $350 for new break pads and management made me sit there for over 4 hours while people came and went and my car just sat there. They did not even have the courtesy of letting me know it was going to take a long time; instead they just kept lying and saying, "oh, another 15 minutes." The manager, Rick Connors, did not apologize for the poor customer service. He was dismissive of my agitation. Unless you want to spend your entire day in a waiting room, I suggest going somewhere else. read more

Surprise surprise...they tried to con him into using synthetic oil. He didn't bite. And when they called him to advise car was ready he was told they tested the battery and it needed replacement. Absolutely great service from start to finish. Barely limped in with a flat tire thanks to a screw. Scott, the owner, greeted us as soon as we walked in. Walked out to look at the car and got it right in. Let us know the different options depending on worst case/best case scenario. Being from Illinois and only lived here a few years this is the first business I dealt with that felt like home, Scott was upfront honest! I went in for the advertised 19.99 oil change and tire rotation from an online coupon. I spent 10 mins in the shop giving them all bunch of information, they even asked for my address, etc ??! The guy behind the desk was a total con/jerk artist. Even the way, he slided the bill in front of me, like "signed here ... ( fast & easy but do not look at it)" was not totally clean and alert me to actually look at it!!! Hummm, what a surprise: A bill for $80!!! I was like "WTF" (without the TF...) He was like: I applied a $10 off from the coupon. ??? I look at the details listed and found out that he actually charged me for a "synthetic oil" which is why they charge that much. I told him that I DO NOT WANT SYNTHETIC OIL but the 5W30. That my father has the exact same car and never put synthetic oil in his Audi A6. This jerk then looked at me and dare told me: "AUDI REQUIRES SYNTHETIC OIL". Wait a minute.... CON ARTIST!!! Ok, I am a young professional woman with an European accent and I drive an Audi, so this guy assumes he just can rip me off with some stupid assessment! Well, like I said I am european... so I always owned german cars... and this is just a lie! I told him: "You are not Audi ... and if I was wiling to pay that much I would rather go to an Audi shop. I don't want synthetic oil in my car, but Premium oil and there is no way I pay for that much when my last oil change costed me only $20... (I know, nobody can beat that price)". This jerk was like: It is synthetic oil nothing else because of Audi policy... OK ... I just walked away. THIS PLACE IS NOT HONEST. THIS IS A CON BUSINESS. And as I read previous reviews if you are a female, they will totally try to rip you off! This is what they tried to do with me. I finally drove to Convoy Street area "Privelege" shop (where I usually go for wash). they made it with 5W30 Premium oil, inspected my car, and give me a coupon for a free car wash and I only paid $35. This review is a bit overdue. Better late than never! I stopped by Midas to see if I could schedule an appointment to get my brakes inspected and ultimately replaced. Ryan (the Assistant Manager) took very good care of me. My car really needed some TLC as I had been neglecting several routine maintenance jobs. Ryan did a wonderful job of providing me a fast and accurate estimate and even took the time to show me all of the work that needed done. To my surprise, Ryan said that he would be able to complete all the work that I had requested (new brakes, oil change, 2 new tires, tire rotation, and wheel alignment) that same day and within just one or two hours. First I have to start with recognizing Abraham, he has the best customer service. I came in expecting to spend a couple hundred on my breaks. Instead I was told the squeaking was caused by dust and debris. They could have easily sold me on an all new break job, but didn't, I respect their honesty. I got a coupon at vons for a $19.99 oil change and tire rotation. I went it and it was great. Easy to make an online appointment, the people were friendly, they took my coupon no problem and were very straight forward. They suggested that I get new tires but there was no pressure. THAT BEING SAID, they severely over filled my oil tank. That is a BIG problem especially in my VW Jetta. I shouldn't have to check but I'm glad I did. I It was a hassle and I will not be going back. Knowing the amount of oil to add is very simple and should be expected to be correct. read more

These guys are awesome! So my brakes were making a horrible squealing noise for the past week and I called several places to see if they were still open after 5pm. Fortuntately enough they were. So I get my car there and I ask them to perform an oil change while inspecting my brakes. Now during the inspection, one of the techs showed me the old brake shoes and the drum while explaining to me that the shoes were so worn at this point that it wasn't safe for me to drive. So I was thinking that I may have to keep my car there overnight. Total bummer. After a few minutes of the tech conversing with the manager, they went ahead and order the replacement parts and stayed an extra 30 minutes after hours to fix my brakes and get me back on the road. This place really deserves another star based on the treatment I got. I have been getting my oil changed here for about a year and a half, but never had any other real work done. Tis' the season for NEW TIRES!!! They were having a buy 2 get 2 free, which required a purchase of a road hazard package and a year of alignment service, but really I was going to get those anyway. It was a great deal either way. I told them about a mishap that happened last time I got my oil changed; some oil spot getting on my upholstery. I wasn't too mad, but it didn't really come out all the way. I let it go, things happen sometimes, but I did tell them. To make up for it, Lovell gave me my oil change for FREE!! That's right FREE! It was very generous. Time passes, my tires are done but they couldn't align it correctly. What happened was the bolt that allows your wheels to move side to side to align them wasn't the right bolt. I thought weird because the other side had it. So they ordered and replaced the bolt FOR FREE!! That's right. It was a $25 bolt they got me and did not charge me for it. Amazing alignment now, my car feels brand new! So they finish, its been a long day hanging with my Midas people, annddd I come out to my car and there is black residue all over my drivers seat, presumably off the technician. I was calm. Said ok happens. Went back in and calmly told Lovell, he was SO EMBARRASSED! He couldn't believe it. So what do they do? They could have turned me away saying sorry but we can't do anything or just be mean about it. NOPE!!! I bring it back the next morning and they had a 4 hour detailing service, cost THEM $100 to clean my entire car. Shampoo, armor all, THE WORKS!!! My car is SPARKLING! Now did I have to pay anything? NO!!! NO!!! Lovell even called again to apologize a second time! I was so shocked and surprised that there is no where else I would DREAM of taking my car. Lovell even checked my battery before I left to make sure it was good to go. Lovell is very proud of his customer service and is there to help you with anything you need and MAKES SURE that your car is perfect before it leaves the lot. Everyone there does a good job and makes sure you are taken care of. Even in my visiting time I experienced a woman that had to get A LOT of work done on her car. I went in to get two tires and the struts on my SUV replaced (information provided to be by a different place during a separate visit). I already knew this was going to be a large chunk of change but they had a great promotion going on so I couldn't pass it up. From the moment I went in, I felt very comfortable - considering I have no idea about cars and car issues. As I waited for my vehicle to be completed I watched as Jesus assisted other customers and was very impressed with how personable he and all the staff was. It wasn't a high pressure environment as other places are. I am used to going in for one thing and being told that I need other work done....in a more pushy/pressuring way. This is not the case here. Jesus and the team are very nice and do not make you feel like you are just a sale. I would definitely come here again and I recommend this place to others. read more
