I won't be returning to Midas for a few reasons. 1) At my last appointment, I mixed up two warning lights when explaining what I needed serviced, and the employee working the desk, Claire, responded immaturely to my mistake. 2) At the appointment before that, the employee working the desk, Ken, used beckoning fingers at me instead of saying my name, which I interpreted as disrespectful. He also charged my card to the wrong invoice. 3) During both of these appointments, my name tag for work that I keep in my car was moved. Where I keep my name tag isn't in the way of service, so it was unnecessary to touch my personal belongings. All this to say, my experiences with employees at Midas have been highly unprofessional, and getting an oil change here isn't worth it to me. read more

Was gonna charge me 2k for spark plugs and ignition coil that have already been newly replaced. Did not fully diagnose the car because turbo was cracked and was not even part of the estimate which i'm sure they would have charged me 4k total for the whole thing. I don't know if these people are scamming if they think you're incompetent but their quality of inspection is 2/10. Might be good for getting basic things done like wheel alignments and oil changes but when it comes to major issues with cars I wouldn't trust these people to know what they're doing. read more

Made a morning appointment to get brakes put on and was reassured that it would be done in plenty of time so I could leave town by 2 PM. Multiple people were working all around my vehicle while I sat and watched it sit as well. Never in my life would I have thought that a front brake pad replacement would take almost 5 hours and be over $300. Finally after 3 PM I left with my car. The man working the front was nice, but that definitely does not make up for us missing our event. Many other places could have done it for less and in a fraction of the time. I took my car in a few weeks ago for an oil change. A few weeks prior to that, I hit a curb pretty hard so, I asked them to check my alignment. Whenever I picked my car up, I asked the guy if they rotated my tires and he told me yes. They did not rotate my tires! I could tell by my nicked rim from the curb I hit, which was still in the exact same location. That me me wonder if they even did the alignment which they charged me for!? I was not provided any paperwork showing the alignment readings before and after. At this point, I don't feel like it's worth my time or effort to go back and throw a fit but I don't trust taking my car there anymore. I've been coming here for about 7 years now and never had a problem. The guys here are so nice, informative and I feel like they're pretty upfront. I usually just drop my car off early in the morning and then go get my nails done next door. By the time I come back, they are usually done. I know any time my car is getting worked on it's going to probably cost me a pretty penny, but Midas usually softens the blow. read more

Extremely happy with the service at this location. I've always been a Midas customer and this was my first experience at Midas here in OKC. the staff was so friendly, accommodating, and understanding of my needs I came in for a tire rotation, alignment and oil change. I made my appointment online and there was a flaw in the system that didn't communicate that an oil change was needed as well. I went to pick up my car and only the rotation and alignment had been done. I called right away and they apologized and told me to come back and they took care of me right away! They didn't charge me for the oil change as an apology for the missed service. Not many places are so kind and apologetic about such things. Ok, so we took our 2002 Toyota Camry to have the brakes fixed. We didn't have an appointment, and they were short-handed but took us. It was a Tuesday. They said it would be ready by 1ish in the afternoon. We received a phone call letting us know it was ready. So, went to pick it up and was informed that while they were driving it a noise was heard and they put it back up to find out what it was and found a part of the axle was broken during the brake job. They would fix it and give us a discount on the next service. Well, Steve, called several places to no avail was unable to locate a part and would have to go to a parts dealer and get a part but would not be able to until the next day. He offered a ride,uber or a rental car. I took the ride. He said the car would be repaired by 1ish on Wednesday. It was and he gave us a discount on the job due to the inconvenience. Now, Steve not only did a phenomenal job, but has enough integrity to back up his work! Don't hesitate USE THESE PEOPLE! I would suggest making an appointment, but these guys are honest and by all observations trustworthy. Highly recommended!!!!! read more

On June 12, 2017, William Caldwell picked up my car at my house and left his vehicle. Checked rear brakes the next day, as well as a complete inspection of the vehicle for any problems - none found so no bogus charges. William returned my car the next night. No BSing in this review. This IS the place to get your car repaired. Look, car maintenance isn't cheap but is a huge part of adulting. That being said, the people at Midas find THE perfect balance of quality and cost. But the most important trait they hold is HONESTY. They'll tell you what's wrong, walk you through it in a way you'll understand, and be up front with the total cost. They're fast on the repairs and hold reasonable timeframes. In short, you get quality repairs, professional and knowledgeable service and can be comfortable knowing you're only paying for repairs that are needed. June 9, 2020, I took my Jeep to Midas located at 5600 NW Expressway for an oil change and I also asked for a quote on the cost for replacing my struts and shocks. The heavyset man who represents Midas was completing my quote and also collecting the cash for the oil change when a man asks the Midas Rep if he could interrupt. The Midas rep immediately stopped processing my request and proceeded to wait on the man who was sitting in the lounge and check him out with me standing there. Check the camera and this will appear at 10:30 am. I am a longtime Midas customer and have never been treated this way. The unprofessionalism displayed by the heavyset Midas Rep was totally unacceptable and needs to be addressed by the Midas management. read more

Booked my 2010 Nissan Pathfinder at 100k in for what I thought was a complete brake job, both axels, (according to Nissan dealership) and Jayson and crew said no, all you need is front brakes done! Saving me $150+ bucks right off the bat! I also had coolant flush, transmission flush, oil change, brake fluid change, fuel injectors and fuel system cleaning, and a rattling exhaust tightened up, and they gave me a lifetime warranty for brake parts! All for $400! About one quarter what the dealership would charge, and the dealership's warranty on brakes is much much less, (no lifetime even on parts)!! As I sat waiting for the service to be completed, I listened as Jayson saved three other customers over $500 in repair costs! Jayson always breaks down needed repairs to what you need now, and what you need but not right away, and what you don't need at all! I watched him talk to female customers too and he was extremely patient ensuring they knew exactly what they needed and why! I'll continue driving all the way across town to come to this Midas, and very comfortably recommend them to my closest Freinds and family knowing they will be tested right! I must say the Midas In Okc, OK On NW Expressway Has the most incompetent Mgr and Shop Forman I have ever seen. They had my Truck in 4 different times for over a month total, and they could not fix it. They had convinced me to let them install a new motor in it. Then, they fired the only guy that new my truck. The Last time I was there they were on google trying to figure out why my truck was stalling. I gave them every possible chance to fix it. Finally I took it to another place 3 days later it was fixed and running better than ever. MIDAS MEANS IDOITS!!!!! DO NOT take your care to them except for a Muffler.. Well not even that, my exhaust is crooked Oh & MY Brakes Squeak too! I do not even think they could handle an Oil Change. Scott's stores have been taken down on facebook because of bad reviews. I have 5 vehicles and used them for years. They have gotten so bad I will never NEVER step foot in there again. They would not help on the bill for the repairs to my truck even though it was under there warranty and they could not fix it. The Engine was put in January 2018 and in the MIDAS 4 times do to over-heating stalling, and running to rich. Scott is a incapable of taking care of customers THEY DO NOT KEEP THEIR WORD!!! I am very apprehensive toward mechanic shops, having been burned in the past. I read all the good reviews for this Midas then took my car to have the brakes looked at. William Caldwell provided excellent customer service from the time I walked in, up until the moment I drove off. The brake technician inspected my brakes and William was able to give me a decent quote. During the brake installation, the technician discovered the left caliper was malfunctioning and needed to be replaced. William replaced the caliper and crushed brake hose with no additional charge because he had already quoted me a price after the initial inspection. To top it all off, when I went to pay for my service, the final cost was almost $90 less. William had applied whatever discounts he could along with my military discount. Last year, March to be exact our daughters car tire came completely off. We had the vehicle towed to Midas on NW Expressway. They replaced the CV Axel and lower ball joint on her 2006 accord to the tune of 519.00 (with an oil change) This past Thursday her car did the same thing on the same side in a McDonalds drive thru. We had the car towed to the nearest Midas according to the website, it turned out to be Out of Business on Broadway in Edmond. Friday morning we contacted the manager of the one on NW Expressway who assured us they would work with us. We paid for another tow to have the car taken back to the original midas. After two calls Friday, 3 calls on Saturday and again calling Monday we have learned that they now want over 400.00 to repair it again, The EXACT Same repair as a year ago. Even the manager said he agreed it should never have happened again but there was just nothing he could do. After doing some research I am learning that this is not a one off, these people can not be trusted to take care of the customer or to do quality work. read more

I was on a road trip coming from Illinois. I stop into midas cause my drivers side rear wheel was making a grinding noise. They told me a piece of metal was lodged in the rotor. He didn't charge me so I gave him 50 and said by they guys lunch. I hit the road but still heard the noice. I continued on to amarillo. The noise was still there so I went to a Firestone to have them check. I watched them drive it in,lift it on the rack. I saw him move the tire side to side. My wheel bearing was shot. They told me I was lucky that my tire didn't come of while I was driving. They were really nice at midas but me and my dod could have been killed. read more

Six months ago I reviewed my experience with this company and now I don't see it. I had the worst oil change experience ever. They charge me more than they quoted me, a lot more. They said my truck used a special oil. They should have known that it used a special oil, after all, it's what they do. But they charge me $30 more anyway. Oil filter leaked like a sieve so I had to return to get them to fix it. They topped off my oil after they fixed it with some junk oil. And check make sure your hood is latched before you pull away, mine wasn't latched properly. Again, oil change from hell! read more

Came into Midas to get a oil change they found out what was wrong with my car and why it was making the noise it was making. A girl was the one to do my oil change. She is very nice and explained everything very well. She was able to get my car to stop squeaking when nobody else could. Overall I loved the service that she provided.
