Not even one of those people to complain and make reviews but, "If i could put zero stars I would!!" This was the WORST SERVICE I have EVER had. First I made an appointment the day before to come in at 8am to fix a flash shield under my car. I come in and explain what I need done again and the man at the front desk is so prejudice he barely looks at me and tells me just to leave my keys. He did not listen or consult with me about the services I needed done. But I figured since I called the day before to make an app I should be okay. I call 5 hours later and they say its done keep in mind they didnt call or reach out to even let me know it was finished. I come and see they had done a completely different service then I needed. An oil change, I just got an oil change a week ago! Why couldn't there mechanics see that??? Then when he realizes he had messed up he was very disrespectful and started arguing going back and fourth with me. Bottom line is he cost me 400 dollars and wouldn't acknowledge his shop caused the damages to my tires during a tire rotation and safety inspection. I came in for a Safety inspection and a tire rotation. The owner was very nice and talkative. His team noticed a fog light out and was able to fix it. The owner did not charge me for the tire rotation and fog light repair and only the safety inspection and said it was a military discount. He mentioned I needed to get my oil changes done through them and that he doesn't make any money on them, he makes his money tires, shocks and bigger repair items. When I got in my vehicle I had 13psi in my tire. I went in to let him know that my tire is completely flat. He immediately said that his guys don't touch the air on tire when they rotate them and that it wasn't their fault. I asked him if he could have his guys look at my tire since it was flat and not drivable. He said no, that his guys were busy and then handed me an air pressure gage and said I could go down the road to the WAWA or Sheetz for air. His guys were not going to look at it. I was taken back by this and was angry. I drove my flat tire down the road to the wawa and filled my tire up. You could hear the air screaming out of the tire as soon as you aired it up. It was very clear that he "gave me a military discount" for tire rotations so he wouldn't have to show on a piece of paper that his show was at fault. On top of that, he didn't reset my tire sensors and said that I would have to pay to have that service done. WHICH IS WHAT I WENT IN THERE FOR! I had to change my tire in the parking lot in my only suit and ruined it. I also had to pay for two new rear tires because they put a hole in the sidewall of my old tire. I would highly recommend NOT going to this establishment. It is very clear that they don't care about anything except making a dollar. Brought car In this time for full service oil change, inspection and a couple of small additional items. I have utilized this Midas to service my car for a number of years and have NEVER had anything but wonderful service delivered right on time. During these years, I attribute the fact that my 2009 Honda Odyssey has experienced ZERO problems directly to Midas expert service. Today, they saved me a buck or two (!) when they told me that it was way too early for an oil change and suggested that I hold off -- which I did. Several years ago, they repaired a problem (can't remember specifics) that the Honda dealership told me baffled them. Mike (think that's the name of the front desk guy) is terrific. He always gives me a cheerful hello, always an accurate estimate, and always sees that the repairs get completed on time. And, btw, free water, coffee and snacks. I have been bringing my vehicles here for several years because Mike is super knowledgeable and honest, and I never feel pressure to be oversold (filters, wiper blades, etc.) As a female, I am always leery of repair/maintenance shops taking advantage of me and my lack of understanding when it comes to my car. I have never felt this way with Mike. He will give you the best recommendations even when it may mean that it cuts his profit margin. You don't find that kind of integrity much these days. Excellent service and great experience with Midas in Warrenton VA. Manager is super friendly and made me feel very comfortable. My car started screeching all of a sudden so I drove to Midas and they told me it would be around 3-4 hour wait so I told the manager that I would have to wait for it. They dropped everything and had it done in 2 hours. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The price for the service was very fair ( according to my husband) and we will definitely be back for any future needs!! read more

I recently moved to Alexandria from Warrenton. I needed a state inspection and I was failed for bad tie rods! I went to two local Alexandria mechanics and was quoted in the upwards of $800-$1,000 for repairs. I decided to go here after word of mouth and my family enjoying the service here. I dropped my car off and the service was realistic. I was not met with a plastic smile, but a real genuine concern for my vehicle and reassurance that I could get the repairs done at a good price. After having the car in the shop overnight and a few extra parts breaking here and there, I finally got the repairs done and at an amazing price. In all honesty the car drives as well as it did as it did when I drove it off the lot. Mike and the group are a great group of folks. You can't get better service anywhere in the area, and truth be told, their work is better than any dealership I've ever been to. They don't rake you over the coals, they don't upsell you, they get the work that needs to get done - done. I will only be using this shop for any future repairs and general maintenance. The auto repair business that people have grown to despise. They quote work that doesn't need to be done. The work they quote (that doesn't need to be done) is 3x the price of other auto repair places. You can't walk out of their office without them attempting to rip you off. Their reputation in the community has been awful when I asked around after feeling uncomfortable on two separate occasions. THIEVES! Had a gasket go out on a 90's suburban between the catalytic converter and the muffler. (not a big deal but you have to cut the bolts to replace it) Went in to get a estimate and the tech puts it on a lift and does a estimate saying they would have to REPLACE THE ENTIRE EXHAUST SYSTEM from the cat back..wanted over 700 dollars. I told them to take it off the lift and left. Bought the gasket at NAPA for 8 dollars and Joe's Service center did the work in 1 hour for 85 dollars. AVOID AT ALL COSTS read more

I called at 9:30am asking for a minor service, and boy was I glad I called Midas, especially after meeting Mike. This has easily been my best experience at ANY car shop, ever. I've never been somewhere that tries to actually build rapport with their client base and treat them as a friend and not just a customer. In regards to to other comments, Mike is not "arrogant" or "sarcastic"...he's real, not some programmed person to treat you with a smile regardless. He'll tell you how it is and what you need, he could've easily charged me for a full rebalancing of all 4 tires but just did what needed to be done. No cash grab, or dishonesty. This is the best service I have ever at any car service shop. These gentlemen know their stuff and tell you exactly what you really need and none of the extra stuff the dealerships or big chains will try to sell you. I hear over and over again from their regulars how these guys have kept their cards running for years. I have read the other reviews and there have clearly been communication errors and misunderstandings. What people don't understand is that there are other area shops that will "pass" cars or let things go on inspections that are either unethical or illegal. I'm sure it works for their popularity amongst the good old boys with thier home modified cars that are not actually street legal but in terms of the law or morality it is really kinda shitty. Because the average customer then accuses a legit auto shop of scamming them when they are trying to uphold the law. Additionally, these gentlemen are not arrogant, they are experts adn quite frankly hilarious. If I had to deal with every know-it-all that walked through the door pretending they knew everything there was to know about their car I would probably come across arrogant too after 6 hours and 10 plus years of the same jerks walking into my business every day. These are legit people that protect people like myself and their loyal following from people trying to get away with bypassing their exhaust, driving on bare tires, or the people that don't know how to read when their engine is over heating and melting their engine. Honest mechanics and management. I've brought my vehicle here for years and always had fast, friendly reliable service. I've also brought my family members cars here after another shop tried to rip them off with bogus repairs needed, sure enough the Midas mechanics confirmed my suspicions and my Mom didn't need 800 worth of work. I've also taken multiple vehicles here for a quick diagnostic check prior to letting the young adults in my family purchase a used car and have always gotten honest feedback from the mechanics. They definitely saved us a few times from making the wrong purchase. It's hard to find a mechanic you trust. I highly recommend Midas in Warrenton, VA. They have my business for life! read more

All 4 of my wheels were damaged in the same way while getting tires mounted at Midas in Warrenton, VA. There are now scratches on the outer surface of each wheel. Mike, the owner, said that there was no way that they could have done the damage and offered to have it corrected by a third party at a cost of $360 to me. As Haley R. experienced, Mike was "very arrogant and rude" - to the point that he was arguing with another customer on the phone while I waited to pick up my now damaged vehicle. I won't be going back for my own reasons but also because Mike told me that he would not service my vehicles in the future. If it were possible, I would give a minus five stars. I went in and was told that I needed a new muffler and motor mount was loose. When mechanic could see that I was balking at paying for all these repairs for a 1994 car, I was then told that motor mounts were fine However, my brakes would barely pass inspection but would have to be replaced in three months. This was for new pads and rotors to the tune of $450.95. so around $1,000. I left and went to an inspection station half a block away and car passed inspection without any problem. Stay as far away as possible from this dishonest place. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well as State Police in charge of State Inspection stations. Patronize Warrenton Midas at your own risk. My wife took her car there for an inspection. While there, she mentioned that the tire pressure light had been going off and there must be a leak. They looked at the tire and found nothing. She continued having pressure loss so she took it back shortly thereafter for them to check again. They put it on a lift and told her the problem was the rim and she needed a new one. I didn't have time to deal with it and trusted their advice, so bought a replacement rim for $225. They put the tire on the new rim and mounted it and charged her $45. (I inspected the old rim when we got it back and did not see any defects.) Then the low pressure light went off again a couple of days later. Obviously, the problem was not the rim. I poured some soapy water on the tire. I saw bubbles and quickly located a small nail where the bubbles originated. I pulled the nail and plugged the tire myself. All has been well since then. Then my wife asked for them to replace on the new rim the decorative hardware that I removed from the old rim since I couldn't do that without removing the new tire. I told her that at a minimum they should do that at no charge since the rim didn't need to be replaced in the first place. Nope, they charged her $50 for that. So she spent $320 with Warrenton Midas in an unsuccessful effort to fix a simple nail hole in a tire that I diagnosed and fixed myself for pennies. In light of that, I can't imagine how badly they would mess up complicated problems. By the way, do not trust the reviews on the Midas website. They will not post negative reviews. read more

My wife and I have been customers here for about 8 years... 2/10/2018 marks the last day we will do business with them. This is something that's been building for about a year or so now. The days of the employees we trusted and had looked forward to dealing with seem gone and we're left with one condescending, rude, and generally ignorant to every aspect of customer service... employee. Although not of the utmost importance he seems to have a very poor memory, constantly contradicting things he told us during previous visits. It seems as if whatever mood he's in then that's the response you'll get with no regard to how this might impact the business or how his professionalism might be perceived. He's enough reason for us to not return but sadly their nickel and dime tactic of ALWAYS squeezing out more money are played out! Its just another nail in the coffin of our loyalty to Midas of Warrenton. I wanted to leave an overall review and didn't want to get into every detail of Midas's lackluster professionalism. I went to Midas for an oil change and inspection. I am not sure if they put synthetic oil in my car as I asked . They did not rotate the tires because they said I needed new ones on top of other things to pass inspection. 1700$ worth of repairs. I took my rejected car to Warrenton foreign car where I have repairs done and they te inspected it. The cost was 388$ not 1700$. This is quite a difference. I did not like the way I was talked to as they explained why I needed so much work done. I felt it to insult my intelligence and to be a hard sale using fear. My safety. I have always trusted Scott at Warrenton foreign car however. I will make sure that I never go to Midas again for an inspection and or oil change. Watch out and get a second opinion befor you spend all the money they say you need to. read more

Again, they come to my rescue!! I had damaged a tire that I had just purchased prior to my trip up north for the holidays. Because my schedule is rather hectic at best, I have to schedule carefully and have had to cancel at the last moment on occasion. The guys got my tire the day before my appointment, took care of me, and sent me on my way all with 45 minutes. I had purchased the Road-hazard warranty, so that was an added financial plus. I have just read the two previous reviews, that were rather unflattering, at best. Sorry guys, I have never seen that in the 5 vehicles and 7-9 years of being a Midas customer. I understand, sometimes, there is financial costs to the services attached, but, jeez, their small hometown business isn't a non-profit!! Speaking of, as you walk in, if you donate a bag of groceries to the Warrenton Food Bank, you get a discount? Simply generous and so unheard of. I took my car to Midas in Warrenton for a safety inspection. They failed it and told me that I needed almost $500 worth of repairs. I took it to my mechanic in Sterling to get a second opinion and he told me that my car was fine and did not currently need any repairs. I was obviously happy to hear this but also shocked and angry that someone, a supposed "professional," would blatantly lie about something this major. I will never give any business to the Warrenton Midas and would strongly warn others about taking their cars there. They obviously cannot be trusted. read more
