I have a 1997 Westfield, which is a very rare car (a Lotus 7 clone) here in N. Va. It had an oil leak that I was not able to take care of. I drove it in unannounced to Greg Miller (the owner of LoCo Exotics). He promptly drove it onto a ramp and quickly identified the issue, fixed it and then handed me a very reasonable bill for his efforts. They're an experienced shop but when I contacted them to just have a por of down pipes installed I was charged twice the amount of money of the actually part that I wanted to get. For an "experienced" shop to quote me for 9 hours of work when clearly even an inexperienced person on YouTube could do it for half of the time is a little ridiculous. Sure they've gotten some fame from a big YouTuber that is in the DMV area but it does not give them the right to go ahead and up their prices to new customers like this. After this quote, I also wanted to do my crank hub upgrade but sadly has basically scared me off into doing any business with them. I would highly recommend looking for another shop if you don't want to be ripped a new one and have your pockets emptied. I heard F3 Auto in Chantilly prices very fairly, they did my down pipes at a fraction of the cost. I had a possible engine heating issue and feared the worst thinking my water pump has some issues and may need to be replaced after doing some internet research. Greg was kind enough to give a loaner to my wife as it was late in the evening and told us that he will check the issue next day. Next Morning when i spoke to Greg he told us that issue is only related to the coolant being low and after topping off the coolant and performing some additional tests car was running fine without any issues. On a recommendation from a Facebook group I'm in, I had Loudoun County Exotics install a clutch in my 2007 Porsche Boxster. From the very beginning they were upfront and honest. Gave me an accurate quote, and explained what was involved. I called back and set an appointment. Dropped the car off the night before, and they got to it really early the next day. Casey called and recommended I replace the rear main seal, which I was going to ask them to do anyway. I said yes, he told me how much extra it would be before he proceeded. He told me my car would be ready midday the next day. The next morning I asked if they could change the oil while they had it. He did with no issues, and the car was ready to go midday the exactly as he'd promised. I'm very happy with pricing, service, and every aspect of my experience with Loudoun County Exotics. I was referred to Greg at LoCo exotics by another shop in the area when I needed to get my used car inspected prior to buying it from a dealership. I called and was able to get an appointment the next day! Although I wasn't buying a Ferrari :), but rather a simple VW, I was fine since these guys work on all makes and models. My appointment experience was unparalleled - Greg, one of the owners, let me come into the shop (which, if you like cars, looks like a treasure chest, with all the luxury automobiles inside!!) and follow him as he was looking over the car. He did a very thorough job, and pointed out a few things that I could bring up to the dealer to negotiate the price. Overall, the car checked out and after the LoCo exotics' inspection I felt very comfortable in making the purchase. On top of everything, the cost of the inspection was very reasonable, on par with other places in the area. 2 months later and I've had zero issues with my VW. Please don't let the name "Exotic" in there title scare you off. They are more than capable of working on all makes and models. I have taken my 2011 base model BMW 3 series there for both regular maintenance and other repairs. They are a FULL SERVICE facility and do excellent work, and.... at very competitive prices (Way less than dealership service prices for sure).
