Took truck in as battery was dead and had to jump off. I left it there and come to find out a wire under the dash near the steering column had come loose. It would continue to draw power even when truck was off. Great investigative work! read more

It was so bad, I was forced to write a review. Guys misled me by 2 hours. Told me wait time was 30 mins, wrapped back with them 30 mins past and said they'll attend me soon. Do your research! Mark quoted me a price for an AC part that he said was over $350 dollars and with labor it would come to over $675. ! He said it was the lowest he could find. I searched around and the DEALERSHIP had the same part for just under $211! The dealership with labor was only going to $450. But that's not the worst part. Turns out I did not even need that part replaced. I would find it hard to believe he even looked at my ac system. I think instead of looking at it Mark just told me I needed that part based on the symptoms I described I am so glad I asked questions and did my research and did not take Mark at what he was telling me at face value. read more

I've been to many places to get cars worked on and family has gotten their cars worked on. Since my first visit I've seen his work with customers do the best he can and even mention routinely, " he price matches, as well as he will give t you the option of bringing in the part, but it wont be warrantied". Not many give you basically three options to provide choices to choose from in some cases. To me that is incredible. I've heard them on the phone with local auto part stores so I know they do try to look around, but there is no way you can have an account at every parts store in Fort Worth. I've not once been lied to, been told what is or may be wrong with my car, because I'm pretty car savvy and can give an educated guess what is wrong. The service here is great and these mechanics actually seem to care to get it done right the first time. I've not been back for the same problem. I'm very willing to tell friends and drive to this location when it is out of the way for me and the other side of town. read more

It's not when things go right that you can tell a quality shop, it's when things go wrong and how they handle it. Things went somewhat wrong for me, getting a catalytic converter put in. The install took an hour or two--that's good--and it worked fine at first, but later the check engine sensor came on again. In a rush to get my car to pass inspection before the tags went bad, I panicked and had the dealer re-do the work for major $$$. (Twice what Midas charged me.) The dealer maintained that the wrong model converter was put in. Note: this may or may not have been so. I drive a Kia and their factory stuff can be wildly expensive. It's likely their check engine sensors need a little encouragement to play nicely with the much-cheaper, but still good, after market parts, which Midas could have adjusted. I had the dealer save the old muffler, expecting to have to wage a legal battle to get some of my money back on the Midas install, and went to see the owner, Mark. Wow. I wish I'd waited and brought the car back for him to re-work things instead of going to the dealer. Would've saved me a lot of time and a LOT of $$. Mark knows his stuff, was sorry for my difficulties, and gave me a full refund, no questions asked. Now that's integrity. Cars and car parts are getting more complex every day, not less complex, and that's a challenge for the best mechanics. Usually everything goes well, but on the off chance that there's a problem, it's good to know this shop stands by the quality of their work. Trust Midas Watuaga. They'll treat you with integrity. Been to this location twice. First was pretty late, needed an oil change badly. They gladly took it in and finished quickly. Today my sister took in her car to have the brakes checked, we thought for sure her brake pads were in need of replacement by her description of the issues. Turns out it was perfectly fine, didn't charge us anything. I always seem to get hassled to replace things I don't need or to add on services I didn't ask for, but here they seem genuine in helping you get in and out with what you need. I have visited Midas in Watauga a few times. I have received excellent customer service each time. Sam, Sebastian, Willy and their team are very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. They are always so nice. I was offered a nice cold water bottle while I waited for my car to get work done. My A/C was not working in my minivan. The Midas team fixed my A/C and it is working amazing! Thanks to them my kids and I are very comfortable during these really hot days in Texas. I have taken my minivan in for oil changes. Sam took the time to educate me on which oil would best preserve my high mileage vehicle. I'm very happy I found a great place to take my vehicles. I recently relocated to Texas from Florida for work and needed to find a Auto Repair shop for my brakes. I took my car to a couple of Big Brand shops and they wanted to charge me for additional services that I know I really did not need (fairly new car, that gets routinely PMs). I needed to find a place to get brakes and I stumbled across this Midas where the service there is a service that I have never received from any Auto Shop. Sam (the owner) is very polite not only with me but to every customer. He will let you know what's wrong and will show you the problem, and explain. As a woman I did not feel I was being sold on issues that were not issues. A few days later he reached out to me to make sure everything was ok. Not enough space to share all of the great service I received that day. Just know Sam has a new customer as long as I own a car. I will suggest to everyone to go to his shop for service. He's return customers (one that travels from Decatur) had great things to say about this shop as well. Just one other note, Sam's staff is just as attentive to the customers as he is.
