I've had great luck with the housewares- most recently getting an air fryer and a rice cooker and a set of sheets, still in the new packaging. Their prices are very fair, and I feel like they really want to move inventory, which is how it should be. The staff is always friendly and the music they play is excellent. I love spending an hour or so browsing here.

This store had a similar vibe, but I feel that the pricing missed the mark. The clothes were arranged by type and then by color. Everything that I picked up seemed to be a little bit more than I would normally pay at a thrift store. And I love looking at the book section, but they wanted two dollars for paperback books. Not even trade paper backs, just regular small paper backs. I would give it another try since the vibe was good, but I was pretty unimpressed this time around.

This consignment store is a hidden gem packed with unique furniture finds and home decor treasures. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The layout is well-organized, making it easy to browse through the diverse selection of items. Whether you're looking for a statement piece or just something to refresh your space, you're bound to find something you love. What truly stood out to me was the exceptional service provided by the gentleman working there. His knowledge about the pieces in the store was impressive, and he went above and beyond to help me find exactly what I was looking for. He took the time to answer all my questions and offered great suggestions based on my style preferences. It's clear he is passionate about helping customers make their homes special. I left Always Home feeling thrilled with my purchase and grateful for the wonderful service. If you're in the market for quality furniture You won't be disappointed!

I have always loved this antique store and have considered it one of chapel hills gems. But today I…read morewalked into the store and was met by an older woman with a short blonde bob of sorts and a white sweater at the front desk- she immediately looked me up and down with a look of disdain, asking if I needed help with anything- making it evident she did not think I belonged there. She proceeded to follow me around the store for the entire duration of my visit, swooping in and telling me to "not touch" anytime I attempted to look at something. Mind you- she did not treat any of the other patrons in this fashion. She made the environment so hostile that I ended up just leaving and not buying anything. I can't say I'll be back- the treatment by this woman genuinely made me so uncomfortable.

This place is surprising. Don't let the ugly, low quality sign out front confuse you. My wife and I…read morestumbled in here after picking up some coffee at Cafe Driade(it is right next store, kind of hidden in the bushes). This is not the type of place you carry coffee around in. The building itself is like a bizzaro museum. It is breathtaking. Seriously, this place is so freaking cool. There are three stories of eclectic architecture cobbled together from a couple of OLD buildings in Durham. It feels like you're in an old money crazy person's Victorian era fantasy world somewhere in Europe. There is a conservatory in the center of it all, with a tropical palm that towers the full three stories above a perfect little pond. I'm CERTAIN there are hidden passageways and secret doors in this place that undoubtedly lead to mysterious chambers where all manner of twisted and delightful treasures were once stored and insane rituals took place. This is the closest I've come to my dream house in real life. The antiques themselves are very high-end 200 year old Victorian stuff. There are $20,000 sideboards mixed in with $2,000 lamps. A lot of the stuff has obviously had damage restored, which seems reasonable considering the age, and the fact it is a hidden antique shop in Chapel Hill. Check this place out. You will not be dissappointed.
