And also too expensive, especially on stupid late fees that make no sense to continuously keep adding to the bill. Actually expecting you to pay it off completely, before you can recover anything. They don't tell you when your very personal things are up for auction til the last minute, actually expecting you to magically pull money out of your butt to save it before it gets sold. They all always seem to have nasty attitudes when discussing extensions for the unit, when you're low on cash. It's clearly been hard to maintain work with the virus going on, you would think they would at least lower the price. Make it just half off til the economy and things get better. So as for you won't potentially lose diplomas, multiple work uniforms, family heirlooms, pictures and even identity thieving information. I'm honestly completely devastated, to the point of extreme depression. As if times aren't hard or bad enough as it is, especially after losing family members. This was by far the worst thing that could happen. Literally 20 years and plus of unrecoverable or irreplaceable items lost. I will forever lastingly be affected by this for as long as I live, it is truly like losing all family members in 2020 and reopening the wounds from members prior to this. I officially have no more memorabilia of said past family members. I just wish that there was a way to possibly retrieve the all personal items, from the auction buyers. So you aren't at a complete lost. I seriously may need therapy for this,  being since it has made my anxiety and depression even worse than before, even after the virus started. There really should be a law that you can at least get that kind personal things back, especially since the buyers will technically have or get no value for it. Very displeased with this. I've now learned that I need to find out ahead of time if I'm going to get progressively raped by a storage company. Find out ahead of time how much a storage facility is going to raise your rent before you rent.

The hallways and the unit itself were very clean, and the locker ended up being larger than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. The only thing I noticed was that the area where my unit is located felt a bit warm, like maybe the A/C was down. Since I did opt for climate control, that gives me a little pause -- but I'm hoping it was just an off day and not the norm. All in all, solid first impression and glad to have the extra space at a good price and location!

But if you have one of those items that have been deemed necessary for recycling, this place will take care of it properly for you for only $20 per item. I recently tried taking my old, defective large screen to a Best Buy, but was told it was too large for them. No explanation other than that. So, after trying to contact several other waste management/recyclers in the metro area and not getting any return phone calls, I found this place on Indy's east side that opened at 9 a.m. on Monday. I called ahead to make sure they were open and that the large screen wasn't too large. They said to come on over. When I got there, I went inside and paid my $20 fee and went to the dock they said to use. We pulled our vehicle up to the dock and one of their workers hopped down and unloaded the large television by himself and carried it to the dock for us. No sweat or effort needed by me. They even disposed of an old dvd player for free! Note that this place isn't the easiest to spot. If you are familiar with the east side, there is a large lake for a business that was called "Just Add Water" that used to have a lighthouse and let you try out different small boats before purchase. It is easily visible from I-465 just south of Washington Street. Franklin is the first street east of 465 on Washington. Just drive south 3 blocks on Franklin and when you see the lake on your west side of the road, look over to the east side. The sign out by the street says "Tradition Warehouse & Logistics". Pull into the parking lot on the south side of the building and head east. You will see some loading docks and a sign that is with a "TR" and Technology Recyclers. That is the office where you climb a few stairs and tell them what you want to have recycled. Once you pay, they tell you which dock to go to and send one of their gentlemen to unload your equipment. We just had the television, so we paid $20. Any additional tv's, laptops, or monitors would also be charged the same disposal rate. I am not sure if they have any restrictions on electronics or not and how much lead time you need to give when ordering pickup, but if those run as smoothly as the drop off, they might earn that 5th star! I had an outside unit for the door is hard to open and it doesn't open all the way because it's a rolled door. When you load and unload you have to duck. Never had any rodent problems but the inconvenience of the door and them not answering emails or calls was frustrating. They emailed us about the rent going up without any warning. Also that there would no longer be a light outside each door. Good luck with seeing someone's the desk. I can count on one hand how many times someone had been in the office. You also have to buy your own lock and they charge for a monthly "protection" plan. You also have to give 3 month notice to vacate. I sent a letter and called, no response.
