In my forty years of life I have NEVER dealt with a company as negligent and unprofessional as Midland Plumbing. I hired them in early January to repair an old clay sewage pipe that was partially obstructed and causing backup in our home. They had to dig a large crater 4-feet beneath our driveway and ultimately drill a hole through our foundation wall to get access to it, which was understandable and I knew that when I contracted them to do the job. The problem was that... A.) they, as it turned out, did not completely seal the hole they put in the foundation wall B.) they did not back-fill the giant crater but rather just left it completely exposed and vulnerable to the elements. So on February 20th, after we had a heavy unrelenting rain storm, water literally was pouring through the unsealed hole and into my basement. When I called Midland and asked the receptionist if she could please leave a message with the owner George to call me back immediately, her response was "I'll see what I can do." I was dumbfounded. In the nearly three months since, despite dozens of phone calls, emails, and actual letters, I have still yet to hear from the owner. I even sent them an actual VIDEO I took of the water gushing in through the hole they put in my foundation. I have dozens of pictures and two videos I took that clearly illustrate that their sloppy work was to blame for the water damage to my home, but Still no response! Midland did send the same crew that did the sewage pipe repairs back to my home two days later to re-seal the hole. Which in of in itself, shows that they knew they were at fault. But while these gentlemen (the same two that didn't seal the hole properly) were here to fix their faulty work, they took multiple pictures of my laundry room and basement in order to concoct a bogus report in which they denied any responsibility for the damages they caused to my home (in total, around $2,000 worth of flooring and drywall and trim repair). Their report was loaded with false claims, misinformation, and lies as they tried to blame the water damages I experienced on crawl space seepage. I responded to their sham of a report with an actual accurate and truthful version with incontrovertible evidence to prove they were at fault. I sent it to them via UPS and had a signature required so that they couldn't claim to have not received it, but again they have continued to ignore me. To top it all off, when I repaired my driveway and filled the giant crater they had dug, I found three pairs of plastic gloves, an empty can of sealant, a spackling knife, and large sections of the old clay pipe that they removed and didn't even bother to properly discard. Oh, and when they came out to cover up their mistake, they had to borrow one of my shovels, and left with it! Do not make the same mistake I did by hiring this company as you will most assuredly regret it. I honestly can't believe anyone could run a business as dishonest and as unprofessional as thi

I discovered a gas leak by our stove, Chris came out very quickly and put in a new valve so I could replace the gas line to the stove.

They arrived early (texted ahead of time) and within 2 hours on a Saturday, my house was back up and running with hot water! I appreciate their quick response and availability!

The plumber arrived late for appointment. He did not seem very knowledgeable. He kept muttering to…read morehimself and also kept repeating everything he said to me. I had a leaky shower faucet. He looked at the leak and went to Association office of my condo building to request a water shut off to change a cartridge. He was told the shut off would have to be scheduled. He came back to remove cover to see if I had a shut off by the cartridge. I did not. Even though I did not have a shut off he decided to remove the cartridge anyway, but was unable to turn it. Then he said if he was able to remove the cartridge everything would get quite wet because the water wasn't able to be shut off. Then he said he didn't want to get wet and would not try to remove the cartridge. He told me that he would have to return in 3-5 days when the water shut off to my tier could be scheduled. Since he could not remove the cartridge he decided that it was on too tight. He told me I would have to soak rags in vinegar and wrap them around the cartridge and keep rags wet until he returned. He told me if I didn't do this that he might have to go into the wall in the hallway to get to the cartridge. I told them that he would have to get permission from the Association to do something so drastic. The Association told him no. Then before he left he told me to keep the bathroom door closed and leave the ceiling fan on until he returned in 3-5 days. He closed the door. I told him that I had the fan on but wasn't sure it was even working. He did not check the fan and closed the door. When he left, he left muddy boot prints from my bathroom all the way to my front door. When I responded to the ad on Yelp the price to come out was quoted as $69.99 to come out. When he replied to my email he changed the price and said it would be $39.99, but before he left he changed the price again to $69.99. I am a disabled senior citizen dealing with a stranger in my unit and was afraid to question him. I notified his company about the mess he made and they said they had no one to clean it up except him. I told them I did not want him coming back at all because I didn't trust him. I also talked to Association office and we decided he was not competent and that he should not return. I hired a different plumber to come and look at the faucet. They came and found the bathroom door closed and asked me why it was closed. I told them that Preferred Plumbing closed the door. When the door was opened my entire bathroom was dripping water - from the ceiling, down the walls, dripping from the light fixtures and my medicine cabinet. All of the knobs on both my medicine cabinet and my vanity were corroded from the dripping water. The paint was pealing off some of the walls and bubbling up on others. The stain on my medicine cabinet was also peeling off. The floor was so wet I had to put towels down so this plumber could have access to the leaky faucet. Even though I had told Grant that I didn't believe the fan was working, he never checked it before he closed the door. The light fixture was blinking off and on. The new plumber told me that the water probably got into the walls and may have shorted out the wires. Even the floor tiles were coming up. The bathroom door was so distorted from the excessive water it had absorbed it had to be forced to open it all the way. I have been back and forth with Preferred Plumbing explaining the discrepancy in the pricing and the amount of damages Grant caused by closing the door, but they decided that Grant was not at fault. They also refused to adjust the pricing even though I sent them a copy of the email that Grant sent to me quoting the price as $39.99. When the new plumber came he had no problems removing the cartridge even though I had been unable to apply the vinegar soaked rags that Grant insisted were necessary. I would not recomend Grant or Preferred Plumbing to anyone. They changed the pricing and caused a lot of damage to my bathroom. They accepted no responsibility for the price changes Grant made and refused to take responsibility for any of the damages that Grant caused by closing the bathroom door without checking to see if the fan was working even though I told Grant that I did not believe it was working.

Where to start... we had been having major issues with our main drain backing up into our laundry…read moreroom. After many attempts to avoid any major repairs, we had given in. We had received a quote from another company that was extremely high, so, we decided to get a second quote from EGV Sewer. The staff is very nice, they had Armando come out the same day and provide a quote. When I tell it was significantly less, it was!!! EGV Sewer was even doing more work i.e. replacing the concrete sidewalk. Anyway, we had an issue last weekend as we were waiting for the work to be done. EGV Sewer again came out and quickly fixed our issue to give us piece of mind until the work was done. They came out on 7/8/26 and did the repair, we did have an surprise where we needed more work done; however, it was still overall 2k less than the other company. Overall, I cannot say enough good things about this company. Great pricing, customer service, and quality work. Thank you Armando and team for fixing our issue. Also, shout out to Katie in the office, so pleasant, and always getting back to me promptly! I am certainly glad this is over but if we ever have any other plumbing issues, EGV Sewer will be my first call.

It did involve excavation in my front yard, but the crew did an exceptional job and finished in about half a day.
