Both have its discernable flavor in a good way. I highly recommend both flavors, which I suspect are rotating flavors. Service was friendly. Pretty good spot for a gelato - there aren't very many around here so this place gets a lot of business. They have a good mix of flavors from chocolate to pistachio to berry flavors. Absolutely my favorite!!! One of the best after dinner treats in the area and so happy to see their open later again! I've been going here my whole life and the quality stands with it being some of my favorite gelato! I think I truly love this place for it being one of my favorite childhood spots but the kind workers and delicious gelato have always attracted my attention. This place gets busy during the summer but they move through quickly, for this visit it wasn't too busy so we were able to fully experience and sample flavors. The gelato here is decently authentic and delicious being perfectly creamy and not too sweet, the perfect balance. My personal favorite being the forest berry but any flavor you get here will not disappoint. Also wanted to mention the workers being so kind and understanding! This Ice Cream shop has probably the most friendliest people working at the shop. The staff here is really friendly and energetic. They kind of set the vibe and it's pretty positive feeling when you come in. So here they have your normal Gelato selection of ice cream, two sherbet choices for you lactose intolerant people, and they have this special coffee over ice cream called Cafe Affogato. It's for when you ice cream and coffee at the same time. The ice cream itself is good, but not great. The raspberry or berry sherbet is really tart and the mango flavored one is a bit bland? The mango isn't a strong taste in it so it just feels like you're eating sweet sherbet. The portion size is huge for the normal gelato but the Cafe Affogato is quite small. The kid size scoop is pretty large, I got the small which allowed me to get two flavors, and they pretty much stacked it on top of each other. They do have a seating place ego enjoy your ice cream so you don't have to go out and eat it else where. The seating area is quite decent for an ice cream shop, there's a second part of the ice cream shop. They don't have many flavors of ice cream so don't expect like 31 Flavors all laid out. Some Yelpers that come here often say they rotate flavors once in a while, so if you want to try something different, it'll be the luck of the day when you come in I guess. Pricing is pretty fair compared to other ice cream shops in the area, I mean it's Kirkland after all, but the portion size matches well with it. read more

I ordered a small size of the pistachio and kit kat flavor and tasted the Pandan and rose petal. I was impressed by the variety of flavors - they had the classics like stracciatella, pistachio, hazelnut etc. but also less common flavors like rose petal, kit kat, and Pandan. I was less impressed by the quality of the gelato itself. Very thin and icy, with crunchy bits of ice in some bites, and not much flavor in the gelato. The rose petal and Pandan flavors were pretty strong, but tasted synthetic. I expect great gelato to be creamy and rich, and this unfortunately did not check the boxes. They have cute gelato pops and cookie gelato sandwiches, but I don't think I would return given the quality and taste of the gelato. I was in the mood for some Gelato while in Kirkland, WA and Sirena Gelato came up in the search so I decided to check it out. Here are my ratings based on different criteria: Quality of gelato: Great. I base my rating of gelato with how good (or bad) the pistachio flavor is. A good rule of thumb that I learned in Italy was that if the pistachio flavor gelato looks too green then it's fake. I was happy to notice that at Sirena, the pistachio gelato was only mildly green. I was really sold, however, after taking the first bite. The gelato had tons of chunks of real pistachios! This was a welcome change from other places and I really enjoyed the texture combined with smoothness. Decor: meh. There wasn't anything cool or worth remembering as far as the decor goes. Cleanliness: good. Although there was no inside seating, the outside chairs and tables were clean. Service: good. There were no tastings being given due to COVID but the staff was friendly. I wouldn't completely rely on their recommendations though. On my second trip there, I was told that dark chocolate and pistachio would go great together but all I tasted was the overpowering taste of chocolate. Price: more on the pricy side. A two scoop "small" gelato was around $5.50 which I think is a bit higher than expected. The staff also watches like a hawk how much tip you leave which didn't rub me the right way. Maybe I didn't leave enough as I didn't even get a thanks from them after paying but that could be just one particular girl that was behind the counter.
