Small local shop with friendly service and a variety of donuts. The donuts are fluffy and have a homey feel - simple but effective. I visited around 11 on a weekend and they were already out of a few options so I suggest visiting early!

My favorite donut place on the east side, very delish and not overwhelmingly sweet. I usually get their bacon maple bar!

YUMMM! YAASSS for local donut shops! These were brought into my office. Some of the freshest, most fluffy donuts I've ever had! I tried the maple bacon bar and the cinnamon apple filled bear claw. They had super soft dough and amazing toppings/fillings. Love the variety of donuts they have too!

Donuts were fresh and very fluffy. Maple old fashion was great but what stood out was the 3 different fritters (cherry, apple, blueberry). Delicious crispy outside with soft and decadent insides. Not overly sweet like some competitors. My ultimate favorite at Sunrise Donuts is their bear claw. If you love apple pit filling and bear claw, this is a must try. The bear claw has apple pie filling. OMG. I highly recommend going earlier as they sometimes run out of donuts and close by 10am. Love that they serve my favorite Caffe D'arte. Blows away Starbu&k$

This place has become a favorite! It's a local donut shop open early but will sometimes run out of donuts since it's so popular! Service is usually quick, and we get fresh donuts or kolaches. My favorite is the maple glazed or the glazed sour cream/old fashioned. Usually order is a spicy kolache and a donut. Will always go back for more! Happy eating!

I heard a lot of good things about this donut shop and didn't even realize it was so close to the microsoft campus!!! We stopped by right before they closed and got some of the following: Cherry fritter - not the best but the flavor was pretty good. Old fashioned - pretty standard, nothing spectacular Tiger tail - very light and fluffy, it's like a cinnamon roll but lighter and no frosting Maple buttermilk bar - super good! Has a subtle crunch but also very light inside and flavor was good Crueller puffs - ok these are like crack, they are super fluffy and light, super yummy and you can easily eat a dozen of these. --- we originally got 3, the cashier gave us 2 extra, and after tasting, my husband got a dozen... Overall, I would come back for the crueler puffs for sure! As well as the buttermilk bar! Want to try some of their bars and yeast donuts next time as well

    Absolutely amazing maple bacon donut!

This small business is absolutely amazing with fresh donuts that are made daily! I've tried several of their donuts and my favorite might just be the maple bacon bar! I've had their kolaches a couple of times as well and definitely recommend for a quick, hot breakfast. Service is absolutely fantastic and everyone is friendly :)

Y'all, I love this donut shop. Clearly Redmond loves it too, because the line is usually out the door. They keep it moving, though! No seating, so plan to take your goodies to-go. With all of the fun choices available, which donut should you start with? FOR SWEET TOOTHS: Bacon maple bar, which uses real bacon for the crumble topping. FOR CALMER PALATES: Classic old-fashioned (w/o glaze) or crueller and a latte is a CHOICE combination.

The donut shop has one job to have donuts ready. I went in there and they had no chocolate donuts available at all.

What oil do they fry their donuts in?

Vegetable oil, this gives it the funky smell and lingering aftertaste. It’s not always easy to tell if the oil is kept clean and with all the sugar, but if you eat it slowly you will usually notice. Traditional high quality doughnuts use lard or…

If you haven't been yet, the entire bakery setup is amazing, but their cakes are the absolute crown jewel. Here is what makes this place stand out: Perfectly Balanced Cakes: As you can see from the beautiful mango cake ,their desserts are a work of art. The best part? They use high-quality ingredients and have significantly less sugar than typical American bakeries. It's light, airy, and not overwhelmingly sweet. Excellent Savory Selection: Beyond the sweets, their savory pastries and baked goods are top-tier and always fresh. Great Service & Cozy Atmosphere: The service here is exceptionally welcoming and efficient. While it's a popular spot, they do have a few seats inside if you want to sit down and enjoy your treat on the spot. Whether you're picking up a signature cake box for a birthday or just grabbing a morning pastry, this place completely delivers on quality. Highly recommended!

LOVED the spinach, yuzu, and milk bread here. Would definitely come back for those!! 4/5 for the mango cake. It was a hit with a crowd of 6 and various ages. The fresh mango on top and inside the cake were tasty. My only negative rating is for the cream, it was way too heavy and I didn't like the texture of it. Although this may be personal preference. Aesthetically pleasing! I like the ability to pre-order and pick up too. Would come back again and try more items. Thank you!

The bobrista told us that a shipment had just come in an hour or two before we arrived on Friday, so we were pretty excited to get the freshest baked goods possible! Dipped Black Sesame Kouign-Amann ($6.50) - Woah, super nutty sesame fragrance hits the nose and tongue upon biting into the hard sweet black sesame glaze on top (well, technically the bottom). It's a flavor bomb, likely boosted by the addition of sesame oil given how strong the flavor is. It's sweet but not exceedingly so, and instead of making the pastry soft, it somehow enhances the crunch factor. The kouign-amann base has good flakiness with laminated layers that can be separated out. The top has a sweet caramelized sugar glaze melted on, but it doesn't penetrate into the interior much, resulting in the inside not being particularly sweet. Instead, it's buttery in flavor, like they use croissant dough to make the pastry. (5/5) I was super impressed with the kouign-amann. I have to track down the Origin Bakery farmers market stand so I can try their famous crochi... But they haven't had an update on instagram for almost a year, so maybe they're only selling to Bobae and taking direct customer orders now?
