My girlfriend was getting the munchies for some cookies and we were in the area. Unfortunately when we arrived I had no idea where to go. We circled the entire area and decided heck they have a phone number I'll hit them up. They were actually using the kitchen of the cake shop which made sense this was the only building lit up in the area haha. I called up and they told us they don't have cookies sitting out and they make a fresh batch. I ordered a dozen and waited outside for 20 minutes. Came in and bam they were literally out of the oven. Paid cash and on our way with some cookies and man were they nice and hot. Definitely have that nice warm taste to it. These cookies and munch cakes are phenomenal! I have booked catering munchcakes with Mark twice now. Once for work, which everyone loved and promptly gobbled up, as well as for my wedding. While I have not had my wedding yet, he has agreed to deliver outside of the normal delivery area (for a small fee), and is able to handle my order of nearly 200! For work, we ordered 200 munchcakes, and Mark even helped us create mini munchers, that arent as large. They arrived warm, right on time, and were delicious. Next time we are planning on ordering 250-300 simply because the 200 we ordered didnt last through our 150 guests. They are also the best darn cookies ever! So so so good! read more

Each time, I've been extremely pleased with my interaction. My sister goes to Stanford and I wanted to send her some warm cookies. Because it isn't an option on he site, I just emailed them and Mark was quick to respond and super helpful. They do come warm and with only a $12 order for free late night delivery, you really can't go wrong. My mother and I decided to order cookies from Midnight Munchies on a whim last night for the first time; we heard about all the great reviews MM has gotten on Yelp and finally decided to give it a try. We ordered through their website after some careful deliberation. We got half a dozen of their assorted cookies (2 Chocolate Rain, 2 RickRoll'd, and 2 Chocolate Chip), as well as half a dozen of their munchcakes. We placed the order around 9PM, and requested that our order be delivered by 11PM. While we waited for our order, I contemplated the fact that our request for the cookies to be delivered within that time frame may have been unreasonable. However, we received a call around 10PM (an hour after we placed the order), telling us that the driver was outside our door with the delivery. When we received our cookies, they were warm and fresh out of the oven! I immediately went for the Chocolate Chip cookie (who doesn't love a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie?) and was in pure bliss. The flavor and texture were incredible! My mother, whose favorite type of cookie is oatmeal, was extremely pleased with the RickRoll'd cookie and her munchcakes. We are extremely happy with Midnight Munchies' service and efficiency! On Monday I saw a flier advertising their weekend local delivery service, and for the rest of the week I was so excited for Friday so I could get cookies delivered. 10pm on Friday rolled around and I went to their website, and was annoyed that there was no local delivery option. I tried loading the website multiple times, but no local option appeared. I even tried on 3 different devices (phone, iPad, laptop. Don't judge me - I wanted cookies!) I tried again about 45 min later, and it finally worked! So I ordered a half dozen "Boom Goes the Dynamite" snickerdoodles. It took them 1 hr 15 min to get here - I had literally picked up my phone to call and complain when they arrived. But they had graciously included 3 free munch cakes (the cookie version of Inception) to make up for the late arrival, which I appreciated. Anyway, the cookies are really delicious! I'll definitely be ordering again. On taste alone I'd give them 5 stars, but I have to dock a star for the website annoyance and the lateness. read more

Now, I doubt that I'm the Bakery's most frequent customer. However, I think I make the top 10. Every weekend I play both Pinkie and the Brain: "Gee, Andrew, what do you want to do this weekend?" "The same thing we do every weekend, Andrew. Order cookies from Midnight Munchies Bakery!" This place has a lot going for it. The cookies are fresh (sometimes very so) in a way that say, a boutique cupcake isn't. Since they deliver until 3am on Fridays and Saturdays, they are open four hours later than anything else that delivers. The $12 minimum order is very easy to make- it's a dozen cookies, or a half dozen, some ice cream, and tip. Their Chocolate Rain cookies (basically a chocolate fudge-mint) are amazing when they arrive warm. Their spiced snickerdoodle (Boom Goes the Dynamite) is sublime. Everything else is various degrees of good, except for The Annoying Orange, which has a very chalky artificial flavor to it. The cookies are big, rich, and they keep well for the next day, plus breakfast on the third. To give you a general idea, by myself I can eat nine cookies before they start to get a bit stale. For two or three people a dozen is a perfect amount. It's a small, friendly operation, and I have a sneaking suspicion that if you asked them to draw a dragon on the box they would do so with gusto. At the end of it all, who doesn't want to be awake at midnight, waiting for the doorbell to ring so they can yell "YAY COOKIES!"? read more

A belated review... Last year, I was looking for something to send to comfort family across the country who had just suffered a loss in the family. I stumbled upon the Midnight Munchies Bakery website and was first surprised by their reasonable prices, even with delivery. When I received my confirmation, I wrote back and asked it if would be possible for them to deliver on the early side since there was a baby in the house... and if they could be a little on the quiet side. I also inquired if there was a way I could add a tip from my end across the country since I didn't want to burden the family with that while they were in mourning. I received the most lovely response promptly directly from Mark who said they would deliver as close to the beginning of the night as possible "to minimize the risk of waking the baby :)." and "Don't worry about the tip, the thought is much appreciated but it is not necessary." This place is amazing! I ordered cookies to send to Colorado and to San Francisco. First, Mike contacted me via email to "see if I wanted to send a nice note with them." Ummm...ok, I'd love to. ;-) (just really nice customer service). Both friends LOVED their cookies. They raved about how delicious they were. As someone looking to send a couple friends a treat, this really hit the mark. They were easy to order, cheap to buy, cheap to send, and high impact with my friends. The cookies arrived in a day to both places with minimal delivery charges if you ask me (I mean, shipping next day to Colorado is normally quite a bit, this was very reasonable).
