Overhyped. Came here on Jan 3, 2026, parking is a bit tight so be careful. Bought a blueberry fritter, matcha glazed and ube glazed and the total was $15 which is INSANE. Cashier said cash only and never offered to heat it up, went right back to talking on the phone with his wife or girlfriend back home. Out of spontaneouity, or more like out of impulse last Sunday morning to relive the deliciousness of a lemon filled donut, I decided to check this shop out again. (Since the closest shop in Belmont is not as good or doesn't have much variety as this location). Plus the last time a bought a dozen variety for my coworkers back in 2021, everyone in clinic loved the donuts! I arrived around 1230 p.m. and was lucky to be served right away and surprised to find two more donuts of the Ube flavor left, I snatched these up as they looked interesting! Also, the man behind the counter made the lemon filled donuts for me. Apparently the flavors I chose were specialties and cost altogether, $20 for 4 donuts! Whatever, I thought and bought them anyway and was not disappointed. The Ube flavored donut was delicious, crispy as one other Yelper commented (but only bc of the dry frosting on top of the donut). Either my taste buds were off, but I couldn't tell if this actually tasted like Ube, but it was delicious nevertheless. The lemon flavored donut was my favorite. I know the filling is an artificial lemon flavor, but that didn't matter as it was still my favorite Lol. Getting here can be tricky; you're either coming in from the main road (Woodside) or if at the intersection you make a right or left on Orchard Avenue, there is this tight entrance with low clearance you can drive your car through. The parking lot is plenty, but shared with other businesses. Imagine coming here during rush hour! So try to go first thing in the morning or maybe on the weekend? Chuck's Donuts is open 24/7, so you can come by anytime. We had the blueberry, ube coconut crunch, and the white chocolate Fruity Pebble donut. All of them were fresh and tasty. The blueberry was soft and not too sweet. The ube coconut had a nice crunch, and the Fruity Pebble one was fun and sweet with a light glaze. Fresh donuts come out around 11am, so that's a good time to go if you want them warm. They also have coffee, milk, and soft drinks. You can get chai, cappuccino, espresso, smoothies, and freezes. They had sandwiches on the menu too. The donut shop has free wifi and feels like a regular donut shop smells like coffee and pastries. I went in at 3:55 a.m. and was surprised to see the guys making donuts on the premises-- great that they still do that. I ordered a ham, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich, and it arrived on the largest home-made looking croissant I have ever seen. The croissant was twice as large as a normal croissant, so it was a huge sandwich-- that explains the $11 price, which was worth it. I also got a half-dozen donuts and they were huge donuts, plus I got a free one thrown in. This place exceeded my expectations except for the fact that they only take cash or Venmo. Who does that in 2026? Thankfully, they have an ATM in the store, so I was able to pay for my order. Interesting place and there are many opportunities for improvement, so I would say this is a little overrated but still a solid place to go for those odd-hour meals and donuts to-go. Ambiance is that of an old school lunch counter, including Formica booths and tables. Protip: the Mobil gas station nearby has street-legal 100 octane fuel from Sunoco.
