Wow. This has been the best fresh fish and portion size I've had at a sushi restaurant. You actually get what you pay for. I ordered the Marilyn Monroe roll and the superman burrito. They were amazing! The Marilyn Monroe was beautifully displayed and each piece was very filling. The superman burrito was very easy to eat and it comes with sauces that you can dip into that make the experience even more savoring. read more

We've been coming here for years as our "go-to" date night restaurant and were always very pleased. On our most recent visit we were surprised to see an "updated" menu. We were shocked when our rolls arrived and were HUGE!! The server tried to tell us they were large but being that we'd been coming for years, we thought we knew what to expect. Many of them were too large to even eat in one bite!! I have no problem using chopsticks typically and found myself fumbling trying to pick these up because of the size of them. The flavor was also very bland or just not good at all. I ordered my favorite roll, eel, and could only eat one piece. It tasted "smoky" and was just simply disappointing. Unfortunately it looks like we are going to have to find a new favorite date night restaurant. read more

Love this place! It's our go to for dine in or take out sushi with a good price. The staff is friendly and they have pretty quick service. We always love Uni sashimi but they will also make us an off menu spicy scallop hand roll if we ask for it! If you're looking for good cheap(er) sushi, you should give this place a try. read more

Uchi quality sushi at a more affordable price, especially if you do not want to drive down town. My wife and I love grabbing take out or sitting at the sushi bar. Get Uni Nigiri or our favorite spicy scallop hand roll (it's not on the menu). Sushi chefs will make anything you want even if it's not on the menu. Try it! read more

I come here with large groups, with one other person, or dine by myself. You get your money's worth with the portions. The lunch specials are a great deal. I like the tadami table (low Japanese table) for when you have a group because it gives you an element of privacy. Reserve it in advance if you are coming during your lunch hour. I always need to ask for a straw with my drink, but that's the only quirk I've noticed. read more

Friendly, inviting atmosphere that hits you the second you walk in the door. The host and waiter were extremely pleasant and the food was very well prepared and tasted wonderful. Tuna Tataki is phenomenal. Ambience is great. The interior is fantastic. Service is very fast. Sushi comes out as soon as it's made. It's great if you're sharing, but not so much if it's separate plating, since it staggers the meal. However, it's also super fresh. While the in store food is really great, ive been going here for years, the to go bento boxes dont match up to par on the in house ones. Ive consistently been skimped on to go food, almost always getting bad cuts of fish or sushi. The tempura shrimp all three times ive ordered to go are small and lacking in the delicious vegetables that i usually enjoy. Also, the vegetables have been undercooked 2/3 times. I think I'll stick to eating in the restaurant. I see no reason to be paying the same amount of money for food that seems to be on its way out. read more

This place has unique rolls that taste good! I like how they bring out the rolls one by one. I wouldn't recommend anything that wasn't a specialty roll. The first roll I had was a specialty roll and it was AMAZING, later I was brought their house rolls and had already had high expectations and was disappointed with the taste of the regular house rolls. Midori is, by far, the best sushi restaurant in the North Austin area. Tonight my daughter and I treated ourselves and were delighted to get the sashimi and sushi combo and it didn't disappoint. The sashimi was fresh as could be and the sushi was flavored perfectly. Their portions are much more generous than any other sushi restaurant we've tried. Service is excellent, too.
