The food was great! Very fresh and flavorful! The plating was also very pretty. Service was super quick, and she was very kind. The place itself was clean and comfortable. It wasn't hectic when I went, but I feel that even if it were, you and your table would have space and not feel crowded.
This is slowly becoming my go-to weekday lunch special sushi spot. At $15 for 3 rolls, this is a pretty good deal and super filling! My go-to rolls are Spicy tuna, spicy salmon and salmon and avocado. Other sushi spots sometimes have pre-made spicy tuna/salmon which do not taste fresh at all. This store I can see them making rolls on the spot. Service was a little slow on the weekday, so I would recommend you call ahead if you want to pick up. Friends ordered lunch bento boxes that also looked like a good deal! Recommend a visit especially if you're in the area.
I love this place. The rolls are made fresh on the spot. Love the lighting and decore of this restaurant. I would prefer to eat there. But mostly I do a pick up. They are alway ready when they say. The establishment is very clean. They are very nice and friendly. I have never had one bad experience dining in or to go.
I personally believe Midori is a staple sushi place of Piscataway. Lately I've been able to get a table whenever I go without having to wait. It's typically pretty quiet as well. The service is always great and the food comes out quickly. They're simply nice people. I love trying their special rolls and the gyoza is always my fave.
The sushi here is hot or miss. Today was officially my last time ordering from here. The tuna was extremely fishy and stunk. The shrimp tempura had plastic under the breading- no it wasn't small parts of the shell which is still not ok but full plastic Picture below. Definitely not worth the attempt to try. Other places are better in area. Don't waste your money here.
We were in the neighborhood and stopped by. I was delightfully surprised they offered lunch specials on a Saturday! I got the Veg Teriyaki Bento box and husband got Any 3 Rolls. Both came with miso soup, which would have been perfect if it had a bit more seaweed and were just a little hotter (hubby thought the temperature was just right). The sweet potato roll was delicious, crispy and fresh. The avocado peanut roll was very different--it was fantastic! The peanuts seemed to have been roasted and slightly sweet. It perfectly accompanied the avocado. I added a bit of soy sauce and wasabi and it was very tasty. The bento box was good - veggies were fresh. The service was friendly, fast and attentive. The decor was fun.
They have a fantastic menu for lunch! I ate here during my lunch break and it was as fast as going somewhere for fast food. We were in and out of there in no time. We both got a bento box for lunch and we both enjoyed our choices. The shumai were crispy and the edamame were salty. I did wish the protein came right on top of the rice but I guess that's just my preference for easier eating. Will definitely consider coming back again for lunch.
Midori has some of the BEST quality sushi around the area. I've been here a few times and each time, the sushi is well-prepared, fresh, and absolutely delicious! My boyfriend and I got take out from Midori to satisfy our sushi craving and I loved the rolls we got. 4 rolls (2 hand rolls and 2 special rolls) for the both of us was more than enough! For the hand rolls, we each got our favorite classics: Spicy Tuna Roll and Shrimp Tempura Roll, which were as good as we'd hoped. We both like spicy/sweet flavors, so we went for the Madness Special Roll and Red Devil Special Roll. The Madness Roll was by far my favorite of the two! It's covered in spicy mayo sauce, which gives it the perfect balance of spice and sweetness. The Red Devil Roll was not as flavorful as I'd wanted it to be, but it was still pretty good. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because take out has been extremely busy lately and it was fairly difficult to get in contact with the restaurant. When we called to place the order, it was very quick and went well. But when we went to pick up our order 20 min later, there was a line of about 7 people waiting outside the door also waiting to pick up their order. The line moves quickly and the staff does their best to keep it efficient, but I was not expecting the order to take as long as it did to be ready. When you order takeout, try to call ahead to see if your order is ready!
I love coming here and I love their signature rolls! What I really appreciate is that they have a cooked sushi roll section. So if you can't or won't eat raw, there is something for you. I think the prices are very reasonable for the rolls and the service is very pleasant. The restaurant is clean and lovely and it's good for a date night. And it's great for a catch up with friends.

We've been here a few times and we like this place. This time we came in for Mother's Day. It seems they revamped the menu. It's a lot easier to read and there are some new items. In a party of five, there were no complaints. Everyone got hibachi and noodles, chicken katsu, shrimp and scallops. We also ordered the appetizer with teriyaki eggplant (Nasu niniku). I highly recommend it if you like eggplant. I got a new sushi menu item called the colorful roll. It had purple potato and avocado inside, topped with mango slices and mango puree. It was very good, but sweet. I think it might taste better without the puree. I would still order it again. Bathrooms were clean. That's always a plus. read more

BEST of the BEST. I honestly wish they had all you can eat because if they did, I wouldn't go anywhere else. The attention to detail here is amazing, even down to how they decorate the plates. Everything is done with so much care and it really makes you feel welcomed and wanted. Their caterpillar roll is hands down the best roll I have ever had and it never ever disappoints. I wish everyone could try this place, and if you can, make sure you do. They even give you candy when you're leaving, which is such a small but thoughtful touch. Everyone here is so kind and welcoming. Definitely wish I could give more than 5 stars. read more

Love Midori, I come here for dinner and sometimes lunch. The food is always delicious and the staff is attentive and nice. Take out is good too. Enough space for a group of people or a couple. Well be back soon :) read more

Great service and a reasonable price for the high quality sushi, has been a staple since growing up eating here and they have never disappointed. Ambiance is business casual, but you'll also feel comfortable in a T shirt and shorts. read more
Midori is a pretty well known local sushi spot. It has lots of options for different dietary preferences. The portions are good and the prices are reasonable. The staff have always been kind when I've went. It's a nice place to dine in but I've also seen people take their sushi to go. read more

Sushi was pretty good a lot of different flavors and options. It was $46 for 3 rolls (some were specialty) so it was reasonably priced but I wish it was a bit cheaper. Service was also great and decor was lovely. overall great experience! The midori special and shrimp tempura rolls were amazing definitely get the ones with mango. read more

Recently moved to the area and was craving sushi. I found Midori on Yelp and decided to try it out. I ordered by phone and even got a call back when my food was ready which was really nice. Pick up was very nice and no contact which was great. I ordered shumai, shrimp tempura roll, dragon roll and chicken teriyaki. The sushi was absolutely delicious and very fresh! My boyfriend enjoyed the chicken teriyaki and we both liked the shumai. Can't wait to order again and try other things on the menu! read more
If you need a quick bite, this sushi restaurant sure does get you in and out. Fast service and very attentive. As for the sushi, it seems to be just average for me. I really enjoy their eggplant appetizer with a side of white rice. Super saucy and garlicky. I also enjoyed their shrimp and scallop rolls however I felt like it was more like kani than anything. They're still in COVID lockdown with take out only. They have a strong barrier in place and take the precautions seriously. Their sushi is average and a bit suspect. As you can see the fish for the Philly roll is supposed to be smoked salmon but is unidentifiable and looks fake to me. The wasabi is also a very artificial green. With that said, they have average prices with lunch specials. Good to go if you're craving sushi in the area. read more
I have to say I definitely miss eating inside the restaurant and I'm not sure they are planning to open up for dine in anytime soon. I rarely order take out sushi because I enjoy it much better at restaurants but I was given a gift certificate for Christmas and decided to order it. I have been eating food from here since they opened and rarely disappoint . Prices have definitely gone up but understandable I guess in the circumstances. Was disappointed with the chirasi no flavor in the rice a tad bit hard . Also the peppered tuna salad wasn't the greatest either. But we enjoyed everything else we ordered. Please open soon !! I got the party tray B for 74 pieces which is supposed to feed 5-6 people. My family of 7 shared this and it was honestly the perfect amount. None of us were stuffed but we were perfectly content and we finished every last roll. The total came out to around $75~ which really isn't too bad for the amount of sushi we got. It also came with a huge variety from shrimp tempura rolls, dragon rolls, spicy tuna rolls, and more. I definitely recommend getting this party platter for family gatherings! read more

We placed an order from this establishment the first time. We ordered hibachi shrimp, a side fried rice since they do not give you an option for fried rice or noddles. It automatically comes with a side of noddles so if you want fried rice it's an add on unlike the usual place I usually visit but this came with a side of salad. We also placed an order of Shumai. The fried looked a little sticky or too soft but after taking a bite it wasn't bad at all. The shrimp also had a lot of vegetables on the side and flavorful. Overall is was money well spent and will definitely order here again. read more

Little hidden gem for reasonably priced, extremely fresh sushi in Piscataway, NJ! We ordered 2 appetizers, a bunch of sashimi and one roll. All the hot food was amazing and all the raw fish and sushi roll were impeccably fresh. Service could have been a little better as the clearing of plates and offering soy sauce dishes didn't happen until we were practically done with the meal. All in all, I was very satisfied with the quality of the food here and will be back in the future! Dishes we ordered: -Nasu niniku $5.95 (Japanese eggplant with garlic teriyaki sauce): very good, eggplant was super velvety and the sauce was full of umami 9/10 -Hamachi kama $13 (broiled yellowtail collar): the best parts of a fish are near the bones and this was a very generous portion with lots of meat; highly recommended 10/10 -Sashimi Salmon $6.50, white tuna $6, eel $7, hamachi $7 (all sashimi came with 3 pretty generously sized pieces): all the fish was super fresh 10/10 -Spider roll $9.5 (soft shell crab, cucumber and avocado): this was my only criticism, the soft shell crab was fried just a little bit too long which made the texture a tad too crispy 7/10 read more

Craving sushi (its what happens when you spend 9 months being preggo) but concerned because pandemic. Got the lunch special (pick 3 rolls - eel avocado, philly cheese, spicy tuna) with miso soup, seaweed salad, kani salad (imitation crab + cucumber + spicy mayo)... plus a bonus crazy roll. Lots of yums, crunchy when promised, fresh everything. Delicious. Food was solid, online order was easy, pickup was safely practiced. Craving safely filled thanks to Midori! read more

ALERT when picking up your food! Inside the pickup area, there is a humidifier that spews out chlorine dioxide as it claims it disinfecting the area BUT, breathing chlorine dioxide gas can irritate the lungs, nose, and throat, causing coughing, nosebleeds, and chest pain. Higher levels may cause fluid to build up in the lungs (pulmonary edema) leading to death! My wife and Daughter love Sushi. We typically eat Sushi on Fridays night and try different Shushi restaurants. Visiting New Brunswick we desired to eat Sushi and looked for various in the area. We selected Madori and it did not disappoint. Excellent service and great Sushi. My teenage son who is a picky eater, even tried a few. BYOD. read more
