    Cucumber Roll and S.V Roll

The food was great! Very fresh and flavorful! The plating was also very pretty. Service was super quick, and she was very kind. The place itself was clean and comfortable. It wasn't hectic when I went, but I feel that even if it were, you and your table would have space and not feel crowded.

Love Midori, I come here for dinner and sometimes lunch. The food is always delicious and the staff is attentive and nice. Take out is good too. Enough space for a group of people or a couple. Well be back soon :)

    Lunch Special 3 rolls - $15
    Ingrid C.

This is slowly becoming my go-to weekday lunch special sushi spot. At $15 for 3 rolls, this is a pretty good deal and super filling! My go-to rolls are Spicy tuna, spicy salmon and salmon and avocado. Other sushi spots sometimes have pre-made spicy tuna/salmon which do not taste fresh at all. This store I can see them making rolls on the spot. Service was a little slow on the weekday, so I would recommend you call ahead if you want to pick up. Friends ordered lunch bento boxes that also looked like a good deal! Recommend a visit especially if you're in the area.

I love this place. The rolls are made fresh on the spot. Love the lighting and decore of this restaurant. I would prefer to eat there. But mostly I do a pick up. They are alway ready when they say. The establishment is very clean. They are very nice and friendly. I have never had one bad experience dining in or to go.

I personally believe Midori is a staple sushi place of Piscataway. Lately I've been able to get a table whenever I go without having to wait. It's typically pretty quiet as well. The service is always great and the food comes out quickly. They're simply nice people. I love trying their special rolls and the gyoza is always my fave.

The sushi here is hot or miss. Today was officially my last time ordering from here. The tuna was extremely fishy and stunk. The shrimp tempura had plastic under the breading- no it wasn't small parts of the shell which is still not ok but full plastic Picture below. Definitely not worth the attempt to try. Other places are better in area. Don't waste your money here.

Veg Teriyaki Bento and Any 3 Rolls

We were in the neighborhood and stopped by. I was delightfully surprised they offered lunch specials on a Saturday! I got the Veg Teriyaki Bento box and husband got Any 3 Rolls. Both came with miso soup, which would have been perfect if it had a bit more seaweed and were just a little hotter (hubby thought the temperature was just right). The sweet potato roll was delicious, crispy and fresh. The avocado peanut roll was very different--it was fantastic! The peanuts seemed to have been roasted and slightly sweet. It perfectly accompanied the avocado. I added a bit of soy sauce and wasabi and it was very tasty. The bento box was good - veggies were fresh. The service was friendly, fast and attentive. The decor was fun.

They have a fantastic menu for lunch! I ate here during my lunch break and it was as fast as going somewhere for fast food. We were in and out of there in no time. We both got a bento box for lunch and we both enjoyed our choices. The shumai were crispy and the edamame were salty. I did wish the protein came right on top of the rice but I guess that's just my preference for easier eating. Will definitely consider coming back again for lunch.

The sushi was really and super fresh. Super casual vibe and extremely fast service. We ordered some Edamame, Spicy Salmon Roll, Midori Special and Fire Crackers Roll. Recommend all.

Great service and a reasonable price for the high quality sushi, has been a staple since growing up eating here and they have never disappointed. Ambiance is business casual, but you'll also feel comfortable in a T shirt and shorts.

Midori is a pretty well known local sushi spot. It has lots of options for different dietary preferences. The portions are good and the prices are reasonable. The staff have always been kind when I've went. It's a nice place to dine in but I've also seen people take their sushi to go.

Red Devil Roll (top left), Madness Roll (top right), Spicy Tuna Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll
    Jahnavi Y.

Midori has some of the BEST quality sushi around the area. I've been here a few times and each time, the sushi is well-prepared, fresh, and absolutely delicious! My boyfriend and I got take out from Midori to satisfy our sushi craving and I loved the rolls we got. 4 rolls (2 hand rolls and 2 special rolls) for the both of us was more than enough! For the hand rolls, we each got our favorite classics: Spicy Tuna Roll and Shrimp Tempura Roll, which were as good as we'd hoped. We both like spicy/sweet flavors, so we went for the Madness Special Roll and Red Devil Special Roll. The Madness Roll was by far my favorite of the two! It's covered in spicy mayo sauce, which gives it the perfect balance of spice and sweetness. The Red Devil Roll was not as flavorful as I'd wanted it to be, but it was still pretty good. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because take out has been extremely busy lately and it was fairly difficult to get in contact with the restaurant. When we called to place the order, it was very quick and went well. But when we went to pick up our order 20 min later, there was a line of about 7 people waiting outside the door also waiting to pick up their order. The line moves quickly and the staff does their best to keep it efficient, but I was not expecting the order to take as long as it did to be ready. When you order takeout, try to call ahead to see if your order is ready!

I love coming here and I love their signature rolls! What I really appreciate is that they have a cooked sushi roll section. So if you can't or won't eat raw, there is something for you. I think the prices are very reasonable for the rolls and the service is very pleasant. The restaurant is clean and lovely and it's good for a date night. And it's great for a catch up with friends.

The restaurant has a futuristic feel. You sit at your own booth while food travels around on a conveyor belt, ready to be picked up. I believe it was around $36 per person for all you can eat, and drinks were included, although refills were not. You can order up to 5 food items every 5 minutes, and your order is delivered directly to your table by either a little car or a robot, how cool is that?! Each party gets 90 minutes to dine. Dessert was a separate cost for the ice cream, which I believe was around $2, but there were also cakes traveling on the belt that were included in the all you can eat price, and they were tasty! The entire experience was so much fun and interesting, and the food was really good too! My personal favorites were the hibachi steak and shrimp tempura sushi. I can't wait to go back! This is definitely a place worth your time and money!

Vibe was like Asian Chipotle in terms of decor and minimalist design. My friend got a teriyaki bento box but I was in the mood for sushi, so I opted to get some rolls. They were pretty good. Staff were super polite and helpful. Also very speedy with how fast everything came out. Staff really made the difference I think. Plenty of parking in front of the building as it's a shopping strip. There were many empty tables with dirty dishes left on them, which to me suggested they were understaffed that day. To my knowledge, Lua was recently constructed, however the booth seating was already ripping and the floor and booth seams were honestly grimy. I would've expected those from a hole in the wall restaurant, but it looks really modern and "elevated" inside. My menu was dirty and I didn't realize it was missing some pages (because the pages ripped from the staple) so I thought the menu was a lot smaller than it was. I hope they find a better way of cleaning the restaurant interior and menus, and update the menus to higher quality. I ordered (S3)- Vietnamese Dried Noodles, which came with a bowl of soup. The rest of my party ordered (A16)- Butter Glazed Fried Quail and (B4)- Grilled Pork and Spring Roll on Rice Vermicelli. -I ended up eating the (S3) Dried Noodles for four days because of the shear quantity of them, so to me it was incredible value. And it had a fair portion of seafood and the flavor was actually surprisingly super delicious, if not a bit sweet. I had an upset stomach that day and was happily surprised this dish came with soup. I would reorder this, especially if I was hungry. -For me, the quail (A16) was a little dry but well seasoned. There were two quails in the serving. I would reorder this again only if I was craving small bites. - The pork chop (B4) was on the above average side in terms of taste, but fairly large in terms of size. There was rice, spring roll, egg omlette, along with other sides. Overall, Lua Vietnamese Restaurant had an extensive menu and I really enjoyed the food. However, while the food was quick to come out, the table service was painfully slow and the interior was grimy. I'd recommend giving it a try if you're in the area, but not in a rush.

Upon entertaining on a weekend evening, there were a few tables with patrons but not too busy. The restaurant did seem a bit understaffed with only one person taking orders / bringing food out, making it difficult to flag down this one person to successfully take our order and ask for anything additional throughout the night. Gyudon: for the price, we were really surprised at how small of a portion this was. It was not only in a small bowl, but the meat was layered on top perfectly deceiving you to think that there was more than there actually was. The majority of this dish was rice, and with limited sauce at that. As displayed on the menu images it was to be served with a runny egg, but unfortunately we got a fully cooked one (disappointing, as we were looking for something to mix with the rice!) Sushi: We got a 3 rolls and they were just alright. They were pretty small in size, with less rice than I'm used to (which is something I do like - I would rather more fish than rice!) With us getting spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and spicy scallop - they all kind of tasted the same, so I wish the fish wasn't as heavily masked with spicy mayo. Ramen: I got the black garlic ramen, and it wasn't the best, but wasn't the worst. I've purchased fresh ramen packages in the supermarket before and it tasted just like that, so it made me disappointed knowing I could achieve the same at home. The soup itself was extremely rich and fatty, and the charsiu had no flavor whatsoever leaving much to be desired. The main reason I'm rating this so low is upon having my last bites of sushi, I could tell something was off. I don't recall which specifically I had but I made a statement that it was extremely fishy and off putting. Fast forward later that night, I was hunched over the toilet vomiting with stomach pain - and I can deduct that the sushi was the culprit. I might consider trying Ottoyee again due to the great deals they have listed on food delivery apps, but the sushi quality (quite literally) put a bad taste in my mouth.
