    Superior Crack Smoked Sea Salt
    Jermaine J.

The staff is very knowledgeable and the service exceeds expectations. The ambiance makes you want to stay longer. Tell them your dinner plans and they will help you prepare accordingly. The food and spice collection is great. I took home two Ribeyes and a bottle of Superior Crack Smoked Sea Salt and let me tell you. I'll never put anything else on my steak besides Smoked Sea Salt and Black Pepper. Thank you Midtown Butcher for your recommendation.

A friend recently gave my husband and I a gift card to the Midtown Butcher Shoppe and what a fabulous gift that was! The shop is right next to Piedmont Park on Monroe and has plenty of free parking (which is always a plus!) Another great perk is that this shop is dog friendly so you can bring your leashes pup in after visiting the park to grab dinner to go. The workers were welcoming and helpful. We took advantage of the meal deal which was an entree, salad and bread for two for $16.99. We chose the chicken lasagna and the tomato mozzarella salad. We also added a slice of key lime pie (in the picture below, the pie is sliced in half) and a bottle of wine. We thought the prices were very reasonable. The lasagna was easy to heat up at home, but on the website they mention if you call ahead, they can heat it up for you in the store. Overall, we absolutely loved our experience at the Midtown But her Shoppe and can't wait to go back to try some of the fresh meat!

Delicious Ribeye...Compliments of Midtown Butcher Shoppe
    Terry S.

The Ribeye was absolutely delicious and the lobster ravioli is full of lobster! I have shopped here a couple times and I must say that superb quality describes the food and the service here...I have a serious carnivore in my home so I only had about 1/3 of the steak but here is the pic...FYI- the Cab was recommended by a rep at Total Wine & More.

    two steaks in glass dishes

Ik. It looks like different steaks from the glass dish to the cast iron. That's because it is, but they came from the same place. This is some of the prettiest looking steak I've ever seen. The marbling is on point. Only place I get my steaks from.

Spinach dip is delicious! I added lump crab meat to it as well!

Ask the Community - Midtown Butcher Shoppe

How much is the top round here?

Do they carry a5 steaks? What about wagyu a5? Anyone know any butchers in Atlanta that carry a5 wagyu?

If they don’t, just ask – they’re very accommodating. If they can’t help you, Star Provisions often carries A5 wagyu

It's a small cozy business and immediately we were welcome by Patty. Very friendly and sweet. Already the place had the tables pre seared with our last names and tables decorated. The business is truly Italian with different wines (with card descriptions and where it's from), olives, pastas, cheeses, ham, etc). Before the activity was going to start Luiggy (sorry for the spelling) came out and talked to each one of us. Very Italian. It felt like your Italian neighbor super friendly and definitely had to be owner. During each different wine, him and Connor (the wine expert) explained each wine in details and answered all our questions. The wines were from Puglia, Tuscany, Venetian and Apulia. Very fine and savory wines. They paired each with a particular appetizer salad, cheese and meats plate, manicotti and meatballs. All four are great sizes and also the wine they serve you. The two hours went by so fast. It was so relaxing, fun and you felt you were in Italy. We brought some wine bottles and they even gave us a discount. This place not only has this but also other cooking specialized classes and trips to Italy. This is an experience that you won't regret and I can't wait to participate in the other activities. Thank you Luiggy, Patty, Connor and Jose (my son that booked this) oh and the price for this is so worth it with everything you get!

No alcohol is served and this establishment, but you can bring your own. Parking was very accessible, which you did have to pay for parking, which is no problem. It was very inexpensive. Walking towards the venue, it was a small quaint establishment with a great amount of sunlight, great customer service and an open area that you can order food. I would definitely recommend that you pull up the menu to view upon ordering your food, that way it can go much smoother. I was able to order multiple items such as the mussels which were delicious, crab avocado salad, which was amazing and the Caesar salad with grouper added was even better. There are a variety of items that you can order on a daily basis. Being that this venue is small, I would recommend that you come a little bit earlier, especially if you have a group of friends. You could sit outside or inside but spacing is very limited so keep that in mind. If you have any food allergies, make sure you communicate that when you are ordering. The bathroom is available, but not as accessible for a customer. Lastly, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that is looking for some great food, parking or customer service. Can't wait for my next visit.

It's only though ordering some goods from Root Baking to pick up that I discovered this organic weekly market. Morningside Farmers Market was set up in the parking lot of a tiny strip mall home to a running store. Parking in the neighborhood wasn't difficult at all. There were to my count, about eight vendor tents set up and two of them were produce-focused.  At the risk of sounding like a Portlandia character, I snagged some absolutely gorgeous radicchio from Diamond Hill and striking purple sweet potatoes from Sparta Gardens. The radicchio had leaves the hue of iceberg lettuce but they were speckled with magenta dots. Beautiful! And the sweet potatoes were deep purple both outside and inside!  You can place orders with Root a few days ahead of time to pick up. They also have some extra treats to choose from. The multigrain and sesame semolina breads were delightful and made excellent slices for sandwiches. For sweet stuff, their chocolate croissants can't be beat. Seriously.   Besides bread and veggies, other tents were hawking eggs, meats, honey, chocolate, and grains. Since the market wasn't too crowded, shoppers kept their distances, and everyone was wearing masks. The market is open from 8-11:30 AM Saturdays though some things were sold out already before I arrived. I'm glad I got to explore this cozy farmers market and definitely plan to return, hopefully on a warmer morning! ***NOTE: This market has moved to a new location. As of today, it's now at Morningside Presbyterian Church, 1411 North Morningside Drive.

Now that we've gotten that out of the way... This has been my farmers market ever since I moved to Atlanta 10 years ago. What keeps me coming back isn't just what they have--it's who they have. The staff here has always made me feel like family. Whether it's the sweet gentleman who cuts the fresh pineapple, the gentleman preparing fresh coconut water, or the ladies at the checkout counters, everyone is consistently warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. Those interactions may seem small, but they're a big part of why I continue to return year after year. Of course, the selection is incredible as well. This is where I buy most of my fresh fruit, a lot of my meat, and--let's be honest--my desserts too. Speaking of dessert, there is one item I absolutely have to mention: the fruit tart. I've tried fruit tarts from all over, and I can honestly say this market has my favorite one. Every single year, it's become my birthday tradition to pick one up, and I look forward to it just as much as the celebration itself. It really is that good. One thing I've always appreciated is the consistency. No matter which part of Georgia I've lived in over the past decade, I've continued making the drive because I know exactly what kind of experience I'm going to have every time I walk through the doors. A couple of helpful tips if you're visiting for the first time: * While the parking lot can look busy, I've almost always been able to find a space. You may have to park a little farther away, but a few extra steps are well worth it. * Also, be sure to come prepared--this market accepts debit cards or cash only, so credit cards aren't accepted. There are plenty of farmers markets around Atlanta, but this one has always felt like home to me. Between the incredible selection, consistently fresh products, and the kindness of the people who work here, it's a place I'll continue returning to for years to come.
