Stopped for lunch the other day . The downstairs was filled so we made our way upstairs to find seating. Our waitstaff was prompt in bringing our drinks, they have beverage service upstairs too, and menus are on the tables already . It was a raw day so I planned on half a sandwich and a cup of soup. They have wonderful chicken salad here, nothing strange in it, like pickles or cheese. I ordered chicken salad with lettuce and tomato on wheat with a cup of roasted red pepper soup. I had the most delicious turkey wrap today. It was called the turkey and fresh spinach. It had tomato, Swiss, bacon, sweet onion and Mayo. Unbelievable!! I got the petite salad with their homemade Italian with it. I once again ate the whole thing. I have to stop! Lol. read more

Love this place and have been eating here for years now since they are down a couple of blocks from my job. The customer service has always been excellent and the delivery guy is absolutely adorable, always smiling and sweet. They will call you immediately with any availability issues. The food is pretty good and the meat portions are so generous that I normally ask for 1/2 portion. The website does not allow you to customize like it used to but I've had no issue with reasonable requests typed into the box being honored. Delivery can take awhile (and hour minimum usually) and the delivery minimum is $15 so if you are looking for a quick lunch for just yourself, this may not be practical. After you tip and pay tax you're looking at at least $20 so I normally try to order with coworkers. But, I get it- they only have one adorable delivery guy who is working his booty off to get the food to you:) I'd order more often if the minimum was $10 like most places. read more

Because I work next door, we eat lunch at Midtown a few times each month. I really enjoy their salads and fresh soups. They had an amazing Roasted Red Pepper bisque that was phenomenal! The food at Midtown is excellent and I commonly order from here when I'm treating my team at the hospital to lunch. When we called over there today to place a large order, unfortunately something happened that in an instant changed my perception of this place. When my coworker (who called early, around 10:15am) called to placed the order she asked the girl who answered the phone if there's any way the order could be delivered any earlier than 11:30 (in the past when we've called early Midtown has been accommodating and has been able to deliver early.) The girl then asked a male in the background if that would be possible and his response was a clearly audible "you can tell her she can go f*^k herself." The female worker came back on the phone and politely tried to cover and said the early delivery wouldn't be possible. To this my coworker replied "you can tell him I will not go F myself" and then promptly canceled the order. I understand that Midtown gets crushed at lunchtime but this sort of behavior just isn't acceptable. I will be certain that the owner knows about this incident (I called as soon as I could personally but he wasn't in) and I definitely won't order from here again (which makes me sad because I'll miss the Californian Delite.) read more

My wife and i drove 4 hours to come here because when we lived in Wilmington this was her favorite place. We try to stop by everytime we come in to town. Today, we were seated and it seemed different this time. We did not feel very welcomed. I shrugged it off because it could just be my imagination. My wife and i ordered our food; she had the americana and i ordered the Californian. When it arrived, both sandwiches looked tasty. It was then that i saw it... it was a long, black hair in my sandwich. The waitress asked if i wanted another and i told her no. I know things happen but i felt it was sort of brushed off. They took the sandwich off our ticket but still charged me for my drink, which is ok i guess but i literally drove 4 hours just to end up drinking a cup and a half of tea and watching my wife eat her food. My wife questioned the cashier about the bill and the cashier said that she was just the cashier and could not do anything about it. We got there about 3 & there was a lone doctor as the other customer. We were greeted & sat & served very quickly. My boyfriend had "The Roma" which was very good & I had the "Turkey & Bacon" wrap, sub ranch dressing & sub a pasta salad that was in the cold case.
