First time at this salon for a basic manicure. Total waste of my time and money, my nails look terrible. My nails were a little on the longer side for me so I thought I'd treat myself. The tech asked if I wanted them cut short or just filed. I specifically said I wanted to keep the length, just lightly filed. For some reason she filed them down super short. My nails were well past the tips of my fingers before. She nicked me several times during the cuticle work. She obviously rushed through that because my cuticles look terrible. The tips of my nails are crooked, and not smooth. The polish is thicker in some spots and transparent in others, with a pretty large gap of bare nail space between my cuticle and the edge of the paint. I could have done a much better job myself. I treat myself to the deluxe pedicure (I get gel) and enjoy the extra cooling mask and massage after my callus removal and sugar scrub. I have been going to this nail salon for one year now and I have nothing but positive things to say about everyone there. The Manager Nikki is so down to earth and easy to get along with. She is very accommodating and makes sure that not only I am taking care of but every customer in the salon as well. The nail techs are fast paced and quick with their responses. My experience with the nail techs, they always give me the nails I want exactly and are even fun with coming up with ideas to design my nails. They are extremely gentle and very patient with me, as I can be very fidgety with myself sometimes. I have never had an issue with any of them speaking poorly to me or being inconsiderate or rude. They are all warm hearted and easy to get along with. I have often found myself getting close with some and favoring few to keep repeating on getting my nails with. The maintenance and cleanliness of the nail salon is kept tidy and clean. Coming into the nail salon you would expect it smelling like harsh nail polish, but it smells so good like cookies and the space is fresh. My favorite thing about this nail salon specifically is they are up-to-date with what our generation uses for payment methods and designs. So they have various payments that you can use to pay for your nails, as well as keeping up with trends and ideals of how most people get their nails done. I have never walked out of the nail salon, disappointed, and if I am upset about something or don't understand something about my nails, Nikki is quick to inform me and help knowledge me as well as any other nail tech to help me better understand what I'm paying for and the type of nails that will best fit me. I have never had an issue with my nails breaking off or my nail beds having excessive damage like other nail salons that I have been to. I have a lot of patience when it comes to customer service. A lot. However, as much as they try to make amends about a situation it doesn't feel genuine. Being an on and off customer of 2 years they continuously disappoint. The last time I was here was about a month ago, I was getting my toes done before I went out of town. Mind you, as a young adult I really care about how my nails look especially over my birthday weekend. They chipped my big toe & as I'm trying to explain to the lady I wanted acrylic there seemed to be a language barrier, also very much okay- we can get past it. I come in the next day to finish my nails since everyone else had dipped for the day lol. So now I have acrylic on my two big toes. 2 weeks later I'm hiking in Sedona & my acrylic nail LIFTS/ breaks off, probably due to the fact that it was too long in the first place. Why do I have to tell a nail salon how to do their job over and over again? You cut my other toes extremely short yet leave my most exposed toe long? IT DOESNT MAKE SENSE. I'm absolutely in tears. Moving forward to the picture- can someone please explain to me WHY this is so thick, ugly and now I'm eventually going to lose my nail there for however long. My two friends and I decided to get our nails done for an event the day before on a whim. We looked on Groupon and decided to try this place. We each got groupons for one gel manicure. We called ahead to make sure there would be enough space for all three of us and the owner was so accommodating! He reserved three chairs just for us so we were seated right upon arrival at around 4:35. The nail salon was already very busy at the time but since it was my first time, they were very patient. I wanted a French gel manicure which was $5 extra, but it came out super well! They took my old chipped nail polish off, trimmed my cuticles, shaped my nails and buffed them before any of the polish went on! I was so pleased with the results! I was visiting from Chicago. I did not enjoy the service. Upon sitting down we received sanitizer which I was thankful for because it showed how serious this business is taking COVID. Unfortunately I asked my nail technician to be more gentle he continued to yank my arm pass a comfortable reaching point. I also requested a cuticle cutting service. I asked numerous times. He wrote down the price and slammed it down ignoring my request. He put cuticle oil on my nails and asked me to wash my hands. He rushed to put someone else in the chair never cutting the cuticles. I spoke to the manager upon exit informing her I never received this service. He (my nail tech) then interceded and said he could do it for five more dollars. I also noticed other women around me received a moisturizing hand treatment after their service. He seemed as if he didn't want to touch me. I assumed it was because of my race since I was a kind customer. Lastly when he finally cut my cuticles he was moving quickly and angrily so he made one bleed :(. Honestly I'm so over this place. I had been coming here since they opened and gradually have gotten worse and worse. Last time I came I waited an hour and a half just to get a gel manicure and then they let someone who had just got there go in front of me for the same service. I almost left and I should have because when I finally got seen my nails were rushed through and not that great. Today I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. I called ahead to make sure they weren't busy. I was seen right away but the lady rushed through even though no one was waiting. I left with gel polish all over my fingers and she did such a shit job cutting my cuticles and dead skin off even after telling her my nails get bad because I have to wash my hands a lot at work. I had to go home and cut the cuticles myself and scrub the skin on my fingers off. One of the nails has already chipped too and it's been.. 3 hours? These were supposed to be my birthday nails and I am not happy at all with the service anymore.
