I have to admit -- this place is out of the way and unless you knew specifically where you were going, you might miss it. It's settled in the back part of a shopping center, but I'll also tell you this: you'd be missing out greatly if you passed it by. I've only had a few items over the passing months, mainly the Stromboli's and the sandwiches, and they are indeed freshly made and the ingredients are tasty, not overpowering themselves but melding nicely together. The chef definitely has all the details covered in presenting his menu items with flavor in mind. One of my all-time favorites is the Chicken Stromboli, as the chicken is nice and moist, the garlic and tomatoes provide a good strong flavor, and the pesto provided is a well- deserved complement to the dish. As with some Stromboli's elsewhere, it comes out in a grease-covered mess -- not so with this item, as well as the others I've tried. The atmosphere is quaint and quiet, with a good bar selection of cocktails. The staff is immensely friendly and accommodating. Give this place a try and you won't be disappointed. read more

It was good, I suppose, that the appetizer wasn't better than the primary meal. It seemed "meh". The pizza I ordered was a specialty pizza called the "Trastevre". It was Roasted Chicken, Cherry Tomatoes, Sweet Peppers, Arugula, Red Sauce, Parmiggiano. When it arrived it didn't appeal to me, not because it was ugly or disgusting to look at, quite the contrary. No, it was because I wasn't used to seeing arugula, which was generous and uncooked. My thoughts went to the nearest greens of which I was familiar-- cilantro-- and the thought of pungent cilantro all over my pizza was not thrilling. So I bit into it and was pleased that arugula was not pungent at all. It didn't interfere at all except that there was so much that it fell off the slice, making it a bit awkward. I ate with a fork a good bit. It did make me feel good that there was fiber with my carbs in one meal. Haha All in all, it was a delicious and unique pizza that I would definitely recommend for its flavor, if not for the ease of eating it. My gf bought one of the folded pies, the House Calzone, I believe. It contained Sauce Bianca, roasted chicken, fresh bell peppers, mushroom, caramelized onions, mozzarella. We both were less impressed with this offering. Even though green peppers would have would have been unwelcome to me, my gf was disappointed that she found red bells used instead. She also complained that the bread seemed undercooked in places. There was enough unique and delicious in the combined fare that, when out together with the fact that there's a lot of food for the price, we were still satisfied with our meal as we departed. If you don't like thin crust, innovations like white sauce pizza, or non-standard ingredients like fennel, probably not the place for you. This place is hidden in a shopping center but worth a stop. I really liked my salad which came with large portions of chicken mozzerella tomatoes etc. yum! Love love love this place. Pasta has be so sadly hit or miss. First 5 times was best I have had in town and lasagna that rivaled some of best ever. I've been in withdrawal since moving from BHam's Gianmarco's. Their prices are very reasonable and pasta of the week once was a seafood dish with vodka sauce and shrimp/crab....awesome. Sadly their pasta the past half dozen times has been mushy and overcooked. Avoid the meatballs which are frozen tasteless and obviously premade. They lasagna was so good in the past I'm still hoping it gets good again someday. My wife had given up and says I should stop trying. Really sad that it was soooooo good, and now it so bad. I'm praying it's a phase. Regardless the pizza is so awesome. Makes pasta an afterthought. We like the Zelda. They have nice and different options to pick. Plus make your own ... i.e. The usual suspects. Also the appetizers are nice and one of them is basically a cheese pizza with some fresh basil. Soooooo good. We bring all out friends and family here. If only the pasta hadn't sucked so bad so consistently so much, id give 5 stars as it had otherwise been so amazing so consistently. Maybe they hired a new chef for pasta who sucks. Traveling through from California, and decided to try Midtown Pizza because of the high Yelp ratings and because of the fact that they had two types of lasagna. Went here last night with a few classmates. The food was fantastic. I wasn't in the mood for pizza but this is a nice change from the typical Papa John's or Pizza Hut. I had a calzone pizza there, it was fantastic. The other guys got pizzas and a lasagna. It was very good food. Stopped in on our way back to FL for a late lunch--love their pizza. My wife and I both ordered a custom pizza. They have a tremendous variety of options for a build your own pizza. You choose your sauce from at least 5 options, then choose cheeses--more than half a dozen options, then there is probably more than a dozen choices of meat topping and even more choices of veggies. Very difficult to find in the back of the complex. Pizza was mediocre (burnt crust) and service was terrible. I waited an hour after placing my order. No one checked to see if I needed anything or apologize for the delay. When I did flag someone down to ask for some water, they forgot to bring it to me. There are enough olives for an army but only three slices of bread. Ordered the vegetarian pizza with prosciutto which was thrown on as an after thought and was cold. This was an excellent pizza place! My husband and I were driving through Montgomery and stopped at Midtown (which we chose because it had good yelp reviews). It was towards the back of the shopping area. We came at a very early hour (probably around 5 on a Tuesday) so it was pretty empty but that was great for us. We ordered a small vegetarian pizza and Greek salad to split and my husband got a beer. This was a perfect amount of food for 2 of us. The pizza was great -- thinner crust but loaded with toppings! The salad was large and tasty, and my husband LOVED his beer. He said they had great microbrews on tap and had a hard time deciding which was to get. We highly recommend this place! read more

Went to Midtown Pizza while traveling back from the beach to home. Found the place on yelp, but had it marked as the second place we might go. First we traveled downtown to an Italian place by the name of Sanza, I think. Since we were traveling, we were also eating lunch at a weird time, 2:30ish. We paid the meter, walked up to the restaurant, and find it's CLOSED! They close from 2-5 everyday. How inconvenient from someone who is traveling and just needs some pasta I'm their life!!! So we traveled over to Midtown Pizza and I would say we were very happy. If we hadn't been beered out from our vacation we defiantly would have tried one of their amazing selections. My boyfriend was freaking out that the place was in a Zelda shopping center and they had a pizza name Zelda. He had to get it. I myself needed my spaghetti fix so I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. Huge portion and nice for the price. The meatballs didn't seem homemade, but you take what you get.
