I did not expect much from this place when I drove up, and expected even less when I walked into the showroom (which has ceiling tiles with mold and outdated decorations from every holiday in the past year). What they lack in aesthetics, they make up for by being attentive and providing great service. We met Ryan, our sales advisor , who is a nice responsive young man & was truly there to help. We ended up trading out our 2017 Mercedes GLS For much updated 2022 version, and even got it in the same color. The dealership itself is old and in much need of repair, however the kindness of Ryan and also Mike, who did financing saved the day. They remained professional throughout the entire experience. We couldn't be happier with our experience with Midway Automotive. Kevin was our salesman and he assured us the 2019 Lincoln MKZwould be run through the shop and anything they found that needed repair or replacement would be taken care of. At 80 I've heard that before. To our surprise they replaced all 4 tires, wheel balance and alignment, new brake rotors and pads, a new battery, a water pump, and wiper blades. All that and a full detailing before I took delivery. Amazing!! I've been looking for a used car for quite some time. I wanted an SUV instead of a sedan. Saved several on different websites and decided to go to Midway with 2 saved vehicles. I arrived and he had the Tuscon ready and waiting. The other saved vehicle was sold that day. Francisco was so informative with the SUV that was left and we spoke about what I was looking for in an SUV. I test drove the Tuscon and it was nice, but not exactly what I wanted. Copy of an email sent to the Midway service team after a 2 year nightmare with a car purchased in 2022 that was (and is no longer) under warranty: "Hi, I am reaching out about a vehicle purchased in September of 2022-- a **** ***. Your service staff have worked on this vehicle on several occasions since this time, sometimes keeping the car for months at a time. Services have allegedly included an engine replacement, along with other major repairs -- the car has continuously been demonstrating the same issues after your 1-3 months in your shop. At one point, a team member of yours even rudely accused it to by my fault and required that I paid out of pocket for one repair. I knew this was unlikely, but did so anyway -- and here I am with the same issues. Now, we are left with a car no longer covered under warranty despite still being under 100k mileage (you were sure to remind us of this during our most recent phone call), and still having the exact same issues that we have bringing it in for over the last couple of years. Now I am looking at your Yelp reviews and seeing a similar pattern from many of your customers over the last couple of years and this is confirming the unfortunate circumstance that I am in-- stuck with a vehicle that you likely should have never sold -- certainly for the price tag I have paid. You held onto our vehicle for months at a time on more than one occasion, and now telling me that my warranty has expired. I am reaching out because I am demanding that Midway take accountability for their actions by servicing our vehicle free of charge regardless of the warranty expiration, given that it should have been repaired long ago and there have been at least 7 months of our time under warrantee that the vehicle was under YOUR care. I have records, dates, time stamps and receipts that I will be happy to bring along with me if you'd like to further discuss, otherwise please tell me when I can drop off my vehicle for service. Please do not buy car from them. I bought a car from them couple months ago, two weeks later the check engine came on I brought to them and they told me everything was fixed. After picking up the car two weeks later the same issue happened and they told that they couldn't help me. I brought the car to my mechanic and found out that they sold me the old car with some old brakes and rotors and with an leaking radiator and some old plugs. Those cars look nice but they have a lot of issue when you buy them you are on your own and the warranty they sell to you, won't help you. read more

Car purchased a couple of months ago had its check engine light and trouble codes cleared at delivery and they didn't provide an inspection sticker. That should have been a red flag! Passed inspection later at my local gas station but the trouble codes apparently kept emerging but did not set Check Engine Light (CEL). After the CEL turned on it was diagnosed that the vehicle needed a full timing chain replacement; used car warranty had expired by this time so no recourse there. $3000+ out of my pocket! So moral of the story is buyer beware! Better have a pre-purchase inspection by an independent mechanic before you buy. And if dealer can't provide a safety and emissions sticker out of the door DO NOT take delivery of the car. read more

A dashboard falling apart and an eyeglass case in the roof that would not stay hinged. Several small burns in the back seat, Because I had the gall to say I wasn't putting money down on the car till it was fixed he called me rude. Had a conniption fit and drove off in his little cart. My 4 new tires were installed on a different car and they told me my car was ready for pickup up and when I went home husband noticed that my original tires were still on the car. $800 2nd time. Truck needed a battery and alternator. Charged for both and they never put a new alternator in. 3rd time. Failed my car for inspection that has nothing wrong with tires. 32000 on a 75000 tire. We explained that we lived two hours from the dealership and wanted to confirm that it was what we were looking for and would be available when we arrived. Took my $5,000 down payment and the title to my trade in and then told me that my new car was being fixed, didn't know what was wrong with it, didn't know when it would be done and I might have to drive it a while before it could get an inspection sticker. There is unfortunately not enough bad things that can be said and I've wasted enough energy with this god awful place already so i'll be as brief as possible because i could go for days about the service in this hell hole. To summarize we bought the "PLATINUM" service package along with the "KEY" package and this cost us next to double the car price but "Hey it's a BMW they cost lots to repair but with this PLATINUM warranty everything is covered up to 150k miles" oh ok we'll buy that please ty .... hey it only has one key so you should buy the key replacement warranty and you can get up to 4 keys .. WOOHOOOO sold..... As time went on it was a hassle to get anything done and they always made it like they did us a favor by getting work covered "I was able to get the heater core covered but not the faulty comp system" ohhhh PLATINUM didn't get that and i paid 5000 for the warranty but i get it but can you have the second key made while it's there so we have a spare and the car won't need to be kept at a later date? then the BS starts .... there was every flipping excuse as to who when where why how that flipping key was to get made and not one that came close to making sense but wait for the last excuse if you're still reading.... we had our car repaired there approx 8 times and for the most part they were OK no complaints until the last one. car approaching end of warranty it goes in it gets repaired and the little punk repair manager (cocky as F) gives me the shizz that it was broke becuase we didn't change the oil yet the receipts for the oil being changed THERE were in the car. he sends it back my wife calls and says oil warning light came on i told her pull over i rushed there and wouldn't you know the hood won't open i said screw it you've got about a quart in there it's not far bring it back. we go to pick it up and the little punk says your cars a pos we filled the oil and the hood is just broke. oh and your warranty ends in 1000k miles so we're not fixing it anymore. OK so you forgot the oil you broke the hood and you're telling me my cars a pos with 4 oil leaks? that ended the service part. but fyi 11 months later we're still driving it and it leaks about a quart every 2 months.... So to the Key they have not to this date supplied us with a second key nor have they pointed us to the company that covers it and now that it's nearing the end of the loan of course we actually lost the key and they point us to the locksmith they use??? ummm we've been asking for 3-1/2 years and now it's here use this guy but you pay we reimburse. we do the key process pay the gentleman (nice guy to ty) and call up for our long awaited reimbursement of our key and after several I don't know and i'll call you back and so will i call and i will from everyone we actually were told and i quote "The salesman that sold you the car died". HOLY %^%^^*&*&(*(*^&%^%&^*&*&(**(* you are serious my warranty is void because the salesman has passed away??? maybe i should have suggested quitting smoking while we were there smelling his awful cigarette smell but god rest his soul i feel awful BUT NOW WHAT ABOUT MY KEY?!!!!! in fairness while typing this my wife called and they put us in touch with someone who for now seems to be willing to reimburfse from an insurance company but they asked "Did you get 2 keys with the car" so that being said i think it's falling on them to pay but hoping not to wait another 4years read more

I went to purchase a truck and after having it for less than 24 hours the check engine and traction control lights came on and the truck had a rough idle. I went to the dealership and they claimed it was only a sensor and if you look up the trouble code it displayed it could have been the fuel line, fuel pump, fuel filter, ECM, Mass Air Flow Sensor, and then with a misfiring engine that could have lead to engine damage. I was severely disappointed that the sales men were convinced it was a sensor. After getting my check back for the vehicle, I left and then called to get my deposit back because I had forgotten about it. They will not return my deposit until another individual purchases the truck in question. Midway is not a pretty dealership, but there great to work with and have good deals. I purchases a 2013 civic from them with no hidden fees or surprises. The one Hiccup I has was that the car battery died shortly after buying the car (which usually happens around the age and mileage that the car was at), and Midway replaced the battery at no charge with no haste at all!!! I was in search for a Mercedes ML350 and saw one that I liked on the Midway Automotive website. I called and spoke with salesman Bob Hurley. We agreed to meet the following Sunday afternoon. On my way to the dealership I was a little hesitant and nervous because it had been 5 years since my last car purchase. I didn't want to deal with all of the typical hassle of buying a car. When I arrived, Bob greeted my fiance and I with a big friendly smile which set me at ease. We took the car for a spin and then we were able to check out the car on our own (which we enjoyed). Bob answered our questions, was not pushy nor sketchy, returned my inquiries in a timely fashion and even accommodated a couple of requests I had before making the final decision to purchase. I waited a few days to leave a review as I wanted to make sure everything would be ok with the truck. I love my new SUV! I am so glad I found this dealership. It is not there's only a small plaque on the wall that says that. I was offering my 2010 Honda Civic as a trade-in and they offered me $1000 for it. Yes... $1000 there are no mechanical issues with my car, they tried to claim a bunch of things "oh the bank won't take a 2010, we're just gonna give it to the junkyard, we're going to sell it for $900 at the auction, there's $3000 of cosmetic damage"... Which all of those are lies. My car is worth over $6000 and I even offered them half of that as my trade-in and they all laughed loudly about it while telling me no. All I can say is after paying over 20 grand cash for a car they basically cried poor mouth when we said we wanted them to include a second key. Seriously no spare key in todays day and age. Spoke with the owner was told we were sick of getting cars with only 1 key and it costing us an arm and a leg to make up keys that we stopped doing it. I mean hey why don't you penalize the person turning in a car with inly 1 key and not your paying customers. Disappointed and disgusted at the complete lack of customer service in a world where reputation is everything. Pretty pathetic they couldn't make things right and a customer satisfied for a lousy $175. Don't recommend you go to Midway if you want salespeople to treat you half decent as a customer. While purchasing the car, they told me that the car would have to be looked over and fix any repairs if needed it. So buyer beware, if you want to buy the car same day, you can't. You have to wait for them to look it over and do their "repairs", before taking delivery of the vehicle. Usually most dealerships would have already looked over the vehicle and repair it if needed before having it on the market. The salesman that sold me the vehicle was on vacation, and had had another salesperson take care of me, he was definitely rude and didn't care about me purchasing the vehicle. My husband had called a few times to check in on when the vehicle would be done and told him that they were waiting on plates and registration for the car. Basically waited a couple of weeks to pick up my vehicle, which is ridiculous. My husband and I went to go pickup the vehicle and they told us that the car had a hairline crack from trying to install new windshield wipers. They told me that you could barely see it and that it wasn't noticeable, I requested for a new windshield, because there were no cracks when I first bought it. They agreed to order a new windshield for me. We took delivery of the vehicle and came back a week later to get inspection and the new windshield installed. My husband asked them about the windshield and no one had a clue about it, and that windshield was never ordered. Terrible job from the dealership. Miscommunication. Now for inspection, Massachusetts will not allow you to pass inspection if there is a crack on it for safety, as days went by the hairline crack was bigger, so it was noticeable. They do the inspection and it fails emissions but it should have failed safety as well, They cleared the codes on it and there was not enough miles driven for the computers to be ready. For the windshield, I have already lost trust in them, so I had my insurance replace it for me. Paid out of pocket for it, and insurance knows about them damaging the windshield, so it wasn't much. Comes 4 months later, on my way to work the transmission decided to go. I emailed them couple weeks ago for a copy of my lemon law paperwork and still have not received an email back. read more

After purchasing a car from them there was a very aggravating rattling noise so we took it back to them. They couldn't figure what it was. So they said they replaced the muffler. The noise still continued after that. We took it back and they said they didn't know where it was coming from and said as long as there isn't a safety issue you can drive it with no other issues. We went to our own mechanic and they said that the muffler needed to be lowered and that's why it's banging on the metal above it. The old muffler must have also been placed in the wrong position as to why the noise was there before and after the car was fixed improperly. We went back to them to show them what the issue was and they said it past the 30 days that they weren't going to fix it. Rob the boss said in the beginning even if it's past the 30 days that they would honor it because it's the same issue they had been working on during the 30 days. So basically he lied. If these mechanics can't even figure out what they did wrong and can't figure out what the problem is, it's very scary as to what they could be doing to your car. read more

However now even he is saying as much as he likes the car he purchased from them, he wishes he would've bought elsewhere. "They just tell a bunch of lies" were his exact words when I asked him why. When searching for such a big thing as a car, I like to be left alone to look around and if I see something I like, I will let the salesman know. if I could give this place NEGATIVE stars I would. My transmission went ONE MONTH after purchase. They "rebuilt" the transmission which was never right and then went again months later. Service did nothing but blow smoke up my a**. Telling me they will take care of this and push for this to be covered only to leave me in the dark, then offer to go "halfsies" when my boyfriend stopped by in person to check up on it because I needed to borrow his truck to get to work as a nurse during the pandemic. THREE MONTHS fighting with them and finally decided to pay another shop to fix it RIGHT. Not to mention being so professional and making jokes and laughing about the fact my car might not have reverse when I came to tow it to another shop because they were so terrible. RUN ! read more

My rowing club bought a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 from them and so far, we couldn't be happier. The truck is what you expect for a 6 year old truck with low miles. It's in good but not great condition and we did receive a good deal. I'd work with these guys again. The sticker price on the car was higher than the internet price so I'd recommend looking at the internet price of the car first and make sure you have that handy for negotiations. The truck did have the check engine light on when we test drove it. They fixed it, but I would have thought they would have fixed it prior to having a customer test drive it. Could be me being picky. They had issues registering the truck - not their fault - we had to do it a certain way that we and they were not aware of. Our salesman,Lino is the opposite of what you think when it comes to a used car salesman.He is HONEST and PATIENT He is the reason this purchase was made. Why? One example of many, many-My boyfriend is the guy who reads the fine print and wants to know every detail . Lino came out on a Sunday away from his family to meet my boyfriend for coffee and go over all the paperwork. Midway always receives My highest recommendation and it is due to Lino. NOT a good experience. I will start with a little good. Title was messed up, and they did give me a loaner, but it took over a MONTH to get the car I purchased. The salesman gave me a lot of wrong info and put the wrong amount of income I made on my application for finance (1/4 of what I made) as well as called me 5 times in one day, but won't call back when I reach out to them. They always act as if I am doing them a favor by buying. When I ask questions or need help I am treated like I am putting them out. I purchased an extended warranty on the car, and 2 months later have yet to see any information on it. I called 4xs, left messages and NO ONE will call me back. I feel ripped off! VERY BAD customer service.. I am in advertising/marketing. Probably not the best person to piss off. read more

Avoid at all costs. My son bought a car in March that cost over 17k. The engine light came on at the dealership .He was told it was a sensor. He brought to get a sticker and it didn't pass. Then it died on the Mass Pike. Two different times.it died 3 other times as well. He had it towed to a reputable mechanic with a4..8 yelp rating who was also business man of the year. He fixed it however it died again on the Mass Pike. Requiring further evaluation. He figured he didn't mind putting a little money into it. The car was 17k. He put 3k down. . He spent 2000.00 in repairs. He was then told by the mechanic the engine was bad. And unfixable. It was towed back to the dealer . Still under warranty and it still never passed inspection. They held onto it for several days and avoided his calls. Then called him and told him it was the head gasket that would cost 1800.00 to repair and that he had to pay half of the costs. He is now out a total of 7k due to his deposit repairs and a rental car and tows. The car has been at the shop now for over a month. Yesterday they called and said it needs an entire new engine and they will let him know what that will cost him. It died 5 times. Never passed inspection. And still under warranty and now they want to charge him for a new engine on a car he has barely driven. I wish my son had read these yelp reviews because this has happened before. He has filed a formal complaint with the Attorney Generals Office. He has also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. He has spoken with an attorney who specializes in these kind of lemon law cases. And he has reached out to Help me Hank . This is horrible to do to someone who works hard for a living. I bought a 2015 Ford Taurus from here. The salesman led me to believe that the car came with a lot of options that it really didn't have. These options were also listed in the ad for the car. I didn't notice until after I already had the car and brought it to their attention. I wouldn't have bought the car if I knew those options weren't equipped.
