Midway Chevrolet Service department is excellent. The SUV I purchased from Midway appeared to be leaking fluid today. I called them and Dragan offered to have my car checked right away. I arrived and was helped immediately by Dragan and other members of the friendly staff. The staff quickly found that my "leak" was simply condensation from my A/C unit. I was sent on my way in a timely fashion. I will definitely give the service department more business in the future! read more

My wife and I boiught a 2016 Malibu in February of 2017. We asked for 1 thing and that was GAP insurance. We signed very late as the dealership was closing and with a 9 month old, we were all tired and wanted to be done with the whole deal. The next day they called and told us that we had to come back into Midway right away because they had messed up by putting a rebate in the wrong box so it needed to be moved and the paperwork resigned. We went in three days after we originally signed to resign the updated paperwork they messed up, this time in the morning. The finance gentleman made the change to move the rebate to another box and said doing this made the price of our monthly bill go up 58 cents, something about taxation. We asked if anything else was moved or changed and he said, "no, just the rebate being moved and nothing else to worry about." We were never this was a new contract. Fastfoward to 2018 January 2nd and my wife gets rear-ended on the 202 freeway. After a few weeks or so with the insurance companies and repair shop they determined that the damage was too extensive and totalled the car out. The insurrance company says they'll pay X amount and if we have GAP then that will cover whatever the remainder of the car loan would be. I call GAP to make a claim and they have no record of our car in their system. I check my contract to see what happened. The original contract signed on 2/25/17 shows GAP and our rebate and that's it. I asked the agent are you sure? I check the "updated paperwork" portion of the contract dated 2/28/17 and it was removed along with our rebate and they added aftermarkets (Zactek) to the contract to offset the price difference of the "corrections" Midway made to our contract. So not only were we told that they didn't touch GAP and left it on the contract they quickly rushed us out the door at the time and lied to us. I have tried calling the general manager at Midway and left multiple messages for him to contact back to help resolve this issue. Has yet to call me back once. Also, had contacted the manager of the finance department to contact me with how this happened and how they could help us out with finding the video of the deal being made on both signings. If you don't know, Midway records all contract signings in their building. It took over a week to get him to agree to meet with me after multiple dodged calls and 2 answers, then as soon as he found out who I was hung up on me. I will never recommend Midway as a reputable dealership to anyone that is looking for a vehicle. Beware of the contract scam. read more

Our Black Friday shopping started at another dealer who made grand promises only to try and pull the carpet out from under us. We left there frustrated, aggravated, and sure we wouldn't be buying my wife the truck she wanted today. On our way home we saw Midway Chevy was running a sale on the truck we wanted. We called in and spoke to Crystal who talked us in to coming down and seeing what Midway had to offer. Crystal singlehandedly restored my faith in Chevy. She was kind, patient, fair, easy to talk to and in no way tried to lead us into making a deal that wasn't equitable for both sides. It really was like working through a deal with a friend. I have never understood why some dealers try to milk as much out of a single deal as possible instead of trying to build a customer for life. I told Steve Garcia the finance manager I did not want the Zaktek. He made my wife only sign a form and charged her $348. He then put me on hold and said Wells Fargo will only take the loan if I get Gap insurance for $999. Wells Fargo said that was not true and removed the gap insurance. I purchased the car and while driving away the check engine or tire pressure light came on. Sorry Midway, I can't send you my referrals. I'm new to Phoenix so I was trying to find a location that I could call my 'new home' since going to the same dealership in Tucson my whole life really was a second home. I had such an awful experience at the Chevy location in Arrowhead, told they didn't have time for me after I had waited 20 minutes in a service lane for someone to even acknowledge me. Finally when a mechanic acknowledged me he said he'd find someone to help me, with my window rolled down, he asked a service tech...the tech proceeds to say I don't have time to help her. Just so we were aware, it was 12pm on a Tuesday afternoon and there was no other vechiles waiting in the service lane. I've purchased three cars from Chevy and after buying a brand New Silverado...I was absolutely taken back when he said I don't have time to help her...standing 5 feet away from my truck. So I decided to come to Midway for the first time.....made an appointment on the app, the service girls even called to remind me of my appointment and told me I'd be taken care of as soon as I got there. I'm pretty sure Jason helped me; he's in box 1 and use to be a Service Manager in Indianapolis! He was awesome! He went above and beyond from turning such a bad experience into the best Chevy experience. I've driven a chevy since I was 16 & work in the service Industry. So I know when to reward amazing service. I am absolutely blown away with everyone that was working that day. Not a single person walked by me without acknowledging me. Since I bought my car (2016 Chevy Cruze) the tire pressure monitors were always giving me issues. Well I had a one year bumper to bumper or 10k (whichever comes first) warranty. I had brought it in before the 10k was up since I've only had the car for 5 months. Haha. Guess I drive a lot. They couldn't figure it out fast enough since I was in a hurry to get to Nashville so I had to go. Well that Nashville trip had put her over 10k and when I came back to fix it, nobody had documented that I was even there with this issue so I was super bummed because they all had failed at this point and it wasn't gonna be under warranty. Well Brian, yeah the one everyone else is raving about (and for good reason) took care of me and got it all taken care of under the warranty! What a man! What a great team! I have a love and hate relationship with this dealership. Most likely I will be back just because it's closer to my house and because I will not give Gateway Chevrolet my business ever again, so I'm stuck going here. I don't know why, but all the Chevy dealerships here in Arizona are so dirty and old. I initially was calling every dealership for help because my battery died while at work and later on I found I had problems with my steering wheel as well. No dealership was able to help me. They were more interested in going home instead of waiting 30 min for me to come. I called the service line over 15 times and no one picked up. The operator was rude to me and said "Well if they're not answering that means they're busy" I asked her then to send me to a manager, which she did. Manager didn't pick up, so at this point I was hysterical and left Dan a message on how upset I was. I ended up being able to start my car after about 7 tries. Drove home and my wheel locked up when driving. I was scared out of my mind. Fear of driving my car and I had to drive 45 min to get back home. I finally made it home, didn't sleep all night worried about my vehicle. I received a call from Dan asking me if I was ok, unfortunately that call was just too late. I was already home. I work 5 min from that dealership and could have dropped my car off and ubered it home, but nope. He told me to call him in the morning and he would help me. I called and no answer to his main line, I left him a message and didn't get a call back. I called the main service line and they answered. Schedule my car in that morning and drive it back again. Dropped my car off and they drove me to work, picked me up from work, and I was stuck with a rental for 4 days. They ended up having to order parts for my car to fix my steering wheel. Thankfully i didn't have to pay for the steering wheel, but paid $175 for my battery. When I came to pick my car up I barely made it to the gas station because my fuel tank was on E! They couldn't even put $5 worth of gas in my car while driving it around to test it? Smudge marks all over my windows which I had to rewash myself. Overall I'm not that satisfied, I shouldn't have to leave crying messages just to get help. I most likely will be back for my oil change, we will see.... I still prefer Courtesy Chevrolet, it's just so far! On top of all this, the report they handed back to me where they write what else they recommend had some things I had to change, they weren't able to do all of that while my car was there? Still having problems with my acceleration (RMP) and I had nothing on my report that says they checked it or if any things wrong with it, but I know something's not right with my RPM's. This is a typical car dealership, as friendly as they all appear, they are there to sell cars, remember they are not your friends. This was my first experience buying a used car in Arizona. I saw one of their advertisement on TV, Car for Clunkers, $3500 cash for your old cars. When I got there and evaluated my car they immediately found reasons within minutes not to honor their publicity. They will find a reason to give you less money. Typical to get you through the door. They noticed that I was not happy about the overall price, they increased a bit the value of my old car but not to the $3500 advertise and removed $1000 from the extra options they were trying to push on me, that were costing 1395$. Don't take their pushed options, however I got suck in to pay for the ZAKTEK paint protector, $350, to find out afterword that you can get single coat application of ZAKTEK for $29 in Scottsdale, check on line. My cost included 3 years of application, one coat every 6 months but on top of that there is no product warranty because the car is not eligible according to the fine print of the contract. So I get one application every 6 months for 3 years that is 6 applications for a cost of $358 instead of $180 somewhere else. Be aware of extra options the push on you. But really where I was most dissatisfied and I sadly deplore that my salesmen, however very friendly before I bought the car never returned any of my inquiries following the sale, it has been one week and no word, radio silence. Would I go back, probably, I would be more prepared, I know what to expect now, I know the game, so remember get every thing in writing before you signed the doted line. If it is not in the contract you better forfeit. EDITING UPDATE: Coincidence or not after posting I got a call from their department regarding the car key and an appointment has been set up to make a second key. So it appears everything ends well. I'll give them the benefice of the doubt, that they are a busy dealership but they need to upscale their response time. Once you can talk to them they are trying to be helpful. Thank you. read more

Was given several different quotes and felt like I was getting overcharged for service that I had done. The service rep told me that there was leaking/seeping somewhere on my vehicle shouldn't be something I should worry about. I have taken the 2013 GMC I purchased from them, in for engine problems 3 times over the last four months. They have charged me almost $1k to perform different "fixes" (ECM, Mass Air Sensor, Engine flush) and it is still generating codes, starting rough, and running rich. They also did $5k damage to the side of the truck while they had it in September. The window of the damaged door has never worked 100% despite their assertions that they replaced the motor and fixed the tracking system. I was told it would be an hour to complete and then I was told that I also had a recall that really needed to be taken care of which would be 1 hour and 45 mins to complete. I have a 2014 Chevy that was leaking oil I took it to Midway to get the oil checked for the leak I talk to Samuel Larios- Cruz he looked at the truck, took it to the back had me look under the truck with him which was amazing he then put dye in the truck to see where the oil is coming from I took it home I drove it for the weekend brought it back to him because it was leaking again he kept the truck overnight and gave me a loaner found out it was an oil filter leaking fixed it he did an amazing job worked really well with me I would recommend him any day way to go Sam! read more

I came to this dealership due to a recalled part on my vehicle. They were the closest GM dealer so I went. I figured while I was there I could have them fix a couple other problems I was having. That initial experience was very poor. The guy who helped me never called to tell me what they found wrong or ask if I'd like them to work on it. He sounded stoned. When he called to tell me my car was ready, I asked about the other issues I was having looked at and he said, "oh yeah, uh, it would be $800 to fix it" but never even gave me the option to have them fix it. Clearly they didn't want my money and I didn't even believe they looked at anything other than replacing the recalled part, so I got my car back and called it a day. I got another recall letter and took the car back (still not a great experience). Then a third. The third time, they were to have my car ready by the end of the day. I made the appointment over a week in advance and dropped my car off in the morning on a Saturday. It got be be almost 5:00 pm and they were about to close and no one had called me so I called them and they said they would not have my car done, they needed to order the part (which they should have already done since they knew what I was bringing it in for) and when I said I NEEDED my car to get to work, they said if I could get there in ten minutes they'd give me a loner. I had to leave the grocery store unfinished and rush down there. At what point were they going to call me to tell me they wouldn't have my car ready? I as the customer should not have to check up on them. They promised to have my car ready Monday but Monday came and went without a call from them. I think it was Wednesday before I got my car, and when I went to get it I come to find out they still didn't replace the part they were supposed to! They replaced something else that they had already replaced the first time I brought the car in! I had to take the car in yet again. Same situation, appointment in advance, took the car in in the morning, got to be almost closing time and not a word from them. I call and call and no one will answer me so I just show up there and find out the guy handling my service left for the day. It took them quite a while to locate my paperwork and see if the work was even done. I had asked them to check out an issue that was happening since they last worked on my car and and turns out there was something that needed to be fixed, but they once again didn't give me the opportunity to have them fix it. I look at the invoice and it states the car was washed but it was so obviously not. I wonder if they even checked the tire pressure or replaced the recalled part or did anything that was listed on the invoice. Here is something they DID do; they got grease on my upholstery which I spent an hour scrubbing in the 115 degree heat and it still hasn't come out. This place is a disgrace to the customer service industry. They don't care about anyone who is not there to buy a new car and it shows. I noticed they had time to wash the new Camaro which they were drying as I was standing there staring at my filthy car. I will never give them my business and I will make sure no one I know does either. They are full of excuses and empty promises. I gave them too many chances only to have them let me down every time. I'm not an angry person but this place has made me absolutely livid. I have zero positive things to say about them. I really wish I did. read more

They gave me a "gentleman's" quote that I agreed to. They then spent 4 1/2 hours working on the financing and ended up that they were quoting me on a 4 cylinder Camaro instead of an 8 using the same numbers. My trade value offered was 6400 on a 2008 Mercedes CLS. My 3000 down turned into 10000? When I got up to leave they tried pushing me into any car they could and stood in the way of my leaving. DON'T BUY HERE THEY SELL LEMONS!!!! They sold my daughter a car three months ago that was leaking right away. They claim they do this "inspection"on all their vehicles before letting you buy it.....bullshit! Two days after my daughter took this car home one of the tires was swollen and it was leaking on my driveway. When she took it in immediately the mechanic fixed the tire but told my daughter there was no leak. She believed the mechanic because she trusted Midway Chevrolet. Last weekend they took the car to Pep Boys for an oil change and found out that this car not only had a leak but a couple leaks!!! And that both the rear struts were bad....if they really DID this inspection in the first place they would have spotted the tire and the leak BEFORE she bought the car so obviously they lied about that. Their Branch Manager "Kevin" with his vindictive and condescending attitude denied the struts repair and approved the leaks stating "the extended warranty she bought doesn't cover the struts" (I say he is vindictive because he actually gloated to my daughter, very childish and unprofessional!!). This place is awful and obviously doesn't stand behind the quality of the vehicles they sell. I will be spreading this information to everyone I know and on the web so that no one can go through the financial mess my daughter is going through, the repairs needed for this car they valued at over $8000.00...she bought this car 3 MONTHS ago and only drives it in town and on city streets. read more

Purchased our 2017 Tahoe 8 months ago from this location. Was the special edition we were wanting so was well worth the hour drive. This is my first Chevy and I can't say enough good things about our purchase. It doesn't end there though.... we added the Zack protectant sealer package , so came back to Midway today (two small kids with me). Nick Thaxton was our service advisor. In a world full of disappointments it was a huge breath of fresh air to be treated so well. It's all in the details! Ended up being a 2-3 hour service, made sure we were taken care of start to finish. Called me an Uber both ways (and they paid) had us step in his ac office while waiting for the car to pull around... personal, friendly and most importantly professional. Beware of purchasing an extended warranty from Midway. I purchased one (shame on me) back in September 2013 sold by Al Gaffney in the Service Department and when I went to use it a couple weeks ago I was told the warranty company cut ties with Midway so I'm sh&t out of luck. I was never notified by Midway or the warranty company (Royal Admin) the contract would not be honored so I'm out over $3500 and the cost of the part $1100! There's no such thing as customer loyalty at Midway. I believe they should cover the part as it was a coverable item per the contract. I've been a customer since 2009 I will never do business with Midway Chevrolet again and I will go out of my way to tell everyone I know how they didn't honor something they sold to me. The ticket price said 41,900; he came back with a quote signed by the sales manager with a price of $51,000. Are you kidding me? Your going to quote us nearly 10k over ticket price and pretend it's a deal. Then when we tried to leave he said he was getting us a card and he came back with his giant buffed out sales manager. And when we said we're good and ready to leave the sales manager got pissed, turned red and tore the paper in half. Then as we were leaving the sales guy was standing behind our car clearly talking smack about us. This is why car sales men get a bad rap. Don't lie to us and pretend you are going to give us a deal and then over quote. And then get pissed off when we don't take your embarrassing quote and sales tactics. Bought a brand new Tahoe and was promised that they would pay for mine and my families dinner that we were late to due to finalizing a deal. It was documented and every time I get a call to trade in my car I bring it up. They find it in notes and blow me off. Today I took my Tahoe into the shop to find out the 100,000 mole extended warranty I thought I had was bs. They did the old switcharoo trick promised me 100,000 mile and what I actually got was a 48000 mile warranty which ended today. Didn't realize this until I needed it. Nothing but conmen over there lying cheating and stealing. Don't do business with them. So after this woman replied acting like it was her boss I called in and am still waiting for a call back. read more

I was swindled into buying a maintenance and warranty package, and the paint protection package. I was intimidated, and only purchased it to end the 4-hour negotiation. The salesmen offered an interest rate which was not available, and so I was forced into buying a 72-month loan as a last resort. The finance clerk blamed the salesmen, and made a $1000 error in the sales price, which had to be re-written. This experience was 6 hours of my life that I will never get back. read more

I'd like to give a special thank you to Brian Appleton, Automotive Service Manager of Midway Chevrolet located at Bell Road east of I-17. Brian was able to squeeze me in their busy Service schedule because my rear break lights were not working and this was a safety concern and I should not be driving with no rear break lights. Brian immediately took my car in and had his automotive crew check and replace both my rear break light bulbs. Because of the saftey situation Brian was able to accommodate my concern. I took my car originally to the Nissan across the street form Chevrolet and told me that they could not see my car because they were booked. That's when I took it to Midway Chevrolet and Brian Appleton was able to repair my car. I highly recommend taking your car in at Midway Chevrolet for your car's service, but keep in mind depending on how critical your car is depends on how they can accommodate you and get you in.
