Last year, when I paid the initial installation fee of $15,000, the contractor had to come out to my home approximately seven times before the new Lennox system finally began functioning properly. There were problems with the air handler, the thermostat and the brand new Lennox condenser outside needed the fan replaced after three weeks of the install. The owner lacked flexibility and showed absolutely no willingness to cooperate regarding any issues that arose following the installation. She displayed a complete lack of respect and maintained a consistently rude attitude throughout every conversation we had with her. The customer service is absolutely terrible. Not only were they completely unhelpful and unsympathetic, but despite the fact that the installation work was completed just a few months ago, I was told that they could not dispatch a technician during a heatwave with temperatures exceeding 32°C (90°F).

My husband even commented to the technician on how reasonable it was. You can imagine my shock when I saw a charge of $1599 on my AmEx bill this morning. Obviously their first reaction will be that my husband misheard the price, but for BOTH of us to have misheard is almost impossible. We know what we heard and we both heard the same thing: $59! Had we been told the truth we would not have agreed given the age of our unit and the possibility of having to replace in the not so distant future. I can tell you we will not be using Aggressive when that time comes, nor will we be renewing our service contract in the future. I don't mind paying for good service, but I don't like being cheated!

It gets even better as they actually did show up in 30 minutes and within an hour I was up and running again. This is an excellent example of good old fashion service and the cost was very fair. I had to call for a second visit, and because they came out twice, I was charged a service fee both times, even though the heating system was never repaired. I had no heat in the house, and when I spoke with the owner, Bob, to explain that I should not be charged twice for a problem that should have been identified during the first visit, he was unpleasant and not helpful. He compared my situation to taking a car in for repairs and still having to pay even if they don't know what's wrong -- a comparison that made no sense in this context. He also insisted that my husband call him, even after I repeatedly explained that he is my ex, then hang up the phone on me. He was insensitive and rude. I would absolutely not recommend this company to anyone. My ex‑husband and my brother both used their services in the past and recommended them to me, but it's clear that customer loyalty and family referrals mean nothing to this owner.

They charge $179 to come in and tell me that my furnace can't be fixed without even touching it and I need a whole new system for $16,000 this week only. It was a 16-year-old wheel McLain, which next to nothing goes wrong with.

I called at 8am to make a service appointment to check my boiler as my house was without heat and hot water. The representative on the phone was able to give me a same day appointment (between 12pm-2pm), which was a welcome relief. She then followed up with a call when the tech was dispatched and provided an updated arrival time. The tech, Kevin, arrived a little early and went straight to work confirming my diagnosis of a faulty blower motor (the error code was pretty clear as to what the problem was). He was courteous and efficient and I have nothing bad to say about the interaction to this point. I told Kevin that I had called Atlantic Plumbing Supply in West Long Branch to see if they had the part in stock, which they did, just in case his company had a hard time sourcing it. Kevin went back to his van to call in and work up a quote. This is where things took a turn for the worse. Atlantic Plumbing Supply was selling this replacement part (Weil-McLain 383-500-035) for $534 retail. General Plumbing Supply was sellling it for $653. Kevin came back into the house and told me the cost of the part would be $1200. I totally get that companies need to make money, and I was fine paying the $125 Service Call fee, the $40/15 min emergency service labor rate, and would have been fine paying for the part with a reasonable markup, but over 100% above retail and likely around 300% over wholesale was just way too much. Maybe they don't need new customers, so fair play to them on that, but imagine the loyalty they could have had if they had been fair on the cost of parts. Hell, I would have paid double the labor rate as long as they had been reasonable on the parts cost, but alas. I wish them well, but I do think customers should be aware of these unfortunate practices.

When I tried to go in the settings it required a passcode. Crystal Air was the company that installed the system so I reached out to see if there is a master code the system starts with in order to set the schedule. Instead of letting me know the typical master codes to test they sent TWO people out to input the original code the system came with. I received a charge of $330. This was a feature I could have lived without. I just wanted to see if they had a code I could put in so I could put the schedule in myself. When I called to ask about the bill, the woman at the front desk told me the owner would give me a call (never heard from him). I'm beyond frustrated being stuck with a bill like this. I figured since they installed the system they would know the original code and be able to help without sending two people and charge a bunch.
