I bought a vehicle under the full original manufacturer's warranty from Mayse. I was assured by a…read moresalesman and a General Sales Manager, multiple times, that if anything went wrong, "we'll take care of you." Well, things did go wrong. The vehicle had an electrical issue where it would randomly become undrivable while going down the road. I had it towed to their service department, where it sat for about a week and a half. Supposedly, they could find no issue with it. After a week, the service guy told me they had stopped driving the vehicle to try to reproduce the issue. He said, "If we can't get it to do it, then we can't get it to do it." It would have been nice to know they'd stopped doing their job days earlier. I picked up the vehicle when I could. Of course, the issue persisted. The second time I brought it in, there were still error codes on the vehicle. I had to argue with the same service guy because he kept saying no one could come out and put a code reader on the car for five minutes. When I got there, he suddenly found the five minutes. They pulled over 90 codes off the vehicle, then told me, "There's nothing we can do. There are too many codes." I suggested they contact Chrysler for help with the diagnostics. They still said there was nothing they could do. With seemingly no options, I went back to the salesman who'd told me, "We'll take care of you." I told him I didn't want the vehicle anymore, since they weren't going to fix it. The sales manager, who had also told me, "We'll take care of you" came out, and I talked to him too. He offered me $5,500 less than I had paid for the car only two months earlier. Then he said, "Give me three to four days," and promised they'd find me a replacement. Over a week later, I'd heard nothing, while still stuck with a vehicle I couldn't drive. I called again, and the sales manager denied everything. He claimed he'd never said he would find me another car in three to four days. After arguing with him too, he finally offered to buy the car back for $4,500 less than what I'd paid. That lowball offer is still ridiculous after only two months, especially given the repeated promises to "take care of me" -- promises that turned out to be lies. I understand that selling a car shortly after buying it looks bad on a vehicle's history. But as a business, if you sell a defective product to a customer, good customer service means trying to make things right, if nothing else. Reluctantly, I accepted the offer, because after two months of this, I needed a vehicle for my family. Eating a $4,500 loss was painful for our budget, but I had no other options. When I left the dealership, the general sales manager was still telling me he'd find me another vehicle. It's been over a month, and no one has called. In fact, over this entire three-month ordeal, not one person from Mayse Automotive ever called me about anything. If all they have to do is take your money and hand you the keys, you might be fine. But if anything goes wrong, they will deny everything and do nothing to make it right. At the end of the day, Mayse sold me a lemon while assuring me they'd "take care of me." They stopped driving the vehicle for diagnosis, letting it sit on their lot for at least a couple of days without telling me. They promised to find a replacement vehicle, then denied ever saying it. They bought the car back from me for $4,500 less than I paid, just two months later. We were effectively without a vehicle for two months, and even had to drive to the birth of my child in someone else's car. I've never felt so mistreated by any business in my life. I didn't expect to get all my money back, but being this clearly ripped off is unacceptable. A lot of people I know will no longer do business with Mayse. I hope the $4,500 was worth it. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.
