I was recently scheduled to see the doctor. After completing all of the forms, providing my insurance cards and arriving 15 mins.early for my appointment, I was denied service as I had left my state driver's license at home in error. I told the front desk that I changed purses and inadvertently left my license in that purse, she said oh, I understand however our policy is you have present it at the time of service. She then picked up her cell phone and called who I am assuming was her manager to explain the situation. Now, from where I was standing I could hear the responses...this person, stated absolutely not, I had to have my drivers license or state I.D. right now or I could not be seen. I told the receptionist as soon as I got home I could upload my I.D. into the patient portal; her posture remained the same. She was told I have credit cards, that match my name, not to mention I completed all office forms with the same identification. Still no go...I certainly understand policy, however there has to be a little give. Why couldn't they just see me?? If I did not provide the I.D. they could have just not scheduled any further appointments until provided. The front desk was not friendly at all and not very customer oriented. Currently going here for dry eye disease. I have had lipiflow done here with out much success. Currently on restasis and using preservative free eye drops. Dr. Carr is extremely professional and hopeful to find a solution to my dry eye issue. read more

Dr Carr was very professional and friendly. So was the rest of the staff. They explained why it was important to do each particular test and also explained what they were going to do beforehand. I appreciated being told what they were doing and why. It helped me to understand better. I would definitely come back. read more

Dr. Carr and his staff have been treating my eyes for the past 8 years. He never rushed me to have my cataracts taken care of saying that I would know when it was needed to be done. This past spring, with a large amount of apprehension, I told him that it was time. The procedures were done a little over a month ago and for the 1st time since I was 2 1/2 years old I can see and drive without glasses. This is utterly amazing. His staff was wonderful during the 2 weeks that it took to have both eyes done. I highly recommend their service and care. I've been going to Midwest Eye Professionals since 2009 when I had my first Lasik surgery. The staff is absolutely wonderful and services are the best of the best. I'm always impressed by the new technology/equipment and procedures they are using to provide treatment. I've gone back for Lasik enhancement procedures and dry-eye treatment and Dr. Carr and his colleagues are always helpful in my eye care. I've seen several ophthalmologists in my lifetime, and by far the doctors and specialists at Midwest Eye Professionals are the best. read more

This is more a review on Lipiflow, the service I got, rather than this actual dr. The Dr. and the facility are fine, but Lipiflow is a total SCAM. It costs close to $1,000, and they say it's going to help my dry eyes. I got it 2 months ago and my eyes are DRYER than before I had the procedure. On top of that, the company did not honor the rebate they gave me. This Dr. should know better than to be pawning a scam on his patients. read more

NOT surprised at your reply Dr Carr....Didn't expect anything but praise regarding Scarpulla... (doesn't want to admit guilt)...hurry thru and slip-shod surgeries.....rake in the dough.....and who cares about the outcome...!! I complained for 6 months....I kept getting the run around ....from the rookie trainees .....Saying ...."give it more time to heal"....6 months?? NO WAY .....Others have had the same surgery and see fine the next day afterwards........I couldn' t get eye glasses anywheres I had non- correctable double vision.....Tried 3 different places NO HELP eyes to bad....Never met or talked ( NO EXAMINATION) with Scarpulla .. .either before or after fouled-up-surgery (guess she didn't care and was avoiding me) Attending surgery nurse said to me " Wow Scarpulla set a record today......13 surgeries in a couple of hours.....before noon.....and you were number 13".....!! I guess being tired and rushing thru surgery and money is more important than the quality of service to the patient... A highly qualified/professional eye specialist-surgeon explained what Scarprtantulla did .......and ..... he did the corrective surgery......!! Thank God...!! Beware .....potential victims.....Find a caring/qualified surgeon....GO elsewheres...your eyes are to important....I did for corrective surgery......!! ALL is fine now....!! read more

To midwest eye professionals My mother went to you for a long time and it seems that she was only good for her services that she gave, not after death. I've called about four times to talk to doctor (Carr) and staff member just to thank and speak of my mother and I have not received one call back! The day of my initial visit (emergency appointment with Dr. Carr), I was told that my follow-up visit will be free of charge (no insurance, I was paying out of my pocket). Oh-yea, $140 bill slap me in the face (follow-up visit was scheduled with Dr. Beaupre), and for my question about mentioned "free follow-up", I only hear from behind the wall "I'm sorry, my bad". In addition, there was a piece of metal stuck in my other eye's contact lens, which they clearly see the day of my first visit (assistant said: "yes, it was there the other day too"), but I was not told about until the day of the follow-up, that it will be very wise to dispose that contact lens immediately. Wondering what I would hear during my third visit, which I skipped to save another 100+ dollars bill. read more

I was referred to Dr. Beaupre by a friend. I can't emphasis how awesome that man is. I've met a lot of doctors throughout my life, but he was one of the few that really went above and beyond patient care. Aside from calling me back past business hours when I emailed him my test results, which in itself is awesome, he explained to me in detail my test results, my options, and which followups he highly recommended. The staff at the office is super friendly, and patients are seen within a timely manner. A lot of the offices I've been to, doctor overbooks their patients, and end up waiting MUCH longer than expected. Regardless, if you're looking for an eye doctor, or maybe even a second opinion (which I guarantee will make you want to become a regular patient at midwest ), then Dr. Beaupre absolutely the way to go. I sincerely mean it when I say that Dr. Beaupre is the epitome of what all doctors should be. read more
