Ed was holding our new water pump.
Lilian L.

In 2003, Ed expanded our little fountain into a magnificent 11'x4'x3' fish pond with waterfall in the front yard. As my dad points out, the pond gives life to our house and makes it more "living." The pump Ed installed had worked 24x7 and finally stopped its 13-year service in early Feb this year. I contacted Ed and scheduled an appointment to evaluate the problem. He kept his promise and came in 2 days. He cleaned all the filters, volcanic rocks and bag, and even removed a few pounds of tree roots from the skimmer. Most important, he did several tests with the pump and concluded that the pump needed to be replaced. Through emails, Ed gave us quotes on an EasyPro TH pump and other materials we needed. Since the last pump was manufactured by Aquascape, we asked him to find another Aquascape pump instead. Unfortunately, the model we had was discontinued. So, we decided to get the closest model -- AquascapePRO 3000. Since we had not done any cleaning for the past few years, a few inches deep of mud was accumulated at the bottom of the pond. Ed returned to do a major clean up and installed the new pump for us. He had definitely rejuvenated our pond and made it look so beautiful again! Unfortunately, the new pump is far more powerful than our original 1500 pump. The water level inside the skimmer dropped swiftly. Ed shared with us different options and started with the one cost us the least. Although he was occupied by a huge project in Moorpark, he found his time to drive over to La Crescenta to help us seal the possible leaking areas, and then came back to install a ball valve to slow down the water flow. Problem solved!!! We trust Ed's expertise, professional services, and honest business manners. He gave us exact quotes in the emails and charged us the same amounts when the jobs were done. He also went beyond what we requested, just like bringing us some water irises to balance the ecosystem of the pond and charcoal to clear the "tea" color of the water. Personally, I set up this Yelp account because I wanted to give Ed a fair feedback. Yes, you do need some patience for his service. This is an one-man business. It does take time for him to evaluate, research, organize his orders, drive to the suppliers to pick up materials, and travel from client to client to complete his projects. If you are looking for a high quality and professional contractor, Ed is one of the best. Thank you, Ed!!!

Ed got the "mother" cactus plant out!!

I KNOW there are several…read moremembers/homeowners using Mynor for their property and like myself, was taken by Mynor's cooperative, humorous, bigger than life personality. I also believed he was an honest businessman, and welcomed him weekly for landscaping, gutter cleaning, etc. Last spring, during the awful COVID 19-NY devastation, and selling my house in Port, I leaned on my neighbors and community to assist in the daunting tasks of donating/selling the contents of my house as I was downsizing and moving to the west coast! One day while I was attempting to arrange the inventory for sale on my retaining wall Mynor and an employee of his began "sizing up" the goods! Mynor, with his big smile and Spanish communication with tongue in cheek, began fast talking me to sell my two very expensive bicycles which was fine as I understood that he was buying for his employees. As he removed the bikes from my garage wall he fast talked his way into offering $100 for both of them as he instructed his employee to put them in his truck! Without a minute to "negotiate" with him, he removed a miniature refrigerator from my house after he asked if I had one to sell. Again, he instructed his employee to place it into his truck without even deciding on a price. You ask me what was I doing while Mynor emptied out my TOOL BOX of all the necessary tools I would have gone through first!! This continued until Mynor had removed from my garage, every gardening tool; rakes, hoes, spades, etc. Where was I? While managing people in front of my house, directing traffic for the walkers, all the while interacting with Mynor for a second here and there while he emptied out my garage and yard items INCLUDING taking the two bike helmets without asking first OR making an offer. When he was finished with the yard work and cleaning my gutters (which he damaged one of and it continually dripped water down to my covered deck), he told me what I owed him. He so generously deducted $100 from my bill and sped off into the night! Realizing what he had done to me the next morning, (I am a single senior and have always paid Mynor the day of his work as he always requested) I phoned him and told him I wanted my refrigerator returned. He conveniently explained that it had leaked in his truck therefore he threw it out! Sure. I said nothing at all regarding his slick moves with basically stealing my things. Mynor never finished mowing my lawn for the remainder of my living there which we had agreed to. He lied every time I would contact him asking why he was letting my grass to grow so tall and his answers were always with his "funny" jokes in Spanish and full on empty promises about my lawn needing so much work! I never spoke or saw Mynor after the day he took advantage of me. I trusted Mynor totally whenever he would quote me a price for work. When he found out I was in need of having my house power washed...Mynor willingly and a me told me he could beat everyone's prices. He quoted me $1500. I finally got wise to him and hired a well known power washing company that was fantastic for $500. It has taken me this long to report my experiences with Mynor Ramos and only hope this helps any prospective customers of his to beware and be cautious. He came highly recommended by someone on the PW Moms & Dads facebook page who often recommends him to others. '

Prompt followup, prompt responses, no pressure. If it was in my budget, I really would have given them a chance on their professionalism alone. I didn't have to 'chase' responses. They came timely. Not overwhelming. They have a very comprehensive price breakdown and payment schedule, so payment isn't all upfront but in increments as the job is completed. Even declining they remained professional. Thank you again Jesus for your patience! I wish you and your company success for the excellent customer service.

Krystal, Jesus, and all their staff really provide professional, quality service and care for our yard and irrigation needs. We initially got started with them for a total clear out and clean up of our existing landscape and ended up sticking with them for weekly maintenance services and little projects here and there and have never looked back! Anytime there are issues, they are on it!! Today was another example - I asked Steve if he would just check up on my back sprinklers bc I noticed they didn't run Monday and when he did, he found a HUGE leak in one of our main irrigation pipes! Our house is kind of old and starting to need a lot of repairs so I wasn't completely surprised but the leak was pretty big. We had to turn off all the water to the house and wait for them to get one of their irrigation and plumbing experts over. Richard showed up almost immediately and had us all cleaned up and back in business in no time!! He even hung around to make sure all the leaking stopped etc. I was blown away - I figured I'd need to call a plumber and go through all that nightmare but no!! Grow Control took such good care of us! And this is the level of care and service we've received since day one! They're so fantastic- really takes a load of stress off my mind. They're caring, reliable, excellent at what they do, and very reasonably priced. We're still planning on completely redoing our yard - switching to all native plants - and when we do, it'll be the Grow Control team we trust for sure! THANK YOU everyone at Grow Control for all the years of TLC in our yard!

He offered suggestions without being pushy and helped me visualize the potential of my project. Jason provided his estimate the following day as promised. He was proactive in looking for ways we could descope my project to fit within my budget. He made himself available to discuss modifications over the phone, and responded to my texts and emails promptly. I ultimately went an different direction with my hardscaping, but would consider Flores Artscape for any future full-service landscaping company in a heartbeat. I highly recommend them!

I found them on Yelp and chose them after getting four other quotes. From the beginning, they stood out for their professionalism, responsiveness, detailed proposal, and fair pricing. Ale was fantastic to work with. She was quick to respond, answered all my questions, and made what could have been a stressful project feel smooth and well organized. Once construction started, Jonathan and his team were excellent. They arrive promptly each day and cleanup well. Jonathan is knowledgeable, professional, and clearly takes pride in his work. What stood out most was his communication and transparency. He provided daily updates, either by text or in person, walking me through the progress and explaining what was coming next, which gave me a lot of confidence throughout the project. I also really appreciated his fantastic customer service and follow-through. For example, the game light I purchased arrived broken from the manufacturer, and Jonathan came back promptly after the project was finished to install the replacement once it arrived. The entire project took about a week, and the final result exceeded my expectations. The court and surrounding landscaping look amazing, drain properly, and have completely transformed our backyard. Seeing my son excited to play on it every day makes it even more worth it. I highly recommend Herencia Landscaping to anyone looking for high-quality, reliable, and professional outdoor work. What impressed me most about them was when I told them what I wanted, they gave me ideas based on their expertise. While I've researched the needs, I'm not a pro and I felt like they listened to the project needs and offered insight to deliver the best result. Jonathan gave me his recommendation and their bid was extremely reasonable. The team came out and got the work done in 2 days. They were sweet people and the work was outstanding. They also left the worksite clean, which seems like a given but seems like a rarity nowadays. I would absolutely hire Herencia again for future projects.
