My friend rented a motorcycle from Midwest and told me the odometer wasnt working while we were riding. Why is that a big deal you might ask? They sell these bikes also. So if they rent them they put miles on them. however if the odometer isnt working the bike you thought had low miles on it might not have the original miles on it when you go to purchase it. Spoke to Ted first on Facebook about a bike they had. 1999 Honda Shadow Spirit 1100. Looked pretty good for its age and not a bad price. Called him up on a random day to ask about it. Kept everything straight with me, said it was still there. I am located a little more than an hour away. He said when I decide to come check it out to call first as he did not want me to waste my time driving that far if it wasn't there. GREAT SERVICE with them. Alway upfront and always said stay within your budget. Did not try to pressure me into buying something that was more money. Did not try to get my to finance something if I didn't want to. Overall great time and experience. Even took it to the back and to make sure everything was good and ordered the few parts it needs to be 100%. I recently sold my bike through Midwest. It was a wonderful experience! I am out of town and traveling the US. I was moving a lot and got tired of loading and unloading my motorcycle into my Toy Hauler travel trailer. So, I decided to sell my bike and buy another one when I am doing less traveling. So, while traveling close to Daytona, I took a drive to speak with Midwest. I described my bike to them and they looked it up online. They asked me how much I wanted for the bike and agreed to take the bike in on consignment. Within three weeks I got a check in the mail for my full asking price. The whole experience from start to finish was very professional and rewarding. Very nice people to deal with. Next time, I am interested in selling or buying a bike, I'll call them first. read more

They owe my wife $4000 for her motorcycle that they sold in December 2024 . They took a trade in against the sale which they stated if not sold in 2 weeks they would cover the money owed . very poor customer service , owner won't answer my phone calls and book keeper sends rude email to my wife , they have me blocked on social media and now they threatning our biker friends to stop posting comments about them. They rent crap! First day rented a bike had to take it back immediately ...wouldn't run they gave us a different bike. Another piece of crap!!! We take off for a beautiful ride across town go figure,The second bike breaks down and we have to wait Two hours for someone to come pick us up! Then they want to chastise me because I left Daytona on the bike...I guess they expect you just to scoot across Daytona like some novice!Totally ruined my second day of bike week....., rent at your own risk! For the prices you pay you would think it would be a dependable bike ..not so much! Every time the bike had to be returned for a different bike they were rude and obnoxious as if their junk was our fault. I would be very apprehensive to even take a bike for repair there it was obvious the second bike they brought us belong to someone, it was not a renter it had personal belongings in it. This was the second year we rented from them hoping it would be a better experience than the first time. The owner made us feel as if he would take care of everything since we were returning customers. Obviously switch and bait! Horrible customer service when we check the bike in after our rental was up there was no compensation for all of their failures. I was looking for a part all day and finally found it at Heavy's place. Unfortunately he was already closed and walking out the door. We went back in and found the part. I bought a motorcycle on line from them. I asked them to cherry it out. 2k more for new tires, chrome, touch up paint. All fluids changed when the bike arrived 3 months later, it had old tires on it, rust everywhere, and didn't stay running when I drove it. my mechanic said the rust was so bad he thought it was caught in a tropical storm and u detested for a while. Though the bikes paint had very little rust, mechanically it had to be totally rebuilt. Belt and timing chain was lose. Fluids had never been changed. A couple little chrome parts they replaced. Have I mentioned rust. EVERYWHERE!! One of the bags was lost. The latches we're supposed to be replaced but weren't and had no keys. Today I donated my 08 Thunder Mountain Harley to a non profit charity. I couldn't sell it. I had $12.5k into it. I couldn't ride it because it needs a new computer and more. A total loss. OK let's see, bike week 2021. Stator went on my bike. Called, spoke with '' Heavy''. Owner? Manger? Don't know. He told me to bring it in and he (his crew) would check it out. Great! That was Tues morning. They called me back said that they needed to order a couple parts, will overnight them. Told me bike will be ready around 2pm. Now Wednesday. Called to see what's up around 3pm. Was told the parts were in and bike would be ready around 5pm. Called back at 5:30 pm to once again see what's up. Was told to stop calling it"s not going to make it go any faster. Yikes! They called me back and told me it won't be ready until tomorrow morning. (Thursday now). Called Thursday morning , still not ready. I told him I was leaving Friday morning to go back home. Didn't get my bike until 7:30pm. My bike was in this shop for 3 full days, parts were in on Wednesday am and didn't get my bike till Thursday and was charged for only 3.5 hrs. labor. If he had been honest with me instead of taking on to much at once I would have taken it to Harley 5 miles up the road. Poorest customer service I have ever had to deal with. read more

Midwest gave us the best motorcycle rental experience ever. I called on a Monday morning looking for a rental. They informed me they weren't open however, if I wanted to come by and rent a bike, they would be available and able to come in long enough to make a deal and be glad to do so. My girlfriend and I sat down, talked with Ed and rode off on a nice shiny Road King. Pricing is more than fair and competitive. The staff is professional, helpful, friendly, and polite. There were absolutely no problems with the bike and we will definitely come back for future rentals every time we return to Daytona. You've got to stop by on your next trip and saddle up. read more

DO NOT RENT A MOTORCYCLE FROM THESE CON-ARTIST! We rented a bike for Daytona Bike Week. Our scheduled day to return it was Wednesday. Little did we know the the store isn't even open on Wednesday! So we kept calling the number and finally the gentleman we rented it from answered. He said to return it out front and drop the keys at the fishin store next door. We asked to meet him there at 10:00 be he said no it will be fine he does this all the time! Why would you have a return available for a day you are not even open? So we did as he said. On our way to the airport the next day, we stopped and asked if everything was okay, and he said it was. The next day, he called saying the keys were never return and the bike had all of this damage to it! He then charged our card for 1,200.00!!. We are contacting the police and filing a report, but save yourself the troubles and stay away from this place! read more

I rented a Road King for three days from MM. The shop was helpful when I rented, provided plenty of info and guidance and had a great range of cool rentals. The owners are there and were friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a Harley or a scooter they have pretty anything you could want. They helped me get a cab from the hotel to pick up and so forth. The bike was great and I had no problem. I had never rented a motorcycle before so was a bit nervous about that process and they answered all my questions and got me riding in Daytona in about 20 minutes. They have a parking lot and the shop is just off the Main street bridge. They had a 24 hour support line but I didn't have any problems. Check it out when you are in the area. Thanks guys.
