The Entire staff made my stay very pleasant and very welcoming. I was treated with respect, dignity, along with great professionalism and tender loving care. The atmosphere was warm and caring. My needs were meet in a timely manner when possible (they have a lot of residents who have greater medical issues that require more time). They also didn't forget to follow up with whatever request I had. The Administrative Team were compliant to my needs and assisted me to the best of their ability. The Social Service Dept was phenomenal.The Nurses and CNAs that service the Medicare section where I was were so outstanding. There wasn't a bad apple in the bunch. The DNP & the ADNP were wonderful and ensured that my stay was comfortable. Housekeeping and Maintenance were wonderful and the Doctors had great bedside manners. My overall personal opinion was that I didn't want to leave because of the Love that I was shown. The Restorative Manager and the three staff personnel that worked with me were awesome. The Dietary Food Dept provided very good customer service. If they had something available to replace what they were serving, they didn't mind exchanging it for me, and they did it with a smile. There are so many people that I personal would like to thank because of their kindness toward me, but I wouldn't want to miss anyone. They all did an exceptional job. From my experience, I would recommend this Nursing Rehab Facility. The South Holland Manor really rocks. *On a sidebar, they can improve on the meals selections...lol *Physical Therapy/Rehab needs improvement. I have suggestions for them which I will not comment on.

For starters, she fell causing head trauma yet no one felt the need to send her out for CT scan for possible bleed. The second incident involved a broken limb and head trauma again (with weeks of the first fall). Really! This place is absolutely the worst healthcare facility! The DON's leadership potentials - less just say...she has none! What's shocking...it sits in a community highly populated aging community yet no one thinks it important to wedge complaints or; does the State not care!! I have made complaints to the State in hopes the problem of caring for our elderly will be fixed. As one reviewer mentioned, I'm sure there are good individuals working there but; they are over shallowed by the bad ones! The social worker is a joke! Multiple messages went without a response!

Sent to Athletico, Lansing, by sports med doc, for chronic low/mid back pain and muscle imbalances…read more Just completed my 8th session with STEPHANIE WASHINGTON, and I am not kidding when I tell you this woman fixed me!!!! By correcting my posture, and targeting weak muscle groups, the hand-tailored routine she created for me really did the trick! By continuing the exercises at home, I am stronger, more balanced, and most importantly, PAIN-FREE! Rest of the staff are pleasant, and seem to jibe well together, creating an all together pleasant atmosphere. Kim at the front desk is welcoming and efficient. Michael, the "assistant" for lack of a better word, is people-oriented and on task when it comes to cleaning and other job requirements (as was the young lady in that position today, whose name I did not catch). The music is pleasant. Place is small but never overcrowded. 2 nice bathrooms, and a water station so you can wet your whistle between reps. Can NOT recommend this place enough, especially my incredible therapist, my sensei, Ms. Stephanie.

From the time I started therapy, Justin guided me step-by-step through strengthening exercises and techniques that helped me to achieve full active motion in my right hip. He developed a personalized therapy plan for me which included, picture diagrams and demonstrated practical physical examples for me to safely follow at home and at the Athletico site. All my therapy was focused on eliminating pain and reducing the risk of any future injury. Not only did Justin provide me with excellent physical therapy, but the other Physical Therapy Clinicians, Carolina, Kristine, Yolanda, and other staff, Kim (Administrator), Danny (Assistant) were always friendly, encouraging, and inspired me to achieve my physical therapy goals. The administration, facility doctor, and admissions coordinator's priority is Money....period! The director of nursing is completely incompetent. Some CNAs are Rude AF, and theft of belongings is common. When I witnessed a female CNA 'man handle' a frail child-sized elderly woman (to put her in bed), that was the last straw. I transferred my mother out as soon as I could. And even then, the admissions coord. had not advised the social worker (whose desk is 2 feet away) of Mom's impending transfer, and neither had notified Mom's nurse who could have had Mom, medications, and paperwork ready, instead of having to discharge Mom (a timely procedure) while admitting three other patients. Not This Place for anyone you care about.

With all these different nurses and dozens of new staff members were constantly late sometimes for hours (try to go to work on time when they are late or don't even show, and you can't) . FATOKI] The mandatory weekly counseling was an utter joke and a complete waste of time, and dont get comfotable with them, because there have been several turn overs in that department too. THEY DON'T CARE FOR WHITE COLORED PEOPLE & MAKE YOU PAY ONLY IN CASH, AND THEY DON'T USE GOV. FUNDS TO HELP US.
