Stopped here for a quick drink before dinner and couldn't resist ordering appetizers as well when I saw food coming out to other tables. We had the empanadas that were simply amazing. They melt right in your mouth. We also had guacamole. It was so delicious that we ended up ordering another serving. The drinks were not only super cute, but they tasted absolutely amazing. Overall BAD experience. Water glasses were not clean. There was crusty white residue plastered within the glass' textured surface. We had to ask multiple times for our silverware after food was delivered. Our "server" only appeared to take the order and bring the bill. The restroom didn't have warm water and there were no paper towels in the dispenser. There was a dangerous unmarked step down at the exit to the patio. An elderly lady fell off the unmarked step and hit her head on a chair while we were dining. The staff just helped get her off the floor and got her out quickly, without seeming to make sure she was okay. She was also alone. Never going here again! read more

Do not come here for Valentines Day..We had reservations at 10:30 and were not seated until past 11:30. We didn't know that their Valentine's Day menu was the only option for the night either. We got the surf and turf option that came with an appetizer of choice which we chose chicharrón and came with a dessert and chose the tres leches. They said the entree was big enough for 2 yet the plate had about 5 pieces of potato, 5 shrimp with a 12oz ribeye. Total was set to $180 yet if you order all the above on a normal day that's $87. Miel De Agave is an amazing Mexican food spot! High quality dishes with mouth watering flavors. I went with my mom for dinner and we got the tacos dorados- which were so crispy and delicious, definitely recommend. For our main dishes we ordered the green chili creamy chicken enchiladas as well as the never before risotto- the enchiladas were the best I have ever had so creamy. The risotto was very fresh and delicious with the grilled shrimp, the garlic bread was a nice touch. The server recommendations also looked so amazing, can't wait to come back and try! An unexpectedly wonderful experience! With Downtown Phoenix having so many great options, Miel De Agave stands out. From the ambience of chic upscale casual to a very accommodating staff, the dining experience is amazing. What really stands out is the food: the beans that comes with the chips and salsa is so great on its own; the elote ribs are a must have on the table; and the portions are a lot larger than I expected. The pork belly chicharron stole the show and should really be the first thing to get. As far as drinks, the menu comes curated with specialty drinks; the Carajillo came highly recommended but they were unavailable. The Blue Dream is made for gin lovers. As far as food, it's also a very authentic take with the flavors being the highlight; the corn tortillas were a hero. It is on the pricier side so prepare for that but really along with the food, the service is something to acknowledge. Marcia knew the menu well and what to recommend and if she didn't know the answer, she wasn't shy to find out. Very attentive and very informative.
