Outstanding find downtown! Excellent margaritas, great atmosphere. Mango jalapeño and the lime jalapeños margaritas were so good! Normally I find margaritas too sweet, but our server Marcia highly recommended it. Glad I tried! The infamous quesadbirria tacos were so tender and delicious. The green chili cream enchiladas with chicken were also very good. I even enjoyed the arugula salad that came with it. Marcia shared this place has live music on Fridays and Saturdays, doubling as a nightclub - looks like it would be a great place to experience. Give it a try! I was there a year ago, and decided to give it a second try. We went to celebrate my sister's birthday. They were playing music that did not go with the theme of the restaurant. It wasn't until after 10 when the DJ came out. To start off the deco is nice, definitely revamped that. The drinks are really good too. The food was okay. I didn't think it was worth it. The service wasn't great. We were overcharged and unfortunately did not notice until we got home. The waitress didn't really come often to check on us. We had to flag her down multiple times. When our food arrived, the plates were just passed around and not given to the right person. The delivery was messy. read more

My husband and I had lunch here in May 12, 2024 and it was pretty disappointing. We spent over $250 on food and drinks and it was not a lot of food or alcohol. Menu items are overpriced, service is lackluster, restaurant is dark and uninviting. It felt like a space the owners could not decide if it's a nightclub or a restaurant. We came during their advertised brunch hours only to be told that brunch was no longer being served... but while we were seated another table ordered and got brunch menu items. I hate to even say this but it felt as though the wait staff is purposely instructed to tell certain patrons only about items that are more expensive and say that's what they have available. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant due to the price, bad service, unprofessional management of available items, and a "cherry picking" culture of not serving all patrons equally. Do not spend your money with this establishment. read more

The staff here are attentive and authentic to the cuisine. I ordered the La discada skillet and elote for dinner; the elote was just a corn on a cob with some seasoning and cheese and the skillet was very soup like with extremely small pieces of meat. This place was advertised on social media so my daughter for her college graduation picked this place for her graduation dinner. The food was ok over priced and not great, My carne asada was very tough even though I asked for it to be medium rare. It s a thin cut of meat but why ask how I want the steak done if they can only do well done? The annoying thing about the evening was the intrusive professional photos (like posing in all these positions) like we were at Disneyland and the high pressure sales pitch at the end. They print them all and display them in clear plastic frames at $20 each. We purchased two pictures. Another annoyance, I was actually surprised they charged to use a credit card on a big parry ($600), and they also mentioned I can leave an additional tip on top of their mandatory 20% tip already added to the bill. Unfortunately our experience was just meh and will not be returning as there's a lot of restaurants like this in the Phoenix area. read more

DO NO NOT GO HERE!!!! I had made a reservation a week in advance at 8 pm. We got there at 7:50 and attempted to check in. 7 out of the 9 people we reserved for were present, the other 2 were outside looking for parking. The hostess refused to check us in until all 9 of us were there (they showed up 3 minutes later). I go to the hostess again and suddenly she says that they have no tables ready. We waited 40 minutes to be seated with a reservation!!!!! The food was very mediocre, the waitress looked annoyed the entire night, and she only came to check on us once! The music is so loud you will not be able to hear the person sitting directly next to you, let alone across form you! Also, in the middle of eating dinner a photographer will come up to your table and take a million pictures of everyone while they are eating. Then she'll comeback and try to sell you 1 picture for $20, as if it were an amusement park. After we paid $350 for the bill (ridiculous), we got charged an automatic 20% tip and get asked by the waitress if we want to leave even more (lol). We paid walked out and then my dad proceeds to get chased by the waitress in the parking lot. He had ordered a drink after paying, the waitress never brought it, we got up and left. She was demanding he pay for a drink he NEVER received. Also, as she is trying to scam us even more (after her HORRIFIC service), there was a fight in the parking lot with police involved. This place is a complete scam and a joke. Save your money if you would actually like to have an enjoyable dinner, because this place will certainly not do that for you. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would!!! Buckle up, because this is going to be a long review. From a reservation that meant absolutely nothing, to mediocre food, awful service, a surprise police appearance, and a waitress chasing us down for a shot we never received, this entire experience was nothing short of chaotic and unprofessional. We had a reservation at 8 PM for a party of nine. When we arrived on time, the hostess told us we could not be seated until the entire party was present, which is fine. But once everyone showed up and we returned to the stand, a different hostess told us we would have to wait another 10 to 15 minutes for our table. Why? Isn't that what a reservation is for? Instead, we stood around and ended up waiting a full 40 minutes to be seated. The food was average. Nothing stood out and it was far from worth the price. Our waitress was visibly annoyed the entire time. She barely checked on us and gave us zero energy. The music was blasting so loud we could not even hear each other talk. Tables were crammed together and we had to squeeze past strangers just to get out of our seats. My dad ordered a shot early in the dinner. It never came. Not once did the waitress check in or bring it up again. So when the bill came and the shot was not on it, we figured it was forgotten and moved on. He paid. We got up to leave. Then, as we were literally walking out, a fight broke out right outside the restaurant. Police showed up. People were yelling. Sirens. Chaos. And in the middle of all that, our waitress runs outside and confronts my dad, while the police are actively dealing with a fight, to demand he pay for a shot he never received. She had no shame. She didn't say sorry. She didn't ask if there was a mistake. She straight up said, "You need to pay for that shot." When my dad calmly explained he never got it, she told him he could go back inside and take it. As if that made any sense. My dad was furious but still paid for the shot just to get her out of his face and avoid further drama in what was already a tense situation. And here is the worst part. The restaurant automatically charges a 20 percent tip. Even after giving horrible service, our waitress had the audacity to ask for more. The bill was already overpriced for what we received and it felt like they were just squeezing money out of us at every turn. I am not even a Karen. This was one of the most unprofessional, uncomfortable restaurant experiences I have ever had. Miel de Agave was a complete disappointment. Save yourself the time and go literally anywhere else. read more

The description of this restaurant is right on - there was a very evident effort at creating a night club vibe, down to the saxophone music that was just a bit too loud to hear your dinner partner across from you. We had the elote corn rib appetizer - which was our favorite of the items we ordered. I had a margarita that was a bit lack luster, but they did have a great cocktail menu with other enticing options. My husband had the green chile enchiladas, and while the enchiladas were okay (just okay) the pile of dry arugula that accompanied them was a bit confusing. For a 26$ plate - it was meh. I had the carne asada plate, which again, for the price point, did not live up to expectations. The highlight of the dish was the house-made flour tortillas. The actual carne asada lacked flavor and was super dry. On the side was a yummy, but again confusing baby onion bulb that was tasty, but hard to cut and actually eat. There was a tiny little serving of the charro beans, in a little condiment cup. The service was just ok. We got our food in a timely manner but our server was a bit cold. The water glasses were tiny - and we would only get one of our glasses refilled at a time. All in all, we were disappointed as the concept had great promise - but the overall experience did not match up to the price point. YUM!!! As lovers of Mexican and Central American food this menu had us really excited...especially cause we don't eat meat and it seemed like we would have several interesting options. We started with cocktails. I had La Miel and and my partner had the Callejon del Beso. Very tasty but they took quite a while to come out. They were pretty busy at the bar so it was understandable. Then we decided to order three appetizers, as they were all vegetarian friendly and sounded really good! We ordered "I Love Guacamole" the Mexico City Elote and the Empanaditas de Huitlacoche. The guac, although pretty basic was very flavourful and the chips were fresh and crispy. The real show stoppers were the elote and the empanaditas!! Like so much so that we ordered a second elote and got too excited to take a pic of the empanaditas. Lol They're both a MUST order! The appetizers were so good that we didn't ever order a main. I usually wouldn't have ordered a dessert but my partner has a thing for fried ice cream and this one did not disappoint! It was delicious and drizzled with fresh caramel. The back patio was the perfect setting for such a great meal and our waiter, Alejandro, was great, despite being very busy. All in all it was a great evening. read more
