I have been here a handful of times whether it was on a whim, to meet with friends, trivia, or for my birthday party. The space is large with two outdoor spaces and a private event space, too. There's even a coffee shop in the back left corner of the brewery that makes a large assortment of beverages. They almost always have a food truck, too. I can always find a beer I want on tap and they've even started making non-beer alcohol beverages, for example their mojito beverage is so good. Like I mentioned, I hosted my 30th birthday party here which they made extremely easy to navigate. A huge plus, there's a giant parking lot.

Staff is super casual and friendly. Learned that on Sundays, beer can't be served until 1pm, but there are lots of coffee options. The menu is eclectic and has both typical bar food (the pretzel comes with 2) and other cuisines. I got the fish tacos and my friends got the smash burger, salad and chips & queso. The kids menu is also solid - hotdog and mac n cheese went over well.

I always say yesss to beer Nothing like that first sip of cold beer after a lovely hike through a nearby trail. Mighty Squirrel is a great brewery & a local gem. Great space, both indoor & outdoor. Plan on a food truck of some kind being there. Also, great service paired with a wonderful selection of beer. So come, stay a while, grab a couple beers & don't be like me and get absolutely smoked at a game of Jenga.

We had very good beers; warm, soft pretzels; and basically unlimited samples at Mighty Squirrel. The Pilsner and sours here are really interesting. Definitely go with the pretzels too - these were basically perfect complements to the beers we had. I liked that they offered 7 oz (and 16 oz) portions, because smaller portions mean less guilt.

Great space!! Lots of room to spread out and enjoy some really good beer! They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and lots of beers to choose from so you are sure to find something you enjoy. They also have small bites but usually have a food truck as well

Stopped by for an impromptu lunch with my Lovely after a doctors appt in Waltham. Taqueria Mariana taco trailer on site. WOW tacos & a quesadilla to eat with tasty Cloud Candy to wash it down.

Mighty Squirrel in Waltham is one of my favorite breweries in the Boston area! The indoor area is huge and outdoor space is great for dogs! So many options for beers on tap from IPAs to Sours to Stouts. My favorite is the seasonal Costume Contest Milk Stout and my boyfriend loves the classic Cloud Candy IPA. They also have a ton of board games, a coffee bar, and rotating food trucks (on Sunday there was a Grilled Cheese truck). Staff is so friendly and quick!

The vibe is perfect for a brewery!

Food trucks and good beer, albeit a little IPA heavy. They sell small pours so you can try many varieties!

Loving the sunny patio. The chill vibe feels much more Austin than Boston;) Also has a Burlington VT feel.

Are dogs allowed inside during this heat?

Sorry, with the new guidelines, dogs are only allowed on our Patios. Thanks

Does Mighty Squirrel allow well-behaved dogs inside?

Hi! We LOVE dogs! They are always welcome on our two large size patios (1600 sq ft and 800 sq ft). However, because of Department of Health’s food safety concerns, we don’t…

The day I went there was a band playing and there was special ticketed event that forced us to leave (no big deal as we had more than enough time). The space is huge, however compartmentalized, and there's plenty of outdoor seating. Because of its warehouse size and no sound proofing when the band was playing it was incredibly loud with tons of reverberation. The mezzanine is adults only which is helpful as it's right next door to an indoor sports facility and there is no shortage of kids here. Pizza was decent, cooked correctly and really hit the spot after a couple of beers. They utilize an "order at the bar and get a text when your food is ready" system. You then go up to the open air kitchen area and get your food. The beers are serviceable by today's standards with the porter being my favorite. The lagers were also pretty good. Like most folks on Yelp I was surprised by the mandatory 20% gratuity (almost $2 per beer). As someone that ordinarily tips 20-25% in a sit down restaurant I'm a little confused as to how in a place where you order at the counter, pick up your own food and bus your own table the 20% is earned? These situations usually get 10% gratuity from me since I'm doing more than 50% of the work.

Serving a decent variety of brews and offering pizza and other light fare for food makes this a perfect hangout spot and they show a strong dedication to the community. Staff were friendly overall. The misses though would be missing the arugula on the pizza and nothing was said if they ran out or an offered alternative. The beer is also pricy for what it is.... They have good concepts but the taste or execution falls flat for the two I tried. It was also$10 or more per beer (after beer and automatic 20% tip on all food and drink), and these were 13 oz pours were the full size.

Both of us got combo platters with, between us, had a variation of wings, ribs, pulled pork, cole slaw, mashed potatoes and fries. I am guessing this restaurant is trying to make things "their own" by going an non-traditional route with some things and I'm usually fine with that - if I know it in advance. Cole slaw, while it had good flavor, was very heavy on the mayo and contained very large pieces of onion which is not common. I know far too many that don't like onions and this would have been an unpleasant surprise. The mashed had a good flavor as well (but woah, a TINY side that was the same portion as the cole slaw) but it had a spice to it in there - no clue what it was but, again, would have been a huge no to folks like my mother, my kids, etc. Onto the meats. They were OK but so dry if you don't opt to add in some of the sauces. The sauce offerings seemed a little different to us so we went with the "Classic BBQ" and frankly, we both hated it. It seems to have a "Hunts tomato sauce" base. That's exactly what it tasted like. Hunts tomato sauce. I wish I knew it was a tomato sauce base (or tasted like it) because it's very thin and heavy on the tomato flavor. Since we didn't like the sauce, our meats were SO dry b/c they had no sauce on them. Anywho - someone next to us ordered a sirloin, I believe, it looked great. Maybe we just went for the wrong thing. But I could not get that BBQ taste out of my mouth all night. Two 2 meat combos (with $1 upcharge for ribs), one appetizer (queso), a diet soda and 2 Bud Lights ($10 ea!) came to just over $90 before gratuity. We came here while crushing some time while our older son was at an activity and we have to repeat this in a couple of weeks. We will not be back here... we'll have to find another place to spend some time and have dinner. Again, service was TOP NOTCH - no complaints about service. But the food left a lot to be desired. We had higher expectations for sure.
