Went to the TapHouse for trivia night. Food was good but experience was just okay. Trivia took too long and was difficult to hear. But my issue with them and the reason for the low ranking is not food or atmosphere. They charged us a 6.5% " administrative fee" on our bill. When we asked what that was, we were told it went towards the kitchen staff and dishwashers. What??? Do they pay their kitchen staff so little that they have to charge their diners extra? I have years of restaurant experience and I am appalled that this establishment charges their customers this fee. Will never return. read more

We went here late afternoon before it got busy and picked a picnic table with an umbrella to shade us from the sun. There was plenty of free parking. More people showed up, families and couples. You can also go fruit picking (peaches were available). At 4:30 we walked up to the building window to order drinks (hard cider, beer, wine, and non alcoholic beverages). I came here for the farm stand, specifically the apple cider donuts and they did not disappoint. Coming here on a Saturday afternoon was a bit difficult for parking, but luckily someone was leaving and we grabbed their spot. The market is small with a few tables outside for eating. I got the infamous apple cider ice cream donut and was impressed with it all. A bit on the pricey side, and I expected the donut might be hard because it's frozen, but the texture actually works out. The cinnamon sugar gets all over the table when you're eating, but the flavors work nicely together with the cold creamy ice cream. I also picked up a bag of 3 cider donuts and honey sticks to enjoy later. Such a cute fall spot! They've really expanded over the years-- it's great to see. There's plenty of parking so that's no issue which is a major plus at these kind of places. They've got a market, kids play area, pumpkin patches, lots of photo ops, apple picking, a goat farm, and an entire taproom and takeout food option if you wanted to sip on something and grab a bite. I got the caprese sandwich and it was delicious. My friend and I both got the rose cider too and she went to the market to see if there were cans of it she could take home! You can't walk around the apple orchard without getting a bag that's $33 per person. I've gone by for years and finally decided to stop by. It was too early for apples but not for their smash burger: American cheese , dilll pickle right out of the jar and red pepper onion. They have plenty of seating, ready for the rush during apple picking season although it is open year round. I was not sure what I was going to get so I ordered their version of a cheeseburger, the smash burger. It was surprisingly delicious. I only wish it was served with some fries or chips. It was served with one side which happened to be coleslaw in this case. I would like to try some of the bbq items on their menu so I will have to return. I came to this cidery for the first time and it was adorable! Our waitress Mary was wonderful! I ordered a cider flight of the Farmhouse, First American-Cherry Hard Cider, Winter Wonder, and the Bog Juice. All were good but the Winter Wonder was my favorite. It had a gingerbread spice in it. Lookout Farm is very accommodating for gluten allergies and they label their menu which is great. I had the nachos as an appetizer and the pulled pork sandwich for a meal with a gluten free bun. My family had the baby back ribs (half rack) and the brisket which also looked delicious. There is tons of seating and the inside is cute! We came in the winter. We went apple picking and while yes it is expensive for a bag, I feel like that's expected. The place is huge so there was a lot of walking. I think this is nice because then it's not so crowded. If you don't like that, maybe you should stick to buying apples at the store. The playgrounds seemed to be a huge hit with the kids, and they have drinks and snacks available there too. Also went to the taproom. It was busy but I thought the service and food were very good. I got the smash burger and loved it. I tried my friends chicken and waffles and it was delicious. Reviewing the Taproom/Brewery: 3 and 3/4 stars. Went to hear music and have some BBQ except there ended up being no music despite the website saying there was. You order and pay with a QR code outside (not sure about inside) and the food came reasonably quick for a Saturday night. We had pulled pork sandwich w French fries as a side, and a brisket plate w mac and cheese and cornbread as sides. The mac and cheese was pasta in a soupy cheese sauce (would avoid) and the rest of the food was decent. Had one of their IPAs which was good. There were lots of young kids running around but there were also tables with just adults. If you want to sit outside and you want BBQ type food it is a decent option. read more

We took our granddaughter here and was shocked that in order to take her to the playground, each of us had to pay $10. Because there were five of us in the party and only one child, it cost us $50 to go to a playground. If we wanted to get apples it was $25 each. We never went in that section and ended up just buying a pumpkin at the store. We asked if we could take a picture in a pumpkin patch but because we didn't pay for that section they wouldn't let us go over to the wooden signs to take a picture. This review is the Lookout Farm Taproom. The Taproom has been a consistent and delicious dinner and brunch option in Natick over the last few years. The food has been awesome for a while, but over the last couple years the food has steadily improved to a fantastic level. Great sandwiches, burgers, tenders, ramen, BBQ, and specials. The chef at Lookout Taproom is always adding delicious specials that have really hit the spot. The current special (April, 2025), the cheesteak, was top notch. Also, the cider donut bread pudding (think undercooked donut) with homemade ice cream may be one of best desserts we have had in recent history - incredible. The taproom is always great with welcoming kids and families, and the live music on the weekends really makes for a fun night out. Waitstaff and service is always GREAT as well. read more

First there was poor signage to find the apple picking, then they charged $39.00 for the bag to pick the apples which basically fit about 8 apples, but worst of all, if you're an adult accompanying anyone you must buy a bag to get in! So, my partner was not going to pick apples just walk along with us and they said he could not go in without buying a bag!! Seriously. A cute farm that has both PYO fruit and a restaurant/brewery. It's a place that has something for everyone! I went on a Monday and it wasn't too busy. Make sure to book your reservations online prior to arriving because you save $5 per person for entry for PYO fruits (it includes the fruit picking bag too) $33/pp with the $5 discount. The farm is well organized with signs and staff to direct you to the PYO fruits that are available for picking. The walk throughout the orchard is nice too as you walk under the grapevine which provide shade on a sunny day. The only negative is the bag that comes with your reservations is TINY. it says it's a 5.5lb bag but I was able to fit about 10 med/lg peaches comfortably in the bag. read more

Very disappointing. It was $25 to enter ages 3 and up. No Senior discount. The bags they give you to fill with fruit were so small. I felt as though I paid $75 for fruit. There was only a medium sized playground for the children. Nothing else for them. Having never been there we did not know we would have to walk a mile to pick the fruit and then a mile back. I clocked it. No one advised that we might want to take a carriage nor did they tell us how far we would be walking. This place came highly recommend, and after going there once, I can see why. There are so many different kinds of apples to pick. I love how they section off certain rows so people who come in later weeks have fruit to pick off the trees. I was a huge fan of the Asian pears, so juicy and delicious. We also got a chance to eat at the brewery, I got the soft pretzel and a pumpkin hard cider. The cider was amazing. It has the perfect level of sweetness that wasn't too overwhelming. The pretzel was smaller that I would have liked but the cheese sauce combo was amazing. You can order at your table using the QR code so it really is super easy. Only downside is that to pick apples it is expensive. Each table has a specific QR code to order via Toast which was very convenient. The staff was quick and friendly. The food was good for what you would expect for an outdoor picnic, I ordered the pulled pork sandwich ($14) and Farmhouse hard cider ($8.50). If you plan to pick fruit, it's best to pre-pay for your picking bag on the website ($20). I think this is steep, would have been nice if two adults can only buy one. The way the orchard is setup is very organized and it's nice they have a grapevine price some shade at the end. Each fruit had about 4-5 rows open, would have been nice if they opened more once the rows were exhausted. We were able to fill out bags so don't get discouraged. Overall it's a good time. read more

Hadn't been here since covid times when it was in a big green room and reservations were a must. I still used the service to book for friday night dinner. I didn't know there was live music and luckily sat at the other end of it. our server was a bit inattentive and when asked of a utensil was never acknowledged. Cider was good - got the rose one. And the smoked tofu portobello sandwich was good, but too much jam and very messy. Was not provided enough napkins or wet wipes. Same with agave chili wings, very good, very sticky. Lookout farm is a solid 3/5 - not fantastic, not horrible, but good! Anytime I have visited, the food and drinks and service have been lovely (and the best apple cider donuts I have ever had!!!). A cute greenhouse area, nice outdoor seating and plenty of space. I was disappointed when going to visit today that you are expected to pay $38/person ($33/person) for entry to the orchard and pick your own experience. Inflation is real, and this is a family owned business, but this was a pretty steep price point, especially when it applies to anyone over 4 years old. I went here yesterday with friends for the first time and we did have so much fun... but I think it was because we ourselves made the best of it. First driving into the farm there is limited parking for such a busy season. There wasn't people really directing to park which would have been nice. Maybe time slot entries would be easy for guests to filter in and out easily. The prices were very expensive for most of my friends being grad students. You are more paying for an entrance fee not for the apples itself. Online it was $33 but I believe in person it was $38. This fee includes a few things and the bag. Even two of my friends lived together and wanted one bag of apples and not pay the fee, but we were told everyone has to pay and so they both had to have 2 bags. We hoped it would just be you pay for how much apples you get but it doesn't work that way. There is also a fee for buying food. When you arrive to a table and order from the QR code, there is also an additional fee for service I believe. It's not a tip option is an additional added on fee. Just ordering food is expensive. Also maybe come earlier for cider donuts! It's quite a walk for some good apples. I mean maybe they'll open more paths , but we really didn't find good apples until the end which were the Honey Crisps. read more

Heed the recent reviews and AVOID! I went here with my parents for a Fathers' Day lunch, and was utterly embarrassed at the food we received. If we didn't have small hungry children with us, we would have tossed the food and left. We've been here many times over the past few years, but something has changed in 2024. The food was never stellar, but now it's basically the worst snack bar food you can imagine, but at 5x the cost. In summary: Feeding Trough, Environmental Disaster, & Just 'OK' (but super heavy) food. You know, I'm rarely moved to write a bad review--would rather write positive ones--but this place rubbed me the wrong way on a number of levels. Went with a few friends for their brunch in the Greenhouse to check it out. The person at the front lackadaisically leads you to a table, doesn't explain anything. The entire greenhouse looks a bit grimy. Pieces of food and wrappers littered around some tables on the crushed gravel ground. Actually no greenery--the place is bare, save for some old small christmas trees. The 'dining' is completely hands-off, as if one is sitting in one's own house or apt. There's a QR Code taped to the tabletop, and one discovers one is supposed to order everything through the Toast Takeout Food App, as if one were ordering delivery. When you get on the App's page, it says you need an account to use it. You actually don't, can just click through, but no one has explained, and you have to find someone to ask. No way to customize food items, ask for anything particular (like, for instance, adding two eggs). The only 'water' option is your run-of-the-mill drugstore bottle of Poland Spring for $3.50... Later, by looking around a while, you discover a help-yourself water cooler in one corner. The brunt of the people working there are pretty apathetic & indifferent, like acquaintances hanging out in a high school parking lot. *Everything* is brought in plastic and styrofoam. Ev-er-y-thing. (See photos.) One would think that a Farm, you know, would care about the environment. But, no. It seems like they're willfully trying to destroy it. Why use silverware and china--man, that, like, takes time to wash; and "time is money"--or even paper plates or biodegradable containers--man, that, like, is harder to order--when you can just create the equivalent of a plastic-filled landfill every day. The coffee cups are styrofoam. Who uses styrofoam anymore. During the meal, noticed one person apparently cleaning by walking around with a rake and raking some food pieces and errant plastics underneath the gravel. The food is 'just ok.' A few items were decent. But super heavy, with a processed-wheat feel, and like soaked in butter and whatever else. None of the ingredients *seemed* 'locally sourced' or 'farm fresh.' Were they using any of their own ingredients? Everything was a bit overpriced. (Even accounting for inflation.) The bathrooms are four semi-dirty port-o-potties up an incline, without any soap to wash hands after. Do these people *want* to run a Farm? Or did they inherit it and are just going through motions? Are they misguided? What's going on here? Can't speak to their other enterprises, but guessing at least some must reflect what's going on with the dining dynamic. Really want to support local businesses--but we need *responsible* businesses. read more

My two friends and I came for Sunday brunch. The setting is nice, surprisingly warm enough in the greenhouse. It is noisy with the heating fans though. The service was ok, not great. And the food was disappointing. It looked good, but tasted mediocre. Two of us had the veggie hash bowls and one had a the breakfast sandwich. We each only ate about half of our food, which is not like any of us. The vegetables in the hash were mostly different than the ones listed on the menu. They were more seasonal root veggies, which is ok, but not what I wanted or expected. The potatoes (best part) were crispy, but not plentiful unfortunately. The carrots (not listed on menu) were undercooked) and some of the other veggies were mushy. The poached eggs were overdone with hard centers, not the way poached eggs are supposed to be. The pesto sauce was good for pesto sauce, but not the right sauce for this bowl. The whole thing just missed the mark. The breakfast sandwich was underwhelming and the hash brown looked like it came from a box. When it was time to pay, the server had a device and stood over each of us as we put our credit card in. There were so many bees here than my friends couldn't even sit at the table to eat and they were all over everything. It made us rush the experience and did not make it the best time. What an amazing place for my first Boston yelp review! After a long day of unpacking in our new home, we wanted to find some place with good food, great drinks, and a cool outdoor vibe. Lookout nailed EVERY one of these. First, the outdoor dining is so perfectly well done. Plenty of parking, short walk to the entrance where you can seat yourself at one of the many available picnic tables. I loved that they had varying sized tables (in varying degrees of sun) so you can pretty much choose your own dining adventure. You place your order entirely online and your table is tagged based on the QR code - genius! Service was fast and friendly too. If the atmosphere didn't already win you over, the food and drinks will. They are a fully functioning farm, cidery (is that the term?), and brewery, so everything is SO fresh and delicious. My peach and burrata pizza was amazing, and GIGANTIC - definitely more than enough to share between two or three people! We also sampled more than a few ciders and drinks - the sunrise mimosa was a delightful update from typical Prosecco mimosas since they have cider, and the slushy was perfectly cold and refreshing on a warm July day. Every one of the cider samples was delightful as well; the jalapeño definitely had a kick but was refreshing in its own way! I feel spoiled that this amazing farm is so close to our new home, and we definitely will be visiting throughout the seasons! Well, it is just adorable here! We were looking for a space with room for social distancing and drinks for a work outing and Lookout Farm exceeded expectations. Not only did they have a TON of seating, they also provided space heaters and fantastic service. We had plenty of space to spread out while still enjoying ourselves! I tried the seasonal gingerbread cider and it was to die for. I had to stop at their little shop on my way out and purchase some to take home with me - it was that good. I had the breakfast quiche, and we shared the fried pickles and pumpkin pancakes. The breakfast quiche was very good, but the portion was a bit small compared to the other breakfast items. The fried pickles were cut into very thin noodley strands which I had never seen before. They tasted fine but I really didn't like the presentation. The pumpkin pancakes were very good, I loved the tartness of the cranberry sauce on top. I had the hot mulled cider to drink which was very good! The land is so beautiful so I can only imagine how it looks in full bloom. I loved the chicken sandwich, a little sticky but honey so I get it. Lookout farm is definitely a unique spot, unlike any other place I've been to. To start off, they were very clean and strict on COVID protocols. Each table and seat was wiped off and cleaned after each party. There was plenty of space between each of the tables and overall I felt like there was a lot of air flow. The ambience was super nice, seemed family friendly and they had these aesthetic lights hanging across the ceiling. The space was very naturally lit and overall had a great vibe. The staff all wore masks, was super nice, explained their order process and was very accommodating. Everything is ordered through your smart phone and payments were made through that as well. Then the food and drinks were brought out to you. We tried the chicken fried steak and the honey butter fried chicken sandwich. We also tried the sunset mimosas and an assortment of beers and hard ciders. Their drinks were all pretty good. The sunset mimosa was just sweet enough but not overwhelming. The butter fried chicken sandwich was crunchy and was a pretty big portion. The chicken itself was also decently juice. The chicken fried steak came with eggs which seemed super fresh and delicious and the home fries were tasty as well. The steak itself was a bit dry and a little tough that the plastic knife they give us was difficult to cut through the steak with. The prices were decent and overall I had a good experience here.
