I am obsessed with the cheese tamales! They are so good. I've had them at other locations- very good. They were not as good at this location though- sad day. I was so bummed. The masa was really soft- maybe overcooked? When I tried to eat it, the masa just fell apart. Bummer. It didn't have enough cheese inside either. The stuffing to masa ratio was way off. I left feeling disappointed. The bean and cheese burrito was better than the tamales. I didn't eat the tamales. Just at the burrito. This has never been my favorite location. I think they cut corners or just don't make it the same as other locations. Service was fine. They were quick with making the food. The restaurant was clean. Upon coming in, it was already a so so. The bathroom was dirty with paper on the floor and the trash overflowing with only 1.5 hrs of opening. Drink dispenser had many out of order. The glass on decor is dirty and the cabinets visible from the counter, inside of kitchen are falling apart due to water damage. Walls could use some cleaning too. This used to be vibrant restaurant as I've been coming since they opened this location. Just needs some TLC or it's looking more run down through the years. Service was a bit slow. Food was okay. In comparison to other Miguel's Jr, it could use some love. read more

Great location located inside Tyler galleria mall. First time visiting. Never knew this was here. On the east side entrance. when facing the mall entrance doors are just to the left of the food court entrance. Sign is visible from parking lot. Parking, EV charging stations right in front or covered parking structure a short walk away. Inside seating or outside mall patio seating available. Restrooms for customers. Service was fast and efficient. Great deals. Though when serving, staff should maybe wash their hands after cleaning before serving customers at the register. Always room for growth. First time at Miguel Jr.'s: where your taste buds do a happy dance, and your burrito does the limbo! We devoured the beef enchiladas plate and the chicken original burrito, and let me tell you, it's like a delicious flavor bomb wrapped in love... and maybe a bit of extra sauce! The enchiladas were smothered in a sauce so runny it could probably finish a 5K, and the refried beans could have slid right off the plate (but we didn't let them escape). As for the burrito? Not exactly winning any firmness contests, but hey, who needs structure when you're this tasty? Portions? Perfect. Prices? Just right. Would we go back? Absolutely. I have been to many Miguel Jr locations and this one was the worst as far as the taste of the food. I ordered a double carne asada burrito but what I received was a weird texture meat that was in between shredded beef and beef jerky. I ordered and payed for double carne asada but didn't receive double. The rice and beans were lacking that delicious Miguel Jr. flavor. They have a restaurant within the Galleria At Tyler mall. I just ordered food to go there today and it was actually quite good. Two tacos, one chicken, one beef, hard-shell, with rice and beans. The meal came with a decent sized drink as well. They were nice and separated the rice and beans from the tacos since I had about an hour drive. Thoughtful of them. The price came out to be around $11.00. I was in the mood for tacos while shopping and photographing the mall. :) nice place, very very friendly service! read more

I've ordered Miguel's for over 30 years. I know they have been slipping in food quality over past few years but today was the kicker. Ordered potatoe cheese burrito the burrito looked like it came from kids menu if it was even 4inches I'd be exaggerating. The potatoes were like drenched in salt. Beans were added and not ordered. Burrito shell was so greasy grease was dripping off. If you look at the picture of their burritos and what you got total deception. I've had burritos from them for over 30 years used to be so big and heavy but not what we had today. A shame more Miguel's they open the further they slip. The old way taco salad was even a joke the lettuce was watery had a teaspoon of beans and a teaspoon of guacamole. The plate was more chips than salad. Ok so with Miguel's. It legit depends on the time and location. I use to work at the mall and although the food wasn't consistent, it was the best thing to eat at the mall at the time. So anyway I stopped by and split a bean and cheese burrito with my mom. It was a good day. The beans tasted fresh. Salsa was good. I think the "guacamole" need some revamping though. It's missing salt, and some pepper. It just tasted like I put gooey stuff in my mouth. In conclusion, Miguel's is good, just depends on the day. read more

I am a long time Miguel's Jr customer. I have tried everything on the menu at least twice. And I frequent multiple locations with my family. However, I am always disappointed when we go to this location at the Tyler mall. We are used to the employees keeping the tables, floor, and bathrooms clean in the other restaurants. But this one is always a mess.. especially the bathrooms! As for the employees, they always seem to be playing around with each other. Half the time the food sits because only one person is up front taking orders and the person that is supposed to be calling numbers is half out of view chatting and laughing with other staff in back. Kind of disappointing, since the other locations hold everyone to a higher standard. At least that's what I see when we dine in. We come back for the food. It is delicious! read more

So extremely disappointing! Don't waste your time!! My first visit to this location. My local Miguel's JR is in Orange, off of Tustin and the food there is usually fantastic. My issue with the Tyler Mall location is that I arrived to place my order for a carne asada dinner meal to go, literally a few minutes after the doors opened. I might've been the second or third person to order. I paid for my meal and left the location. When I opened my order to eat, I noticed that the steak did not look fresh. I was so looking forward to it and it's not exactly an inexpensive item on the menu. I took a bite and that's when I realize that my steak wasn't freshly cooked but was steak that had been previously cooked and rewarmed upon my order. It was tough to chew. Super disappointing!! You have to call someone to clean the table. My wife asked for a taco salad. They forgot the tortilla strips. They served the heart of the lettuce. She had the order redone. Again no tortilla strips. The soda fountain, no self serve. You have to wait to get a refill. The men's bathroom, what a dump!!! Papers all over the floor. Whoever is doing the cleaning must be blind because you can see old dirt on the walls. I have never seen a Miguel's Jr. So messed up, and I have been eating at these restaurants for years. read more

Don't order curbside at this Miguel's. Three times I have ordered curbside and NO ONE PICKS UP THE PHONE! You have to walk in to get your food and by then it's cold. Don't offer curbside if you can't fulfill. This round we also found a hair in the food. read more

I heard mixed reviews about Miguel's Jr locations. I don't know if I just happens to have come to a mediocre location. But unfortunately there really wasn't anything satisfying about my food. This place used to be so good. Ordered online today and arrived at the time I had scheduled my food to be ready. Got back to the car and my order was wrong and the food was ice cold. The new crispy cheese taco was cold and soggy. My soft taco had barely any meat on it. Employees were ignoring customers and just standing around chatting and joking with each other. I've been coming to this Miguel's Jr. location for years ever since I was a little girl and I still love it now as an adult. My go-to has to be their Garbage Burrito, with either shredded chicken or beef, but they also have a vegetarian option that is slightly cheaper. It's definitely really filling especially for the price. Their Bean and Cheese burritos as well as their Bean, Rice, and Cheese burritos are very large and filling for the price too! The red sauce is a must! I always end up packing like 4 small containers of the sauce for my burrito. They also started selling Coffeechata lately and it's pretty bomb. A 16 oz size is only $1.50! Definitely worth it. I've been coming here like every week cuz I crave it sometimes, and honestly it's probably gonna continue that way for the rest of my summer break. Oh wellllll read more

First I would like to say that Miguel Jr.'s is one of my favorite for their food except that my last visit at this location the ambiance and the upkeep of the location has gone downhill. The staff were hanging out in corner with their visitors while playing an instrument, joking around and being loud while the tables needed some major attention. Also there were some individuals that were walking by the establishment that made a loud pitched noise and the individuals in the establishment decided to also engage themselves by making the same noise and they went back and forth couple of times. We could not really enjoy our food with the unnecessary professional behavior between the staff and their friends. Hopefully this was a onetime experience at this establishment as I enjoy stopping in after shopping. read more
