We met Mika Mitchell the summer of 2022 while looking for a house in Huntington Beach. It was the end of her showing day when my husband, myself, my daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren descended on her Open House. Literally, there was only 10 minutes left until her showing was to end. Any other agent may have cringed at seeing this rowdy group entering, but she welcomed us with a big smile. I highly recommend Mika! She is professional, thorough, personable, honest, and helpful! I live in the Seattle area and have a house in San Gabriel to sell. I was referred to Mika. Mika was willing to research my area and list my house even though she's from Huntington Beach. She made the 45 minute drive to look at my house and also went around the area to look at houses that are for sale in the area and talk to local brokers. She even called and checked to see whether or not kids living at my house, which is on the border of San Gabriel and San Marino, can attend the coveted San Marino schools. Mika did not give me a bloated recommended list price just to entice me to list with her. She gave me her honest opinion based on her research and analysis. She even found herself a Chinese translator when she discovered through talking with local brokers that the market is largely Chinese, with many buyers not being able to speak English. I talked with three different brokers and found Mika to be the most pleasant to work with. She is warm and easy to talk to. She does what she says she would do, when she says she would do it. She has excellent follow-through. I'm somewhat of a perfectionist but Mika goes even beyond my expectations in her thoroughness. To be completely transparent in this review I have to say that I did not end up using Mika as my listing agent because my aunt (who will be prepping my house for me) has a long-time friend who is a local broker. My aunt does not speak much English and her friend, who speaks fluent Mandarin and Taiwanese, will have a much easier time communicating with her, and perhaps with potential non-English-speaking Chinese buyers as well. My husband and I listed our condo with Mika and used her as our realtor to purchase a new home. This was my first time working with Mika and my husbands second. Mika gave us a ton of tips on how to improve our condo to get top dollar for it.
