I had low expectations for Asian food in PV so that may have an influence on my review. The decor here was Asian-inspired with large velvet covered seats and glass tables The dishes we had we good enough to satisfy the craving but nothing amazing. The servers here were satisfactory.

Coming from Seattle, this was underwhelming and mediocre. I did not order any sushi based on the prior reviews. The restaurant is decorated nicely and bright with cool kimonos on the wall. There's a full bar and a decent beer and wine selection. The vegetable ramen was salty and instead of chopped pieces of bok choy it looks like they use the inside baby pieces that are still yellow and not fully developed. The shrimp bao had over cooked small to medium sized pieces that maybe came from frozen instead of fresh. The bao was made out of was one could consider chewy pizza dough and rolled in cornmeal. Really odd. They could save money by making this part from scratch and freezing the dough in ready made portions. The seaweed salad was good and had a mix of seaweeds and thrown in some mung bean noodles (I'd say) which was weird. The noodle bowl was flavorful with big chunks of chicken breast. Portions were medium sized so if you came very hungry you would want some extra items at the table. For $150, two app, two entrees, and two wines, I feel it's overpriced even for a hotel restaurant given the lack of flavors. I say go into the marina for better quality and value.

This restaurant was located in our hotel and thought it would be an easy place to grab dinner on the last night of our trip. The decor was so pretty and the table seating was super comfortable. Our server Ralph was amazing! He was so attentive and kind throughout our meal. My sister and I shared the spring rolls. They weren't my favorite but for the main I ordered the teppanyaki with shrimp. The shrimp was flavorful and I opted for the fried rice of course. I had a couple pieces of my sister's avocado roll which was tasty. Overall a solid place to have a nice dinner in our hotel!

Such a great experience. Our chef Max was very entertaining. We all got our orders cooked as requested. The atmosphere was quiet and not too many people. But it was a Tuesday. I definitely recommend at least once during your stay at the PV Marriott.

This place is a must visit when in Puerto Vallarta. We have been coming here for dinner since 2018 and it never disappoints. We have been lucky to have the same server (Antonio) and chef (Jorge) each time. We just adore them and the experience they create.

So since I was staying at the Marriott Resort and Spa I decided to see what restaurants I was able to make reservations for and what type of food was available and came across Mikado. I was able to make a reservation through the concierge for same evening. I first reserved a regular table then decided to change it to Hibachi an hour later at the actual restaurant. When I showed up at 8PM for the reservation the hostess somehow forgot she just talked to me like 2 hours before and said I had a regular table but then realized she made a mistake and it was supposed to be Hibachi. I ended up getting a different table with other guests which stated at 8:45. The hostess said the cook was running late and would be there soon. The drinks were very decently priced. I had a Cadillac Margarita and had some Victoria beers. The actual Margarita was pretty good. For food I ordered Egg Rolls and a Caterpillar Roll. For dinner I had the Rib-Eye Steak and came with steamed rice. Steak was seasoned pretty good and was pretty tender. I should have added the lobster tail but maybe next time. The show itself was good. The handling skills of the knives and able to engage with the group was amazing. The cook had each one of us try and crack an egg while having it spin on the grill and throwing it up in the air with a spatula. It was pretty much a fail from all of us haha. It was very good vibes and the groups that joined were very nice. Rib Eye was 430 Pesos which came out to about 23 bucks USD. Not bad for some good food and show.

Really excellent Japanese food when you need a break from Mexican food. Be ready to spend, it's not cheap but very delicious. Located in the Marina of Puerto Vallarta. This is not our first time there and definitely not our last

We had a great night at this Hibachi grill. Our chef was entertaining, fun and attentive to our request. The food was fresh and cooked to specification. The ambiance of the restaurant was very quiet, light hearted and enjoyable. The only thing missing was our sherbet at the end of the meal. Maybe they were out. Lol!

A wonderful restaurant. We were here three years ago and liked it. We went there tonight and enjoyed it. Nice and spacious ambiance. Excellent service. Great food. Reasonable prices. It's located in the Marriott Resort where we are staying, by the beach. Also not too far away from the airport, yet not so near that the noise reaches us.

Our experience at Mikado was great that we had to go back the same week. Antonio took the time to go above and beyond. Everything we ordered was great but the Tempura and Teppanyaki were by far our favorites. We will definitely be back on our next trip to the Marina in PV

This is a must go to when at the Hotel Musai, and often it is our favorite. We do go back and forth…read morewith Dai lol...but we always go at least twice here each time we visit Puerto Vallarta. The service here is just amazing. It is very popular, they are great in getting people in quickly.... The view from most of the tables is magnificent. One year we saw a beautiful lightening storm over the water.... The sushi, food is amazing. First let me share that the rib eye with a delicious Teriyaki sauce is always a hit. We ways like the mixed shrimp tempura and the hamachi sashimi with jalapeño and truffle vinaigrette is our hands down favorite. The citrus roll was good but the lemon for me was a bit over powering, but the boyfriend loved it. Rainbow roll and hamachi and green onion hand roll very yummy The hamachi nigiri was great, great, great, ordered it twice this week. For dessert our go to is the Coconut cake and green tea ice cream is so yummy. Oh the crispy rice and spicy tuna was delicious, and we will definitely get that again. The Hiroshi lychee saki martini is very nice, NOT to be confused with a midori martini which is far too sweet. Though a nice vegan option, I won't get the rice noodles and tofu again. It wasn't the savory thick noodles that I envisioned. In all this is an amazing restaurant and it is not surprising Hiroshi is considered one of the top two restaurants here.

We're not the ideal diner for sushi as neither of us typically eats it. But we figured that it was…read moreincluded in our stay so we might as well give it a try. I think it's safe to say that I'm still not a raw fish person but I did enjoy the other cooked options here. I started the meal with a hiroshi salad, which had the most amazing ginger dressing, and a rib eye robata skewer while my vegetarian boyfriend started with some veggie dumplings in a plum sauce and a veggie wonton tostada. For our sushi course, I attempted the seared tuna as I expressed to the waiter that I wasn't a raw fish fan and wanted to know what he'd recommend as a gateway. I thought the seared tuna sounded safe being partially cooked and even asked the waiter if they could sear it more than usual. I'm sure he thought I was crazy but I do love cooked tuna. Unfortunately, the tuna was still way to raw for me and I couldn't get over the texture or flavor. I originally planned on ordering the teriyaki as well but it was our last night and we thought we might enjoy a late night meal at Noi instead so I chose not to stuff myself here. Instead, I finished the meal with a delicious cookie martini.
