Well, now that I have visited some other local gym franchises, I can appreciate Retro Fitness even…read moremore. -Employees are generous, friendly, helpful, and not pushy. -The front wall of the gym is floor to ceiling windows. Hooray for sunlight and seeing the outside world! I guess I had taken this for granted. The treadmills and stationary bikes sit against one section of these, and I can almost always snag a machine either against the window or just next to it. Then the weight bearing machines are also in front of the next set of windows, so my whole experience here is open, airy, and filled with light. -The music is not too loud. I can listen to my own music or audiobooks easily even with open earbuds. It is even possible to have conversations with real people or with earphones. -The music that is played is 'retro' - from the 90s I think - and I much prefer this over techno music. -The colors of the gym are soothing to the eye. Not gaudy or blaring. Still... fix the water fountain!

I signed up in April for a free month, Carla the manager helped me. I wanted to do Silver Sneakers, but I did not realize how hard it was for non-Humana members to get into a class. I am not knowledgeable about gyms. They have a wonderful girl at the front Kendra I call her smiley she is so friendly and always smiling and the Asst manager Justin also was helpful. I really liked John as a personal trainer, he is wonderful, so I forgot about the manager and tried to exercise. Did not know i signed for 3 months with HIM and now he is leaving. I no longer want to be a member of this gym and I had been told I can cancel at any time. They have billed me $73.83 for the year, $296 for personal training that won't happen as John is not here and $148.00 for an introductory Personal training 8 sessions that I have not finished as John was not there 2 times. They need to care about their members not just about money.

Dear Johnny, I've been meaning to send this message for…read moreweeks, but I've struggled to find the words that could truly convey how deeply grateful I am for everything you've done for my son, Peyton. I've thought about posting it too, but honestly, no words could ever fully express the impact you've had. As you know, Peyton has been battling injuries for the last 18 months, and as a father, it's been incredibly painful to watch him fight every day to pursue his dream of playing professional soccer--a dream he's had since he was six. I haven't slept, nor found much peace in nearly two years as this journey consumed me. This past summer, in July, we went through over 40 doctor appointments--exploring everything from bone density exams, GI issues, autoimmune concerns, to hormone therapy, colonoscopies, endoscopies, and alternative treatments. It felt like an endless search for answers that I couldn't always understand, and watching my 16-year-old son go through all of it, physically and mentally, was heart-wrenching. It almost broke me, and it was hard to see him continue fighting with his spirit starting to fade. But everything changed the day we met you, on September 3. From the very first moment, you understood what was happening, and you began rebuilding Peyton from the ground up--no deadlines, no shortcuts, and no pain injections. The first thing you told him was that there was nothing stopping him from reaching his dreams, and that mindset shift was everything. The limitations he thought he had vanished, and he began to believe in himself again. Now, after 118 sessions, you've become so much more than just a trainer or therapist. You've been a mentor, a guide, and most of all, a godsend. You have this incredible understanding of body mechanics and functional movement that I can't even begin to explain. It's not just about exercises--it's about unlocking potential. In just 10 days, Peyton will be back on the field, doing what he loves, and I know that this next chapter is going to be something truly special. None of this would have been possible without you. We will never forget everything you've done for him. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I would give Connective 10 stars, if it was an option! I could barely walk 30 yards without pain…read morein my hips and legs. Over 2 years I tried physical therapy, chiropractic, yoga, etc. I felt so much improvement after only a few sessions with Johnny and 6 months later I was walking 1-2 miles and doing sprints on his treadmill! So grateful for his knowledge, encouragement and some kick-a$$ workouts!
