Mike Yeany Photography is all around five starts. Did lots of research for wedding location. I was especially surprised to find a photographer that made us feel comfortable, willing to drive out of their way, and go along with us on a four mile hike; while taking our picture! (Short Version) Punctual to the event. Easy to get along with. Great at his job. Reasonably priced. Quick response time. Him and his team are great at what they do! (Long Version) Our wedding location was an hour and a half drive (one way) with a four mile group hike. It was really was an adventure. He was very familiar with the area and was able to help with navigating the island. He arrived right on time as planed. Unfortunately some of our guests did not arrive so promptly. Thankfully Mike and his team were extremely patient even in the heat. Once all our guest arrived we all began our hike up the mountain. He had us stop along the way to take LOTS of pictures. Every time we stopped he had to set up the shot, it also gave us and our guests time to enjoy the beautiful trail. Again him and his team were very patience the entire time, stopping for other rando's on the trail(eliminating the occasional photo-bomber), outfit changes, selfies/group pictures, little breaks to stop and enjoy the views. Once we reached the summit it was even more amazing, they captured it all so well! His pictures are like time capsules that take us back to that exact moment. As the days pass and turn to weeks, weeks turn into months, then the months turn into years, we will be able to look back on these pictures and remember those moments. He captured our adventure, from our last moment of being single to the first hours of our marriage! Even a month later I'm looking back on these pictures and remembering little things. Mike makes it easy to view the edited pictures from his website. It took him less time to edit and upload the images then the amount of time my wife and I are taking to select the ones we want to keep. I truly believe he is great at capturing the moment. My husband and I were recently married in Maui and after spending countless hours online I narrowed my search down to 2 planners. Peggy, and someone else i cant remember. Mike did a fantastic job! He is cool, funny, professional & just a blast to be around! I spoke to him for almost an hour with a few personal concerns I had before our wedding. He was able to recommend a good time to be married for optimal photo lighting. I had chosen Maui Aloha weddings mainly due to Mike's work. I saw his work and was very impressed. The pictures came out better than I could have ever imagined. Everyone that sees our photos says they look like they belong in a magazine. We ended up buying all of our photos because they were all so beautiful! Peggy & Mike were both so great to deal with. Mike even went out of his way to find a piece of wood for me to make a sign with. He sent me a picture and measurements. Peggy was able to accommodate some last minute changes to our flower order (as we had a surprise guest). Mike was our photographer through Maui Aloha Weddings. I read a review on Maui Aloha Weddings where someone suggested using Mike so we requested him. We were so happy we did. Mike did an amazing job. He kept my husband and I both laughing - which made the pictures look genuine. We also had some ideas of what type of pictures we wanted and Mike was very accommodating. Not to mention the photos looked very professional and awesome! The turnaround for getting the photos was very prompt (within a few days) and Mike made it easy to navigate and select our photos. Overall it was a fantastic experience. Also - my husband and I decided to ditch our wedding plans in Chicago and elope in Maui. The photographer we were going to use in Chicago is one a friend had at her wedding. I think that Mike did a way better job capturing our wedding day than the photographer we were going to use. Because of Mike Yeany officiating and photographing our October wedding it turned out to be one of the best days of our lives. We found Mike through an online wedding coordinator; and so we did not know what to expect. Well let me tell you that the least expected were a half photographer package and a discount ceremony. But what we received was equivalent to several photographers work and a ceremony that was beyond words beautiful. We hired Mike to do our photos at our Kapalua Bay beach wedding ceremony in October 2015. Mike was such a pleasure to work with. My husband and I are not the most photogenic and Mike made the entire experience so much fun. We scheduled a sunset wedding and received a surprise rain storm. We had planned a vow renewal on the beach in Maui for our 10 year wedding anniversary. We had been to Maui 10 years ago for our honeymoon and wanted to share it again with our two children. When my wife and I first started talking to Mike, we knew we were going to like him. Mike was very professional with a fun spirit that made us feel comfortable right away. He took well framed shots and some candid photos that really captured our personalities. A little rain didn't stop Mike or our photo shoot, and I feel it enhanced our experience. Mike was so great to work with. Bless his heart - on the day of our wedding he was suffering from laryngitis but he hung in there and took over 300 photos at our wedding/reception.
