I ordered a very large order same day in a couple of hours and the pizza was AMAZING! The staff there was also very kind and very helpful. I was greeted when I walked in by all of the employees ( Sam, Roman, and Amen). They also carried the pizza to my car and loaded. I've been coming here for years for pizza and wings. I picked up my order and when I got home, I found that they had given me nine bony looking wings and two drummets . I called and a rude employee by the name of Alma answered and told me that was impossible that they could've not done that. I told her I would send her a picture. Her response was, they can't control what the supplier sends them??? You don't make sense Alma!! . FYI You can control what you give customer. Overall she was rude argumentative and wouldn't give me the name of the owner. lol I guess her name is sacred. I will be calling tomorrow to speak to the owner to let her know the bad service her employee provided. All she had to do was apologize rather than basically saying that I was lying. Do better with your customer service skills ALMA! You're giving Mikes Pizza a bad name! read more

Been going here for years. Pizza is good to very good. But not great. Today I start calling at 645. Realize later they close at 730. If you are not going answer the phone spend a dime to get a message saying you're closed. Wont bother trying your pizza again. It was never good enough to go out of the way. But it is frustrating to try to get a pizza at 645 to just hear the phone ring and ring. read more

The cashier/kitchen staff has no mask and a bad cough. It made me not want to eat my pizza. Especially when she's coughing and not covering her mouth. Working in the food industry... We love Mike's pizza, it's our neighborhood go to! We love the crust of their pizzas it is so good every single time! We also are a big fan of their Cosi's (sandwiches made with their pizza dough). The cosi's are big and come with a side. They have good lunch specials too. Definitely call your order in ahead of time so you don't have to wait when you pick up. Been ordering here for the last 2-3 years. This is by far the best pizza spot, I love the pizza, crust, and their toppings! A must try if you haven't tried them out! They do deliver locally. I'm not a fan of their wings though, a little too fatty for my taste, I've ordered a few times so I know it just wasn't a bad batch. As far as other menu items I have not tried them. I love this place! I've been coming here from years and it's totally worth the wait. Everyone is so kind and the pizza always comes out so fresh and yummy. the dough is so soft and the ingredients are moist. Been walking past this place for years but finally decided to try after word of mouth. Prices are incredible for the quality and size of pizzas. Best pizza around I think, and I do not say that lightly. Shop is small but felt intimate and vintage. Their menu is designed beautifully! Service was friendly but we did wait a while for a large pepperoni. I recommend calling in ahead of time to skip the wait. Heading there right now only to find out they close at 7:30 everyday. bummer! They could be making so much money in the night! This is a great place. The giant pizza is the greatest. I always order for my work parties. One time I forgot my wallet and I promised to bring the payment after work and they let me take the pizza and I paid later. Also they open at 11 but they always take my order earlier. I went to middle school in the area many moons ago and Mike's pizza was sometimes served on Fridays. About once per year when I'm in town visiting family I get a craving for that nostalgic taste. I'm pretty sure they haven't changed their recipe in over 20 years; it's exactly as I remember. It's not the absolute best pizza I've ever had, and I do recommend ordering extra sauce because it comes with a very light spreading, but it's consistently good and fresh and cheap. Alright, so here is the real deal on Mike's Pizza: I've been going to Mike's since their original location in Azusa (near Azusa Pacific University) back in 1995. I've stuck it out with Mike's through poor customer service, taking their phones off the hook, closing whenever they want, price increases, 'cash only', etc. BUT, I kept coming back because I LOVED the pizza. For some, the pizza may not have enough tomato sauce or cheese. I always add extra cheese. The crust is awesome and their ranch is bomb. And I have to admit that in the last year or so, I have seen a big improvement in customer service, so that is a 'plus'. My only complaint lately, is that I've noticed them getting skimpy with their toppings. Also, if you've never been, Mike's is not a 'dine-in' experience, as it is more of a 'hole in the wall' location. Bottom line - it's great pizza at a reasonable price! I've been a loyal customer for over 25 years and have followed them through 4 different locations! read more

I haven't had this pizza for a long time. The pizza is fine but my husband thought it needed more sauce and cheese. I like how the crust isn't too thick but it was a bit lacking in flavor but adding pepper flakes and parmesean helped. Good value for the price and the big one (largest pizza) is great for parties. read more

Horrible experience picking up my food today on 12/7/24. They forgot the wings, which I understand we all make mistakes. But didn't let me know or give me an option to just buy the pizza. I had already waited 40 minutes for the order. I go to pick up and wait another 20 minutes in store. We all make mistakes, but the way the situation was handled was not great. Only order the pizza here because they will possibly forget the wings and make you wait. read more

The food is incredible. They offer everything from hot food, salads, cheeses, vegan eggs, snack galore. Everything I've tried has been absolutely delicious. I really love their grocery store selections. What a hidden glendore gem this place is. What really stands out besides the food is the heart behind the business. The owners are professional, passionate, and clearly put everything they have into making this place special. I recently ordered catering from them for a work event, and every single person loved the food YES even the non-vegans. Some of them didn't even know it was vegan hehe. I'll definitely be ordering from them again. Highly recommend--go check them out and support!

Please dont trust these reviews. This place is pretty disgusting. The only thing it has going for it is the fact its cheap. But Costco is literally 3 minutes away. No only does the pizza not taste great and has been sitting around forever but the hygene of this place is horrioble. They will handle money and your pizza with their bare hands. read more

I remember the Addams Family pinball table, the original Turtles arcade, King of the Monsters, Baseball Stars, the octagonal shape bar counter adjacent to the open pizza kitchen, the wall mirror tiles with yellow veins over the red leather booths and the RGB TV projector showing Raiders games on the walls. I remember the slices, pepperoni when I was that kid, the tomato sauce was thicker, chunkier. After Mikey's closed and moved I figured it was over, the end of an era forever. I learned of a Michaelangelo's in San Dimas through casual research in 2019, there is a Michael Angelo's somewhere in California but it wasn't until after the pandemic that I learned through more research the San Dimas and Monterey Park locations were/are the same place. I returned for the first time in 34 years May of '26. I ordered a medium meat lovers pizza to see what would happen. The dark red walls, the multiple flat screens and the modern arcade decor are a far cry from the 80's and early 90's. Still, they provide a welcome atmosphere of familiarity. The nostalgia builds all over again. The recipe felt so familiar and delicious to me but more than that. Michaelangelo's pizza tasted like memories. I tried the Michaelangelo's special in June. The Supreme pizza that you don't appreciate as a kid but only as an adult. The almost sourdough taste to the crust, the olive oil or canola oil flavor to the vegetables and cheese. I requested and got an extra layer of marinara sauce at no extra charge. It was sweet, tangy, I do miss the thick, chunky texture the sauce used to be on those slices but, as most of us old timers say, that was a long time ago. Based upon my three recent visits to Mikey's, because I am not in their 5 mile radius and I can only visit once a month, Michaelangelo's Pizza 1985 gets a solid from me. Do not order ahead of time except for catering. Walk in to order and visit as late as 7 to 7:30pm as they'll still keep those ovens on. Forget Domino's, bland. Forget Pizza Hut, it's spicy sponge. Forget Little Caesars, the cheese is Chef Boyardee. Chuck E. Cheese, WTF is that?! Forget Round Table, Shakeys and Straw Hat, their pizzas are the typical pay grade above DiGiornos but Michaelangelo's pizza tastes like memories, absolute bloody good memories. And nothing, I mean nothing has literally replaced the empty space that Michaelangelo's left behind in Monterey Park near East Los Angeles College longer than a few months. All those businesses failed and continue to fail. When I go there, it's not just the great pizza but the 80's and early 90's trip through time in TV and video games. That's what Michaelangelo's means to me.

She immediately put me on hold to transfer me to the woman who incorrectly inputted my order w/o relaying any of the info to her. So when the woman got on the phone, I had to repeat the info, wait for her to understand & connect the dots, and discuss a solution. All I got was an offer to check with the kitchen and, if they weren't too busy, get the order made. She never apologized, but did agree to "rush" the order. Food arrived an hour later (after our guests arrived). No discount on the receipt, no apology - they did include a container of about a dozen mini-cookies - gee, thanks. not even enough for 1/2 our guests. And, to add insult to injury, some of the ham sandwiches had hard cartilage/ham bone (not sure) in them. Chew carefully I guess. Maybe the ownership changed b/c this is not what I expected from PPP .. how disappointing.
