I got 3 slices and a soda for $10. Didn't know their lunch special was 2 slices and a soda for $7. Slices are big. Didn't bed the third slice. But it was a happy little mistake. Pizza was great.

【Background】 Thursday, March 20, 2025 1:25 PM Who remembers the combo pizza from Costco? My parents used to buy it as a treat sometimes after an afternoon trip to the store, and to this day, I still randomly crave the long-lost order. I've heard from locals that Mike's Pizza is one of the best pizza places in San Dimas, and I saw they have a similar dish on their menu, so I decided to check them out for lunch. Located in the San Dimas Arrow Plaza, the restaurant is to the left of Stater Bros. It's pretty easy to find since there's a wide sign in front displaying the restaurant's name. The inside is pretty small with only three open tables since two other tables were piled with clutter. I usually prefer eating in, but I decided to just take my food home to enjoy; the ambiance inside was a little depressing and drab since all the lights were off (maybe to save on the electricity bill or keep the heat down?), and there were no other customers in sight. Multiple reviews say this restaurant is mainly a to-go place, and I definitely agree with that sentiment. 【Food】 Menu: https://mikesgourmetpizza.com/ To re-experience some childhood nostalgia, I ordered: * Supreme pizza, small ($17.00) The ingredients for the supreme pizza were pretty similar to Costco's combo pizza. Both have pepperoni, Italian sausage, green bell peppers, black olives, mushrooms, and red onions. However, Mike's also adds ham and Canadian bacon. The pie had a nice, crispy crust, not too doughy. I usually don't like olives, but the brininess complemented all the other ingredients and flavors. The presentation wasn't the best. As you can see in my picture, it seems the black olives and green bell peppers were haphazardly arranged so only certain slices had them, and I had to manually redistribute those vegetables. According to Google, small pizzas range from 8-10 inches in diameter. My small pizza spanned 12 inches in diameter. Also, I was able to get three meals out of this one pie, so I thought it was a relatively good deal. I enjoyed it hot and fresh right out of the oven and even cold after I refrigerated the leftovers, and the pizza tasted great in both scenarios. 【Service】 Honestly, I'm not sure if the online menu is useful for estimating prices. My order is listed as $15.96 on the website, and at the bottom of the page, it says "all items plus tax." But when I called to order, the employee told me the total price was $17.00. So maybe the tax rate is 6.5%? I called at 12:55 PM to order, and the employee told me it would be ready in about 25 minutes. I arrived a little later at 1:25 PM, told an employee my name, and another person took it out of the oven where it was being kept warm, which was pretty thoughtful of them. 【Parking】 Parking was easy since the plaza has tons of shared spots for the multiple businesses. 【Tips】 At the bottom of their website, it says they accept credit cards for pickup orders only, and I can confirm they took my card. However, there is a $1.00 service fee if you pay using a card.

If you've been in search of an old school pizza joint then look no further. Amazing pizza. Cooked to perfection topped generously and the price is right.. SOOOOK GOOOD!!!!

The pizza was tasty and huge! This thing was $40. It lasted a week, so it was worth the money. This was a pick-up order. What I thought was funny is the lady at the register seemed offended when I didn't tip. I am a great tipper, but who tips if you're the one picking up?

I tried this place out on a Sunday afternoon and I called to place a pick-up order because they do not have online ordering. They said it would take 40 minutes for a small veggie pizza and garlic bread. When we walked in we were greeted and our pizza was ready. The toppings were generous & they were able to add pepperoni to half of the pizza. The garlic bread was good & the crust of the pizza is thick. This is a good local spot to try out!

Been driving by for many years and finally tried it today!! Pizza came out great......good fresh taste & toppings! Crust had a nice crispy bite to it and dough was soft on the center like it's supposed to be! It was not greasy or salty! Ordered a small pizza with 3 toppings! Slice size are a little smaller then average. Service was okay and pizza was ready within 20 minutes. The outside window has a grade A rating. Ambiance is more set up for take out. Only thing I would suggest is being slightly more generous with the toppings and it would be a spectacular pizza. Good job Mike's pizza keep up the consistency & quality along with value!

Bland dirty unorganized I did not enjoy anything about it half the tables are full of employees half eaten meals the lights weren't even on and had to ask for the over head fans as it's too hot to just sit and wait will not be back read more

I ordered a very large order same day in a couple of hours and the pizza was AMAZING! The staff there was also very kind and very helpful. I was greeted when I walked in by all of the employees ( Sam, Roman, and Amen). They also carried the pizza to my car and loaded. I've been coming here for years for pizza and wings. I picked up my order and when I got home, I found that they had given me nine bony looking wings and two drummets . I called and a rude employee by the name of Alma answered and told me that was impossible that they could've not done that. I told her I would send her a picture. Her response was, they can't control what the supplier sends them??? You don't make sense Alma!! . FYI You can control what you give customer. Overall she was rude argumentative and wouldn't give me the name of the owner. lol I guess her name is sacred. I will be calling tomorrow to speak to the owner to let her know the bad service her employee provided. All she had to do was apologize rather than basically saying that I was lying. Do better with your customer service skills ALMA! You're giving Mikes Pizza a bad name! read more

Been going here for years. Pizza is good to very good. But not great. Today I start calling at 645. Realize later they close at 730. If you are not going answer the phone spend a dime to get a message saying you're closed. Wont bother trying your pizza again. It was never good enough to go out of the way. But it is frustrating to try to get a pizza at 645 to just hear the phone ring and ring. read more

We love Mike's pizza, it's our neighborhood go to! We love the crust of their pizzas it is so good every single time! We also are a big fan of their Cosi's (sandwiches made with their pizza dough). The cosi's are big and come with a side. They have good lunch specials too. Definitely call your order in ahead of time so you don't have to wait when you pick up. Ambiance is welcoming, old school pizzeria. read more

This is a great place. The giant pizza is the greatest. I always order for my work parties. One time I forgot my wallet and I promised to bring the payment after work and they let me take the pizza and I paid later. Also they open at 11 but they always take my order earlier. Can't say how much I appreciate this place. read more

The cashier/kitchen staff has no mask and a bad cough. It made me not want to eat my pizza. Especially when she's coughing and not covering her mouth. Working in the food industry... It doesn't look to good. A personal pizza cost $6.50. The wait time for that small pizza was about 20 minutes. read more

I love this place! I've been coming here from years and it's totally worth the wait. Everyone is so kind and the pizza always comes out so fresh and yummy. the dough is so soft and the ingredients are moist. I highly recommend waiting 20, 30 minutes even an hour for this pizza because it is worth every single bite. read more

Been walking past this place for years but finally decided to try after word of mouth. Prices are incredible for the quality and size of pizzas. Best pizza around I think, and I do not say that lightly. Shop is small but felt intimate and vintage. Their menu is designed beautifully! Service was friendly but we did wait a while for a large pepperoni. I recommend calling in ahead of time to skip the wait. Heading there right now only to find out they close at 7:30 everyday. bummer! They could be making so much money in the night! All in all, a Diamond in the rough in the pizza industry right now. read more

Been ordering here for the last 2-3 years. This is by far the best pizza spot, I love the pizza, crust, and their toppings! A must try if you haven't tried them out! They do deliver locally. I'm not a fan of their wings though, a little too fatty for my taste, I've ordered a few times so I know it just wasn't a bad batch. As far as other menu items I have not tried them. I went to middle school in the area many moons ago and Mike's pizza was sometimes served on Fridays. About once per year when I'm in town visiting family I get a craving for that nostalgic taste. I'm pretty sure they haven't changed their recipe in over 20 years; it's exactly as I remember. It's not the absolute best pizza I've ever had, and I do recommend ordering extra sauce because it comes with a very light spreading, but it's consistently good and fresh and cheap. Large pizza and large salad: $23. Cash only. Mike's: I'll see you once a year probably for the rest of my life! read more

Alright, so here is the real deal on Mike's Pizza: I've been going to Mike's since their original location in Azusa (near Azusa Pacific University) back in 1995. I've stuck it out with Mike's through poor customer service, taking their phones off the hook, closing whenever they want, price increases, 'cash only', etc. BUT, I kept coming back because I LOVED the pizza. For some, the pizza may not have enough tomato sauce or cheese. I always add extra cheese. The crust is awesome and their ranch is bomb. And I have to admit that in the last year or so, I have seen a big improvement in customer service, so that is a 'plus'. My only complaint lately, is that I've noticed them getting skimpy with their toppings. Also, if you've never been, Mike's is not a 'dine-in' experience, as it is more of a 'hole in the wall' location. Bottom line - it's great pizza at a reasonable price! I've been a loyal customer for over 25 years and have followed them through 4 different locations! read more

Horrible experience picking up my food today on 12/7/24. They forgot the wings, which I understand we all make mistakes. But didn't let me know or give me an option to just buy the pizza. I had already waited 40 minutes for the order. I go to pick up and wait another 20 minutes in store. We all make mistakes, but the way the situation was handled was not great. Only order the pizza here because they will possibly forget the wings and make you wait. read more

I haven't had this pizza for a long time. The pizza is fine but my husband thought it needed more sauce and cheese. I like how the crust isn't too thick but it was a bit lacking in flavor but adding pepper flakes and parmesean helped. Good value for the price and the big one (largest pizza) is great for parties. read more

I love Mikes pizza. Their food is amazing, better than the big box stores around the corner. The dine in area could be better. Tons of tables with pizza boxes everywhere. A/C vents need some cleaning. Put some arcade & pinball machine so the kids can play & kill time while they are waiting for their food. They do take credit cards. Overall, I will be back here to try other items on the menu. read more

Pizza was not bad but nothing special either. My first order was not made correctly so they took the pizza back and added pepperoni and put the pizza back in the oven. This just overcooked the crust and toppings already on the pizza. The pepperoni pizza was ok. I would skip the salad and garlic bread. For the price I expected a much better pizza and salad. read more

We sat outside right away. Service was a little slow even though they were not that busy when we got there. I think it was our server as the other servers responded quickly with orders and follow up. My carbonara was just OK. The rich tasting runny egg was cooked too long and was more like a hard boiled egg. Still love this place so giving them a pass since it was a difficult day - Mother's Day -

My coffee took about three minutes. Good time. As mentioned, I ordered the Nitro Cold Brew ($9 - Large - 24oz). The coffee is very standard. It tastes exactly like any imagined cold brew coffee. Personally, the roast tasted a little burnt, but it's a common, familiar coffee flavor. The strength was weak for a nitro, but the HUGE SIZE and affordability balances it all out. This is a functional, budget drink. On ambiance, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a HUGE success. There's a lot of utility. The location has a self-serve water station, public internet with no password, stacked high chairs for children, two game corners (ex: Chess, Giant Connect 4, Giant Jenga, Uno Cards, Etc), and about one available electrical outlet. I also appreciated the retro, upbeat music and 1930s movie decor. In addition, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) has plenty of seating. I was only in town to take a test nearby, but if I'm ever back in the area, I would 100% return and try the other dishes.

Please dont trust these reviews. This place is pretty disgusting. The only thing it has going for it is the fact its cheap. But Costco is literally 3 minutes away. No only does the pizza not taste great and has been sitting around forever but the hygene of this place is horrioble. They will handle money and your pizza with their bare hands. read more
