I got 3 slices and a soda for $10. Didn't know their lunch special was 2 slices and a soda for $7. Slices are big. Didn't bed the third slice. But it was a happy little mistake. Pizza was great.

【Background】 Thursday, March 20, 2025 1:25 PM Who remembers the combo pizza from Costco? My parents used to buy it as a treat sometimes after an afternoon trip to the store, and to this day, I still randomly crave the long-lost order. I've heard from locals that Mike's Pizza is one of the best pizza places in San Dimas, and I saw they have a similar dish on their menu, so I decided to check them out for lunch. Located in the San Dimas Arrow Plaza, the restaurant is to the left of Stater Bros. It's pretty easy to find since there's a wide sign in front displaying the restaurant's name. The inside is pretty small with only three open tables since two other tables were piled with clutter. I usually prefer eating in, but I decided to just take my food home to enjoy; the ambiance inside was a little depressing and drab since all the lights were off (maybe to save on the electricity bill or keep the heat down?), and there were no other customers in sight. Multiple reviews say this restaurant is mainly a to-go place, and I definitely agree with that sentiment. 【Food】 Menu: https://mikesgourmetpizza.com/ To re-experience some childhood nostalgia, I ordered: * Supreme pizza, small ($17.00) The ingredients for the supreme pizza were pretty similar to Costco's combo pizza. Both have pepperoni, Italian sausage, green bell peppers, black olives, mushrooms, and red onions. However, Mike's also adds ham and Canadian bacon. The pie had a nice, crispy crust, not too doughy. I usually don't like olives, but the brininess complemented all the other ingredients and flavors. The presentation wasn't the best. As you can see in my picture, it seems the black olives and green bell peppers were haphazardly arranged so only certain slices had them, and I had to manually redistribute those vegetables. According to Google, small pizzas range from 8-10 inches in diameter. My small pizza spanned 12 inches in diameter. Also, I was able to get three meals out of this one pie, so I thought it was a relatively good deal. I enjoyed it hot and fresh right out of the oven and even cold after I refrigerated the leftovers, and the pizza tasted great in both scenarios. 【Service】 Honestly, I'm not sure if the online menu is useful for estimating prices. My order is listed as $15.96 on the website, and at the bottom of the page, it says "all items plus tax." But when I called to order, the employee told me the total price was $17.00. So maybe the tax rate is 6.5%? I called at 12:55 PM to order, and the employee told me it would be ready in about 25 minutes. I arrived a little later at 1:25 PM, told an employee my name, and another person took it out of the oven where it was being kept warm, which was pretty thoughtful of them. 【Parking】 Parking was easy since the plaza has tons of shared spots for the multiple businesses. 【Tips】 At the bottom of their website, it says they accept credit cards for pickup orders only, and I can confirm they took my card. However, there is a $1.00 service fee if you pay using a card.

The pizza was tasty and huge! This thing was $40. It lasted a week, so it was worth the money. This was a pick-up order. What I thought was funny is the lady at the register seemed offended when I didn't tip. I am a great tipper, but who tips if you're the one picking up?

I tried this place out on a Sunday afternoon and I called to place a pick-up order because they do not have online ordering. They said it would take 40 minutes for a small veggie pizza and garlic bread. When we walked in we were greeted and our pizza was ready. The toppings were generous & they were able to add pepperoni to half of the pizza. The garlic bread was good & the crust of the pizza is thick. This is a good local spot to try out!

Been driving by for many years and finally tried it today!! Pizza came out great......good fresh taste & toppings! Crust had a nice crispy bite to it and dough was soft on the center like it's supposed to be! It was not greasy or salty! Ordered a small pizza with 3 toppings! Slice size are a little smaller then average. Service was okay and pizza was ready within 20 minutes. The outside window has a grade A rating. Ambiance is more set up for take out. Only thing I would suggest is being slightly more generous with the toppings and it would be a spectacular pizza. Good job Mike's pizza keep up the consistency & quality along with value!

What a difference three years makes. I walked by and Mike's Pizza no longer had that great aroma that you can smell from across the parking lot. I got a pepperoni pizza. It was just average. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't very good either. Not at all like it was before. I read some of the other reviews and found out Mike is no longer around, so that is why they aren't as good as they were when he was running the business. I may go again if I'm in the area and feel hungry, but it's no longer worth making a special trip for. I'm giving 3 stars because the slices are big and it is a good value for a quick lunch. I just miss how great it used to be. read more

When ordering we were not made aware that they only took cash. When the man showed up to bring us our pizza, he looked at me confused when i handed him my debit card. he did not inform me on the phone that i would need to pay in cash. he drive away after we said we didn't have cash. when we called to complain the woman on the phone said he couldn't do anything but the man could have called to run a card when he was at my house. read more

Our go-to pizza. They also have cosi sandwiches. They bake the pizza dough, cut it open, and make deli sandwiches. The hot bread is great. Prices are very reasonable, especially the pizza called the "big one" for parties. Highly recommend. read more

Is this the BEST pizza ever? No. Is this the CHEAPEST pizza ever? No. Is this the BEST pizza at the CHEAPEST price? You bet your ever-loving mind it is!!! Family owned small business serving the locals for however long...Mike's is the real deal! The pizza is delicious and the prices are great! Support your community and skip the dominoes. I can't speak on anything other than the pizza but when I know I'll have guests over 'the big one' does the trick and Mikes cranks it out quick - I've never waited more than 40 min for an order. First time here. I was thrown off on the All-you-can-eat pizza, salad and Garlic Bread for each person for less than $9.00. This is totally worth it and they serve it to you so the food isn't sitting outside in the open. Love the food and highly recommend this place. Been in business for over 30 years. I would definitely come back. After reading the reviews will agree with most posts about pizza; doughy pizza, not to much sauce and minimal amounts of toppings. We must have got there on a good day and great timing. I can see how this place isn't inviting as older generation is running this place and could use some fresher ideas with the right person that really wants this place to thrive. The food and service was great today and I truly hope I never experience the negative service I've read. Without catering to customers which makes or breaks business there will be no business. I truly hope this business listens to its customers. This place was empty during lunch hours and that should be a wakeup call for the owners. read more

... been following them since I was 14 years old. Literally the best crust you'll find. We'll priced, good ingredients, not a place to eat at (inside is hot and stuffy). More of a pick up and go. Not a fan of buffalo wings or salad (basic) but the pizza, the pizza is phenomenal. read more

The food here was a hit and everything on the menu was reasonably priced! My partner and I got a classic pepperoni pizza, wings, and the ham cosi... perfection! The staff was the cherry on top. The pizza at this location is great !! I would recommend it to anyone who wants good quality for a low price. Definitely a hidden gem the only down sides to this location is that it is rough and they only accept cash. Parking is limited so be prepared for that. read more

I've been living in Glendora for four years once a week for four years I order a large pepperoni pizza with 1/4 mushroom... Once a week I do that... Today I call and order my large pizza with 1/4 mushroom and today all of a sudden oh I'm sorry we can't do that... I say yes you can you do it every single week for four years... Oh no I'm sorry we can't do that. I said why cause it's the weekend because typically I ordered pizza during the week... She says no, we don't do that... I say yes you do. I order a pizza every week for four years with 1/4 mushroom do not tell me you do not do that, oh I'm sorry she says that is horrible customer service horrible only because my son loves that place did I order the large pizza somebody needs to tell the management or the owner there that the customer service is horrible... What does it take to put a few mushrooms on 1/4 of a pizza... What is wrong with people? I asked her nicely to not spit in our pizza, but who knows only God knows... I am very disappointed in you, Mikes Pizza we are loyal, loyal customers. This might be the last pizza I ordered from you I mean that is so Flippin ridiculous I can't imagine but whatever goodbye Mikes it was a good time. I guess I'll have to start going to Baby Bros in San Dimas drive a little farther but get what I want not be told that I can't do it, I didn't say I wasn't going to pay for the mushrooms... Well it happened folks. A great tasting, great value pizza place that started to get cheap. They used to put toppings on their pizza. But now toppings are scarce. Sides are small. Or overpriced now. I'd rather pay $4 or $5 dollars more for the pizza then to have a half assed made pizza. I get that Covid made prices of ingredients went up. But they should translate that cost to the customer and not the quality of the pizza. Just ones opinion. 1/3/22 read more

I want to say I've been on this mtn for 40 years and there are so few places to eat. We try to patrinize anything that's up here so we have options. I try to shop locally always on this mtn. Why would you put garlic powder all over my pizza. The pizza was, ehh. I literally put the saugug from my pizza on my salad and tossed the pizza in your trash can. I looked at it and considered not paying, but we live in a small town... it was $20 for a large pizza and a salad. The salad was good. Maybe I got them on a bad day... maybe the garlic top fell off, and she didn't want to make me another pizza. Mike is gone, and it's never been the same. Stay clear. read more

I was told no repeatedly on the turkey pastrami. -First the Turkey pastrami is too expensive it's an added $50 I said that's fine and he continued to persuade me to not get it -Second because now it's too much work to put on a sandwich because you know The Colossal is pretty big. (Seems like the works too much for them) So at the end of the day I went with the big corporate sandwich shop because I got my questions answered, they weren't rude, actually tried to upsell me instead of telling me no it's "too expensive" Lesson learned: teach your employees how to talk to customers. The manager, Matthew, delivered our food to our table, and he said that Mike made sure the focaccia bread on side for me was wrapped separate, as it was vegan, yet in kitchen with possible cross contamination. Matthew said they are very conscientious if a customer is vegan or vegetarian to be mindful of their orders. I was completely blown away! I was craving a wrap so why not come give em a try. The parking lot has plenty of spaces as it located on the long strip mall in this part of West Covina. The location is pretty chill and quiet outside of the TV playing soccer. The staff who took my order was friendly and allowed me to try sample some smoothies. I came there for the BLT wrap with avocado. My order was served within a few minutes. The staff offered jalapeños on the side as well and constantly checked in with me. I was happy with this wrap! The freshness of the veggies and the crunch from the bacon was perfect. One specific detail I'd have to mention was the cream cheese they use in the wrap. The coffee tastes like a clean, bitter, cold brew with a foamy top. (Important: Bring Cash. There's a 4% Cash Discount.) I arrived at Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) on Thursday (around 12:13PM). Parking is simple but busy. There's a side lot for customers; sign says, "2 Hour Parking." Staff is courteous, no-nonsense, and diligent. Staff worked hard. Staff quickly answered all my questions. My coffee took about three minutes. Good time. As mentioned, I ordered the Nitro Cold Brew ($9 - Large - 24oz). The coffee is very standard. It tastes exactly like any imagined cold brew coffee. Personally, the roast tasted a little burnt, but it's a common, familiar coffee flavor. The strength was weak for a nitro, but the HUGE SIZE and affordability balances it all out. This is a functional, budget drink. On ambiance, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a HUGE success. There's a lot of utility. The location has a self-serve water station, public internet with no password, stacked high chairs for children, two game corners (ex: Chess, Giant Connect 4, Giant Jenga, Uno Cards, Etc), and about one available electrical outlet. I also appreciated the retro, upbeat music and 1930s movie decor. In addition, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) has plenty of seating. Please dont trust these reviews. This place is pretty disgusting. The only thing it has going for it is the fact its cheap. But Costco is literally 3 minutes away. No only does the pizza not taste great and has been sitting around forever but the hygene of this place is horrioble. They will handle money and your pizza with their bare hands. read more
