I called and spoke with Mike about a potential leak in the front yard of the house where the ground was soaked and pooling. He said it was likely a common issue involving the line running from the meter to the house and that the cost for such repairs started at $350 and went up from there, depending on how much digging and time was involved. He called back about 2 hours later to tell me that he had dug up the ground near the wet area and found a leaking coupler, which he fixed with a flexible line called "PEX". He said he was going to leave the hole open and go back the next day to see if the water had receded. If so, he would assume the leak was fixed and he would fill in the hole. If not, he would have to look for other leaks. Mike called early the next morning and said the water had receded and he had filled the hole with dirt. The total charge was $380. I think that is a very reasonable price considering he had to dig up muddy ground. For those who have done that, you know how physically difficult and mentally frustrating it can be! To say the least, I am very impressed. Mike told me what he was going to do and he did exactly that, and then got back in touch promptly to give me the details. There were no surprises, the leak was fixed, and it was done at a fair price. It's pretty hard to find that kind of service, so my hat is off to Mike! i will not hesitate to hire him again, and I will gladly recommend him to anyone.
