The one-star review is not alone. We are SO DISAPPOINTED. This is a company we've been loyal to for years- annual contracts, done lots of work in the past. Unfortunately that is past. They no longer care about the small residential customer no matter how long we've been loyal to them. Our home a/c stopped working on Wednesday. They did send out the service guy Manny who just kept saying how "we should have bought the extended warranty service contract when we bought the new system in 2020 and so even though the part is under warranty their labor is not and wanted $2800.- for 4 hours work plus the refrigerant! I asked for an itemized bill SEVERAL times and never got one because they were severely OVERPRICED. I shopped @ and got two offers- one for a thousand dollars less and one for half the price- from companies that weren't afraid to itemized their charges! Also they said it would be a week for the part. As seniors in the Texas heat that is absurd! Other companies took the extra effort and got the part in a day and installed it before our elderly bodies were melted into the walls. Remind me why they never offered a senior discount or even honored the 10%labor discount our contract said we have. Not a word. I hate to write bad reviews but this one is important for people to know if you are not a commercial contract no matter how loyal you have been they will no longer provide good customer service and will severely overcharge. We have been using Weeks for years. In the past they have had knowledgeable technicians. Although high prices, their quality was high. This was until recently. We purchased our Daikin HVAC system from Weeks and have been doing the twice annual maintenance checks. This should have increased the lifespan of the unit to at least 15 years. Well, after 7 years the unit stopped working. The service check had been conducted a month ago with no concerns. Weeks did send out a technician same day. He said there was a leak and the coil needed replaced. He did not know why it failed "they don't make them like they used to". The parts were under warranty but the labor was not. Labor was $2,800 for a 4-5 hour job. They called back the next day and said the part was on back order and would take a week. This is Houston! A week with no AC is a death sentence to the elderly. No itemization was given when asked for. The tech told us several times we should have gotten the extended service warranty when we purchased the system (I know, helpful guy) We started to shop around and found Weeks was double what the industry standard was for the job. I call then to ask why and was told management would contact me. After 24 hours I called them back and said cancel the job I'm going elsewhere. I received a call within the hour from management. He justified their price by stating it was a lot of work submitting the warranty. When I told him what other bids were and they were over priced by at least $1,000 there was no comment. He was supposed to offer 10% off labor as we were currently enrolled in the service maintenance agreement. Nothing, zip. No understanding. This company is resting on past accomplishments. read more

Start off they do t even deserve a one star, they charged my daughter which is a disabled veteran 1842.00 to run tow pipes and run a tube through the roof, found out they wanted $900.00 dollars hired another plumbing said they ripped us off it should of been a $400.00 job. This other plumbing company said it was unreal what they did to my daughter and the pipes under house had mutable leaks. They should have done a better job before the ripped her off. Been doing business with Weeks for 30 years. Not sure what has happened to them. Their A/C service/repair is still good, but their generator service/repair is terrible. My mom called for service since the "red" light was on (indicating a problem). She was told it would be 8 weeks before they could get to her. She is 80+ yrs old and needs that generator to be available when power is lost. To me, there is a difference between routine service (changing oil, making sure all is ok) VS a repair. Weeks seems to be all about selling and installing generators, but don't count on them repairs when it breaks (and it will break)! Disappointed in Dickinson! read more

We were ripped off by Weeks A/C guy during pandemic. They sold us two Daikin Units for our upstairs and downstairs. We were promised that these units could communicate and coordinate with each other as smart units. But they don't! So what happened was that the upper unit keeps going all day because hot air always goes up. And if I manually adjust the lower unit a few degrees lower, it will occasionally work. And if I adjust the lower unit too low, the upper unit won't work at all. Not to mention that Weeks changes much higher price than others. read more

A/C unit quit working on July 4 2025 ! Called for service and was told they would be at my home between 8 am and 12 pm . At 11 they called and said the tech was finishing work at the Joe before ours. I called at 12 noon only to be told that he was still at the previous job! This is not the first time this has happened !! Weeks rescheduled 2 maintenance appointments for this same AC unit! They finally showed up on June 3 2025 and check and maintained the unit and was told by Tucker every thing was good . Only to have the unit go dead on July 4 2025 ! The tech finally showed up at 1: 30 pm only to tell us we had a massive leak upstairs in the coil. How the hell can it develop a massive leak in 1 month when it was supposed to be ok in June ! I pay for a service contract and Weeks has ripped me off !! This unit is barely over a year old and Should not have this issue! This really pisses me off , I payed too much for this piece of junk Daiken unit to have this kind of crapy service from weeks and Daiken ! I was told that it had was still under warranty and would be fixed for no charge but with Weeks record with me I'm sure I will be weeks without it being replaced and repaired and that Weeks will try to brush me off like they did with my rescheduled maintenance! The service request was placed the day following the problem occurring of the outside unit fan not spinning. In the evening the temperature kept rising and we called the following day as soon as the company opened. The appointment was given between 8-1 the following day because of the increased problems in Houston area due to our record 2+ months of 100+ weather. Lynn's photo and details were posted to the text about half hour before arrival - and he was prompt, efficient and most importantly professional. Listened to the symptoms and made the assessments with caveats that he clearly explained what to expect - thus reducing our anxiety. We had a service plan with Weeks for our Generator, and we last had them service our generator in 2021. I had scheduled an appointment with them over a month ago because our generator quit working. They called me THE DAY BEFORE my scheduled appointment to let me know they were canceling it because they could no longer service our generator, and they were only going to service generators from now on that they have installed themselves. They told me they would have cancelled the appointment even if they hadn't been able to get in touch with me. I questioned if they gave my appointment to another customer and they said yes. I said that more than a day-before notice would have been nice, considering I've had this appointment scheduled for a month already, and I could have found someone else to service it by now. I have called Weeks out several times during my 36 years I've owned my home in Clear Lake City. The last time, the tech showed up and identified the problem as a bad capacitor in the outside unit. He went to his truck, looked around and told me he didn't have a replacement. I told him I'd replace it myself and paid him for the $89.00 service call. I went to a local HVAC supply store and purchased the part for less than $30. That fixed it and that was that. On 5/23/24, I called them again because the same unit stopped cooling. They scheduled me for an appoint that afternoon but didn't show up. They finally call after the appointment window and I told them to just come the next day. During the original call, the lady asked if i'd like to purchase their VIP Yearly Contract for $232.50. With it, I wouldn't be charged the $89.00 service fee and I'd get 10% off of parts. Fearing the problem might be really high, I agreed. The VIP contact also included a Spring and Fall system cleaning. On 5/24/24 the tech showed up and I described the problem to him. He went directly to the outside unit and opened it up. Again, he told me it was the same capacitor and asked me if I wanted him to replace it. I agreed and thought it certainly wouldn't be more than a couple hundred, with one hour work and a $25 capacitor. The bill ended up being $317.05. The next morning, I called to find out what the labor and parts breakdown were and they told me that's not how they handled billing. I then requested a refund for my VIP contract and they said they would have a service manager call me. Later that day the service manager called and I told him I didn't think the VIP Contract had any value, since they just based their billing on a computer program and their was no way to tell what was for the part to get the 10% discount. In Texas, we have three days to cancel a contract. He finally, agreed to refund the cost of the VIP contract. I received a refund of $176.55. That service call, one our labor and $25 capacitor ended up costing me $373.00. read more

Do NOT recommend Weeks Air Conditioning service! Called them to service my system on 5/04/2017. System running fine, just wanted it serviced before super hot weather hit. Weeks technician said we had a leak and tried to sell us a whole new system. Called Majestic Air, tech found no leak, no problem at all. My system is still running just fine. Weeks lied to us about leak and just wanted to sell us an unneeded system. Getting close to 2 years since weeks tec . said I had leak in air cond. system & needed system replaced . After seeing rips and separated insulation from wye-spilt ducts and overall poor airflow at rooms toward the end of long runs, Christian, Thomas and Lincoln spent 58-64 labor hours removing ductwork from the upstairs and downstairs systems. Work included installing new return and supply ductwork, new return and supply plenums, new flex duct to all registers and duct work fed to supply plenums. With the wyes gone from the system and dampers in the runs from the new plenums, the house is more balanced then the 27 year old system ever was. The work has been completed for a month and I am happy with the result. Christian, Thomas and Lincoln kept the work area clean by placing drape cloths from the door to the attic, cleaned up their work every day and secured their tools out of site. Generally don't bother writing reviews, however, in this case I was compelled to do so. A/C lines and compressor were freezing and unit shutting down. Previous owner of our home left a list of service companies (she was a widowed older woman) so I called Weeks. Surprisingly they were able to arrive several hours after I called. First they do charge you to tell you what's wrong!! I was advised the evaporator coil was leaking. Then proceeded to tell me mu units were 7 years old and out of warranty. Suggested I consider complete replacement. Indicated there was a special that would include heating elements at no charge if installed Monday (this was Friday). OK so give me a quote. Tech then proceeded to spend 15 minutes on his tablet creating a proposal. WOW! Full unit was over $18k for a single zone 5 ton unit. Shocked wasn't the word as I had already searched the internet and comparable complete units ranged from $5-8k delivered. OK so tell me how much just the AC portion with a lower SEER rating would be. At this time I excused myself and called my neighbor that just had his system replaced 8 weeks ago. The new quote was $16K. I asked how that could be possible as I showed internet pricing. His response was Labor and 2 extra years of warranty! Finally asked how much to repair!! To replace the Evaporator Coil it would be $6,800!!! Received a text back from my neighbor . All in he paid $8k for a Heat/AC Trane unit!! Explained to Tech and he smiled... No real answer! Called a local established company that was AAA rated with better business bureau. Arrived within hours. Commented system was in good working order and did not recommend a full replacement. Cost to repair and replace Coil with install and freon $2,400!! I can't speak to the quality of service but I can speak to the poor communication that meant I didn't even use Weeks. I scheduled an appointment for a tuneup online. The window was 8 am to 1 pm. It's a HUGE time window, but Weeks told me I could call the morning of to get a narrower time frame. So I did; I called around 7:30 am and spoke with Faith, who said my tech would arrive at 12 pm. Great, I thought, so I went to run errands. I got a call at 10:33 am from the tech. He was at my house, an hour and a half early. I informed him of my earlier conversation. Madison then called me three minutes later to tell me that since I booked online, the tech was within his time window, and we'd have to reschedule for next week. What?! Madison also said she didn't know why Faith had told me 12. And that the tech was "only" an hour early (no, he was an hour and a half early, but nice try). I canceled the appointment because if they can't even give me accurate information and then try to gaslight me over a time another employee had given me, I can only imagine the scam they'd pull once they had access to my HVAC systems. And when I expressed the poor communication to Madison, she insisted that they were within their time window. So why tell me to call to get a more accurate time? Is my time not as valuable as theirs? Why not just say, "It's going to be between 8 and 1" and leave it at that? read more

Whom were extremely professional. They never left the house and heavy rain came . They came inside for a brief second . They came to our home 5 times within a matter of 1 1/2 weeks and the problem was never fixed. There was always a "new problem" every time they came out. Every technician had something different to say. I think this company is old and running straight down hill. They just want to suck out as much money as they can from people. We've had to suffer with no working ac in the mid summer of Texas for over a week. We had a new company come out for a second opinion, and the ac was up and working with no problems the very next morning for a fraction of the cost weeks was quoting. Highly recommend! Weeks came out the same day I called them (Saturday). I was totally expecting the tech to tell me I needed a new unit because I was told by a different tech last year that I needed a new unit within 5 months. Weeks tech told me the motor went out and that I still have 4 years left on my unit. Tech ordered the part in front of me. He did a temp fix so that the air would blow cold until he could get back out to install the new motor which was Monday. Derrick is the techs name. He was professional, knowledgeable and honest. I will request him for future service. Weeks stayed in contact with me from the beginning to the end. Called me to let me know the tech was in route and the parts dept. called to let me know they ordered the part. A little pricey BUT you get what you pay for. Weeks sold me a UV Light and duct cleaning based on lies that we had mold and the only way to get rid of it was with this UV light. UV light has broken and been replaced twice within 18 months and they said they will not be replacing it again even tho it has a 5 year warranty. Shady Crooks!! We began using weeks simply because we saw the truck in our neighborhood and the service man said they offer a seasonal maintenance program. Our A/C is very old but has been faithful. Had service/check up a few months ago. They guy kept saying we needed to buy a new system. This weekend our system stopped cooling. Had them come, filled with freon for almost $500 and the sales man (service man) told everyone of age that we should buy a new system. Only $8700 and they did payments with no interest for 6 months, or we could replace the coil for $2700 to stop the leak. I told him we were waiting. He said "your AC will NOT last the summer!" So we decided it was expensive and to get several quotes... Next day, different company, guy comes down with photos. Weeks man left the cap loose on the freon, ensuring it would not last!! We requested a technician to check out our water heater. Weeks sent an HVAC technician, who said he was not qualified for water heaters. Since he was here, we asked him to check out a gas heating system. He said it would take 2 hours, and would have to dis-assemble the entire system, at $120/Hour, and he would have to turn on the heater to "high" and run it up to maximum. Long story short, he spent 15 minutes at our home, our thermostat is not working, so he could not turn the heater on, said after he saw the Amana sticker on our HVAC, he had to look no further.
