Great Steaks in a casual setting. Cold beer and wine. In warm weather, enjoy the outside patio.

I have never tried to eat there without a reservation. It is always packed. I did not take a single pic but we had the gulf crab claws in lemon butter sauce. These were the most amazing crab claws i have ever had. It came with 2 pieces of bread thank goodness bc i needed it to get all the lemon sauce. Pricey- yes. Worth every penny-yes! We shared an entree short rib entree and added a side of mac and cheese and scalloped potatoes. There was not even a crumb left. I didn't even need a knife for the short ribs. My tip is to go early. I'm sure the other food is good too, but the best stuff sells out.

Let me set this up. My wife and I are on the diet shot. We share meals and still can't finish them. Both my wife and I at the beginning of our life together 47 years ago, both worked for restaurants. We know how hard folks in the business work. Even though it would affect his income negatively, our server was a real professional. I notice things like that. I tipped 35%+. WHY, he deserved it and we enjoyed his service. The Ambiance of the restaurant was calm, friendly and inviting. We will absolutely go again. Bravo.

Celebrating our Auburn graduate with cocktails, appetizers, salad, entrees, and dessert. Filet mignons and Sea bass were outstanding. Corn crème brûlée was a nice addition to the menu. Topped off with a rocky road bread pudding left everyone feeling delightfully full. The ambiance and the waitress were top-notch.

Hubby asked for something they didn't have but the bartender said he could make him something similar. He didn't like it. Service at the bar was underwhelming. Wanted an app and another drink but the gentleman that waited on us never returned. Our bill was provided with our drinks so I guess he decided we'd had enough. Dinner at our table was excellent. Our server, Solomon, was fabulous! My husband's filet was cooked perfectly. The lobster bisque was fantastic. I noticed in my last review that they brought me the wrong drink. This time they brought my husband the wrong drink. Not sure why they have a problem with that. My other issue is that they don't allow substitutions even if you have an allergy. Pretty ridiculous for what they are charging. I love the atmosphere in here. Great place to go with friends. It was super busy on a Saturday night. Make reservations!

The service (ask for Lindsay) will make you feel right at home. The food is delicious and portions are big! We shared ribs and smoked chicken, both were well seasoned. Don't pass on a roll! The salad bar was fresh and well cared for. The drive is worth it!! I wish we lived closer so we could try other items in the menu!

It's the kind of place that feels like it should come with a story or two about someone's uncle catching a catfish "this big," told over a glass of sweet tea. The menu is loaded with hearty steaks and all the fixin's, but my wife and I went straight for the catfish -- and it did not disappoint. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned so perfectly it made me forget I ever pretended to be on a diet. We kicked things off with cheese sticks, because let's be honest -- if anything can hold life together, it's melted cheese. Inside, you get that rustic, down-home charm -- cozy tables, friendly faces, and a salad bar fit for VIPs (if only the plates weren't the size of a Tweety Bird coaster). Still, we piled them high and went back for seconds because we're not quitters. Now, the service was a little on the slow side, but hey -- when the food's this good, it's worth the wait. Besides, this hidden gem stays packed with locals, and even outsiders like us were greeted with a smile and treated like regulars. Dinner came out hot -- two golden catfish fillets and a loaded baked potato that could've been a meal all by itself. That "loaded butter mixture" they serve with it? Pure magic -- it deserves its own spot on the menu. We were so full by the end of the meal that dessert had to come home with us. Both of us went for the cheesecake, and let me tell you -- wow. That first bite felt like a cowboy in the 1800s striking gold along the last frontier. Smooth, rich, and downright heavenly -- it was the perfect ending to a great meal. All told, the Last Frontier is a solid 4-star stop in the middle of nowhere that's absolutely worth finding. Next time, we'll be back to see if the steaks can live up to the catfish -- though that's a tough act to follow!
