I have dined at several Perry's Steakhouse locations over the years, and this was, without question, the worst experience I've had. My friends arrived about 15 minutes before I did and were seated on the patio. When I arrived, the hostess escorted me to join them. We reviewed the menu and waited for our server to greet us, offer water, or take our drink order. That never happened. After sitting there for more than 35 minutes, not a single employee acknowledged our table. No server stopped by, no one offered water, and no one checked to see if we had been helped. We were essentially invisible. I finally had to get up and speak with the hostess, who immediately moved us inside. The manager came over, apologized sincerely for the oversight, and offered us a complimentary appetizer, which I appreciated. While he handled the situation professionally once he became aware of it, it should never have reached that point in the first place. What was most disappointing wasn't the wait--it was feeling completely ignored. At a restaurant known for its exceptional service and premium dining experience, being overlooked for over half an hour without even a glass of water is unacceptable. I've always had excellent experiences at other Perry's locations, so this visit was especially surprising. Unfortunately, this experience has left a lasting impression, and I will not be returning to this location. read more

Can't back here again for dinner. Sat at the bar while waiting for our other party to arrive. I had the blueberry cucumber martini. It was really good. Very refreshing! Hubby asked for something they didn't have but the bartender said he could make him something similar. He didn't like it. Service at the bar was underwhelming. Wanted an app and another drink but the gentleman that waited on us never returned. Our bill was provided with our drinks so I guess he decided we'd had enough. Dinner at our table was excellent. I was there today and ordered a to go Famous Pork Chops friday, since I ordered quite a few I decided to have an appetizers while waiting, I ordered a cup of Lobster bisque and Pan-Seared Scallops served on a bacon slab, the soup is too salty and it took away the taste of the bisque, same with scallops and bacon slabs, I asked for a bread if I can get some and I was told it will be awhile? People that just came after me have their bread served, and breads keep coming but none was given to me, so I asked again, nothing.... until I finished eating nothing has been said about it. Our first time at Perry's for a holiday and it did not disappoint! Thanksgiving day a 3:30 reservation was perfect! The restaurant was surprisingly full of guests! We were seated promptly and the service was great. I had the filet and lobster. The steak was cooked perfectly as well as the lobster tail being well seasoned. We had to ask for drawn butter and it was brought out unmelted but with a candle and ramekin to melt table side. We shared sides of Brussels sprouts and scalloped potatoes, both were delicious. I had a lemon drop martini which was done well. My husband got to enjoy a smoked table side bourbon drink that he thoroughly enjoyed. I often visit Perry's at least once a month, and I always look forward to their Happy Hour. My favorite starters include the pork chop bites, Caesar salad, Steak & Tater Totter Bites, and the Filet Beef & Bleu. As for main courses, I love the Symphony Trio--featuring steak, lobster, and shrimp, all partially prepared table-side to perfection--and the Dinner Cut Pork Chop, which provides enough for 2-3 days of indulgence. A friend of mine was staying at the Doubletree Hilton, which is right next to Perry's so we decided to walk over and have dinner on a Monday evening. It was memorial day so it really was not that busy. Our server was Milkiles. He was so professional and personable. He kept our drinks filled and was very attentive. I love how there's low lighting in there and it seems very intimate even though it's a pretty big restaurant. I decided to go with the Wagyu fillet, and my date ended up having the Wagyu prime rib eye. We ordered the sides for Two, the mac & cheese, and the truffle fries. That was probably one of the best steaks I've ever had. We left there feeling full and very fulfilled. The bar area is really nice. It's definitely something on my list to go back and sit at the bar or the bar area. The bathrooms were very clean. If you haven't been yet, I would definitely try it out. I had heard great things about Perry's and this was my first visit. It lived up to everything I had heard and then some. Our server Aliway was kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire meal. When I walk into a steakhouse, I am getting a ribeye 98% of the time and that held true here. I was seriously tempted by the pecan smoked New York strip but I stayed true and went with the prime ribeye. It was cooked to absolute perfection. Juicy, not fatty, exactly how I like it. Now let me talk about the corn brulee. It is almost scandalous how good that corn brulee was. I ordered it and the whole table cleaned it out before I could get a proper serving. My only complaint from the entire evening is that I did not order two. Next time I will. The creamed spinach, Brussels sprouts, and asparagus were all excellent. The sides here are serious. I also have to mention the au poivre, the three peppercorn preparation, because the drizzle and the topping on that dish were incredible. And the fish they had was extremely good as well. I asked my mother where she wanted to go for Mother's Day and she wanted to go to Perry's. I've been there several times before and have always had a great meal, so I was happy to go back. The food was pretty good. The pork bites were small, but delicious. The wedge salad was really good, however it was literally swimming in a pool of salad dressing at the bottom of the plate. I had the sea bass which was pretty flavorless, .so I see why the fish is plated with several sauces and corn. My brother had the salmon which was really tasty. My mom had the chicken Oscar and she really enjoyed that. The honey sriracha brussel sprouts were r amazing! The Mac and cheese was pretty good; the noodles were overcooked. The service was as the standout of the night. From the valet, to the hosts, to the bartenders to the food rummers, everyone was so polite and professional. I do have to give a special shout out to our server, Emily. She was amazing. She anticipated our needs. Like the others, she demonstrated pure professionalism and was so kind. NEVER AGAIN!! Our reservation was at 4:15 on a Tuesday. It took forever for them to get us seated. We knew what we wanted when we walked in despite ordering immediately our food arrived over an hour late. We thought we were coming there to have dinner as a family but because of another commitment at 6:30 we had to leave because that's exactly how long it took our food to arrive. Management didn't seem to really care about it either. I will never come back here! I've even hosted corporate meetings here and come here pretty regularly in the past this was hands-down, the worst service and lack of empathy I've ever seen from management ever. Unless you have several hours to wait for your meal, no matter how busy you're slow I would not recommend going here. Wish I could post a picture of food but never saw it. read more

The service and food were excellent. The 14 oz prime ribeye is among the best I've ever had. The field green Pear and candied pecan salad is excellent as well. The waiter made the experience for my wife and I very enjoyable. He was very well versed in the food on the menu and very outgoing. Perry's has fantastic options on their menu for vegans and those who are gluten-free alike. The vegan "steak" is a hit! Yum. I really appreciate that they provide this in a posh experience, because people of all dietary accommodations deserve to be accommodated as well. It's been awhile since I've eaten at Perry's Steakhouse & Grill at the Colonnade. So on this day we are having a small gathering to celebrate a friend's divorce anniversary. That is another story for another time. Our half of the group waited in the bar for the other half of our party to show up. Perry's has a great bar and really nice bar tables for couples or 4 small people...after most of consume a 2 to 3 of Mimosas and or Bloody Mary's - our group was adequately marinated for lunch as the other late half of our group gets checked in. Most decided to do the Thursday Lunch Specials, this was some really good reading while I was getting seasoned at the bar. This was a complete surprise, as well as other events and happy hour specials looked very appealing. This is my first lunch at Perry's, We got started with a couple of tasty appetizers, the Tuna Tartare and the Artichoke, Leek and Potato Soup with Truffle Oil = Fabulous! One of my favorite's, the Tuna Tartare was delicious as it was the last time I got it. Very impressive. A couple of us had the lunch special pork chop for $19.00. This is served with garlic mashed, apple sauce, with a couple of different sauces including an apple sauce and butter with a fat piece of fresh bread. All the sides were simple, very good and paired well With Pork-Chop and suggest wine. The Lunch Pork-Chop portion is 16oz/1LB. Plenary of food ! My first Perry Pork Chop. The caramelized pork skins covering the ribs on the chops was incredible. . By the way, The Pork-Chop dinner portion is 32oz/3lbs. We had reservations and were seated promptly at our reserved time. Our soup, salad and bread were all served promptly and were very good. After finishing our soup and salad we sat, and waited. Over 35 minutes later we received our entrees. During this time we also did not get refills on our drinks. When we did get our food there was no apology, just an exasperated statement that they were very busy with a large party. The food was good, as it usually is, but the service really let us down. The ambiance has also changed. The dining room seemed very crowded and noisy. It was hard to have a conversation. Additionally, when we received our check, we were overcharged by over $30. They corrected the ticket and said the system sometimes does that, he wasn't sure why. Overall, not the exceptional dining experience I have come to expect from Perry's. If I'm in the area I may dine here again, I'm just not sure it is still worth the drive from Huntsville. read more

We always have a 5 star dining experience at Perry's. The food here is absolutely delicious 10/10! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the Filet Perry(it's topped with steak butter and crab meat and served over asparagus) and the Corn Brûlée as my favorite side. Oh, the loaded mashed potatoes are delicious as well. I was so afraid to try the corn, I thought it would be to sweet because it's brûlée, boy was I wrong. The corn is bursting with flavors. Our server who recommended the corn was also a sweetheart. I hate that I can't remember her name (Maybe Olivia) , but the young lady had braces, and she was very helpful and also made other great recommendations, including the cocktails. Overall Impression is key, and the dining area is definitely a beautiful one. This place is an absolute must try if you are ever in Birmingham Al, I know I'll certainly be back again soon. read more

Asked hostess to move us up an hour IF possible, "no biggie". Enjoyed an incredible round of cocktails at the bar. Move to dining room - My new friend Maxwell, our waiter, he wasn't good, he was epic. He carried the whole thing, and I'd been preparing for a week for what I wanted. But I wanted valuable opinion of what's what, and I got it. Wine was easy. Dinner was easy, I got the chop. Absolutely the worse I ever been embarrassed. Went a mile away to FireBirds and had no problem at all. The manager was shaking talking to us. We made a reservation online for that evening and when we arrived, the complimentary valet parked our SUV full of toddler toys and snacks-how embarrassing! "Don't mind the Cheerios sir!" But it was windy and the parking lot was full so this was a welcome service. We didn't wait long to be seated and were immediately greeted by our server. All night long we were amazed at the dishes that were passing by. There were things on fire lol, balancing acts with the drinks and skewers full of meat. The staff was friendly and the manager was actually walking around helping his team and greeting customers. We started with an Espresso Old Fashioned and this Spicy drink our server recommended-both delicious. I could have had those all night! Our appetizer was the spinach and artichoke dip-perfectly melty and crispy with actual seasoning(!!!-if you're one of those people who want water chestnuts, sorry!), then for our entrees we ordered the Chargrilled Salmon-cooked perfectly (I'm still kicking myself for missing this in our to go bag and it not making it to the fridge. Sorry hubby! ) and Vegan Steak-first of all a vegan option at a steakhouse?! Points. It had delicious seasoning and although I've never had steak, I felt like a professional lol, with the Mac and cheese-so creamy and Brussels as sides-my least favorite if I had to choose something. They were a little soft but the seasoning was amazing. For dessert we ordered the Nutty D'Angelo and Bread Pudding. The D'Angelo was flambéed table-side which was so fun to watch.
