Always a wonderful experience at Perry's. Very busy on a Sat night so our reservations were on the early side which was great because we finished by 7pm. Celebrating our Auburn graduate with cocktails, appetizers, salad, entrees, and dessert. Filet mignons and Sea bass were outstanding. Corn crème brûlée was a nice addition to the menu. Topped off with a rocky road bread pudding left everyone feeling delightfully full. The ambiance and the waitress were top-notch.

Can't back here again for dinner. Sat at the bar while waiting for our other party to arrive. I had the blueberry cucumber martini. It was really good. Very refreshing! Hubby asked for something they didn't have but the bartender said he could make him something similar. He didn't like it. Service at the bar was underwhelming. Wanted an app and another drink but the gentleman that waited on us never returned. Our bill was provided with our drinks so I guess he decided we'd had enough. Dinner at our table was excellent. Our server, Solomon, was fabulous! My husband's filet was cooked perfectly. The lobster bisque was fantastic. I noticed in my last review that they brought me the wrong drink. This time they brought my husband the wrong drink. Not sure why they have a problem with that. My other issue is that they don't allow substitutions even if you have an allergy. Pretty ridiculous for what they are charging. I love the atmosphere in here. Great place to go with friends. It was super busy on a Saturday night. Make reservations!

Our first time at Perry's for a holiday and it did not disappoint! Thanksgiving day a 3:30 reservation was perfect! The restaurant was surprisingly full of guests! We were seated promptly and the service was great. I had the filet and lobster. The steak was cooked perfectly as well as the lobster tail being well seasoned. We had to ask for drawn butter and it was brought out unmelted but with a candle and ramekin to melt table side. We shared sides of Brussels sprouts and scalloped potatoes, both were delicious. I had a lemon drop martini which was done well. My husband got to enjoy a smoked table side bourbon drink that he thoroughly enjoyed. We ended our dinner with a lemon bar tart cake which was VERY tart and very yummy. If you're apprehensive about dining out on a holiday, do it at Perry's, you will be glad you did!

If you are looking for a good happy hour... add Perry's to your list!! Another secret: Arrive at the start of happy hour (4-6:30) on Friday & you can still order one of the best pork chops in the city. The Lunch Pork Chop special is $22 on Friday from 10-30am - 5 pm and worth the price!! Service was fast and it wasn't very crowded at 4:00 but the crowd started to pick up around 5:30.

Absolutely delicious steak cooked to perfectly with garlic butter really elevated the flavor. The sides were great and the service was top notch. Plenty of seating at the bar on a Friday lunch. Scott who runs the valet parking was extremely nice. Next time I am going to get the pork chop that's on the Friday lunch special.

Last night, my friends in the "Ladies who Dine" group enjoyed an evening filled with lively conversations, delicious food, and tasty drinks. Our server was outstanding, making sure our glasses never went empty and that we had everything we needed for a fantastic experience. I often visit Perry's at least once a month, and I always look forward to their Happy Hour. My favorite starters include the pork chop bites, Caesar salad, Steak & Tater Totter Bites, and the Filet Beef & Bleu. As for main courses, I love the Symphony Trio--featuring steak, lobster, and shrimp, all partially prepared table-side to perfection--and the Dinner Cut Pork Chop, which provides enough for 2-3 days of indulgence. Lastly, what's a good meal without a great drink? I absolutely love the mini martini trio. Perry's frequently changes its trio offerings so that you can experience a variety of distinct flavors.

My boyfriend and I split the pork chop for the Friday deal. As always, it was tender, sweet and delicious. Super affordable and was plenty for both of us. We didn't even finish our loaded whipped potatoes even though they were great! The crispy bacon is the best part. Great ambiance for a nice lunch or dinner with attentive staff.

A friend of mine was staying at the Doubletree Hilton, which is right next to Perry's so we decided to walk over and have dinner on a Monday evening. It was memorial day so it really was not that busy. Our server was Milkiles. He was so professional and personable. He kept our drinks filled and was very attentive. I love how there's low lighting in there and it seems very intimate even though it's a pretty big restaurant. I decided to go with the Wagyu fillet, and my date ended up having the Wagyu prime rib eye. We ordered the sides for Two, the mac & cheese, and the truffle fries. That was probably one of the best steaks I've ever had. We left there feeling full and very fulfilled. The bar area is really nice. It's definitely something on my list to go back and sit at the bar or the bar area. The bathrooms were very clean. If you haven't been yet, I would definitely try it out. It's right off of Highway 280.

I had heard great things about Perry's and this was my first visit. It lived up to everything I had heard and then some. Our server Aliway was kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire meal. When I walk into a steakhouse, I am getting a ribeye 98% of the time and that held true here. I was seriously tempted by the pecan smoked New York strip but I stayed true and went with the prime ribeye. It was cooked to absolute perfection. Juicy, not fatty, exactly how I like it. Now let me talk about the corn brulee. It is almost scandalous how good that corn brulee was. I ordered it and the whole table cleaned it out before I could get a proper serving. My only complaint from the entire evening is that I did not order two. Next time I will. The creamed spinach, Brussels sprouts, and asparagus were all excellent. The sides here are serious. I also have to mention the au poivre, the three peppercorn preparation, because the drizzle and the topping on that dish were incredible. And the fish they had was extremely good as well. If I come back, I am strongly considering making it my main. Big table, great selection, impeccable food. Prairie delivered on every level.

I asked my mother where she wanted to go for Mother's Day and she wanted to go to Perry's. I've been there several times before and have always had a great meal, so I was happy to go back. The food was pretty good. The pork bites were small, but delicious. The wedge salad was really good, however it was literally swimming in a pool of salad dressing at the bottom of the plate. I had the sea bass which was pretty flavorless, .so I see why the fish is plated with several sauces and corn. My brother had the salmon which was really tasty. My mom had the chicken Oscar and she really enjoyed that. The honey sriracha brussel sprouts were r amazing! The Mac and cheese was pretty good; the noodles were overcooked. The service was as the standout of the night. From the valet, to the hosts, to the bartenders to the food rummers, everyone was so polite and professional. I do have to give a special shout out to our server, Emily. She was amazing. She anticipated our needs. Like the others, she demonstrated pure professionalism and was so kind. Thank you all for a great dining experience.

Perry's Steakhouse never disappoints! I had the famous pork chop with mashed potatoes, and as always--it never misses. The Friday special is a deal you absolutely can't pass up. The service is consistently professional and friendly, making the whole dining experience even better. Everything was delicious--from the fresh baked bread to the wedge salad and creamy spinach sides. The atmosphere is romantic and elegant, with moody lighting that makes it perfect for date night or a special evening out. A true gem in Birmingham--highly recommend Perry's for anyone who loves great food, great service, and a beautiful setting.

Perry's has fantastic options on their menu for vegans and those who are gluten-free alike. The vegan "steak" is a hit! Yum. I really appreciate that they provide this in a posh experience, because people of all dietary accommodations deserve to be accommodated as well. I highly recommend going here for your vegan friends who want to feel included in omnivorous food activities based in an upscale establishment. I took a picture of a person at our table's food because it's so pretty - which 100% means their presentation is on point too!

This is probably one of the best restaurants and all of Birmingham and that is saying a lot. We, of course, got the Angel biscuits with that delicious butter. Those are always outstanding! The atmosphere is such a cool charming upscale SOUTHERN restaurant Five. My guest thoroughly enjoyed it and I bet they can't wait to go back just like me. My server had excellent answers to every question. I asked him and several people came to our table throughout the meal to make sure everything was going well when my server was busy. The interior was refreshingly classic but current, making good use of an elongated and narrow space. The partially open kitchen increases interest, but I was sitting with my back to it, which spared my lunch companion from competing for my attention. Our server Krynn was perfectly kind, prompt, and pleasing, genuinely welcoming to us and knowledgeable of the dishes. She was so very sweet and one of the best servers I have encountered in Alabama. The food was very thoughtfully prepared. We ordered Tuesday's lunch special, the fried green tomato BLT. We were impressed that the bacon is cured on site and cut the same day it is fried and served. The sandwich was so large that we easily split it. The tomatoes were good. I prefer lettuce in leaves, not shreds, but it didn't detract much from the experience and it didn't fall out everywhere. The sandwich came with chips which seemed homemade and were very good, not soggy. I added salt which was brought in a little wooden pinch bowl. For a side we split a plate of marinated summer peas and beans. This was baby lima beans and black eyed peas, with a very small amount of finely diced red onion and red bell pepper. There was a copious amount of cilantro that was not finely chopped and dominated certain mouthfuls. I would adjust this recipe by using a few more pinches of red onions and bell peppers, and finely chopping the cilantro and using less of it. It was very flavorful! I thought my SIL might still be hungry so we got a cheesecake slice at the end. It presented beautifully and was covered in a blueberry syrup. The texture was a bit ragged but it isn't any worse than one I'd make at home. I also felt the lemon flavor was a bit overly strong, and the crust appeared to be cornmeal based and wasn't my favorite, but that's just my preference. I feel that smokers or people with few taste buds would still be able to taste the food at Helen! I also ordered a cup of black regular coffee and it was truly delightful, no adjustments to that flavor needed in my opinion! We were attended by a couple other servers and everyone was polite and sweet. I felt very relaxed and as if I were valued as a customer. I hope Krynn has many sweet customers who appreciate how nice she is! I hope to be back someday and would definitely recommend Helen restaurant.

Phenomenal dining experience!!…read more Service was top notch from the hostess and host, our waiter and all of the runners. Attentive without being obnoxious, in depth explanations of items on the menu with great recommendations! We started with a half dozen raw oysters and the pork belly. Oysters were very fresh and the seasoned crackers were a nice touch. The pork belly was quite possibly the best we've ever had and we're slight snobs about it. The fennel and orange mixture was a unique blend that really complemented the smokiness of the pork belly, Our steaks were melt in your mouth good. Cooked perfectly! I wished I could've just taken a massive bowl of the macaroni and cheese home. The char on the broccolini balanced the richness of the macaroni. They were sadly out of the crème brûlée, so instead I had the vanilla and peach gelato, while my husband had the chocolate l'orange cake. The vanilla gelato had the perfect rich vanilla taste. The peach didn't taste much like peach, but the flavor was still good. The cake was light and fluffy with a great balance of chocolate and orange. The candied orange peel on top was a nice touch! The atmosphere is pretty busy so it was louder than I was expecting. However, the ability to see the wine cellar, fridge of aging meat, and a window to stop in to look at the kitchen was a lot of fun. Highly recommend!

It's spectacular every time. The rotating menu keeps things fresh and interesting, and every dish we've had has been thoughtfully prepared and consistently excellent. The kitchen is clearly doing something special and it's a big reason we keep coming back. This visit, however, the service was unusually slow. Our dinner lasted about two hours (7:30-9:30) on a night that didn't seem particularly busy. There was a noticeable lull in the dining room with quite a few open tables, yet it still took nearly 40 minutes between finishing our appetizers and receiving our main courses. The pacing just felt off compared to past visits. Valet (which I understand isn't directly run by the restaurant) was also a bit slow -- about a 15 minute wait to get our car at the end of the night. All that said, Armour House is still a really special spot with incredible food and we'll absolutely be back. Sharing this feedback because we've had such great experiences here before and hope this was just an off night.

The ambiance was great with lights on the tables, low lighting overall and plenty of room between the tables. We definitely felt like we were in our own little corner, could hear each other talk, and we did not have to listen to others conversations. I really enjoyed the mocktail I ordered. It was called the Sinaloa Sunrise and was much more than a few juices poured together. It was full of flavor, and I actually said "Wow" out loud as I drank it. It included pineapple juice, lime juice, habanero brown sugar syrup, sage syrup, and grenadine sink. Before I ordered it, i I wondered about the sage syrup, but it really added to the taste. For an appetizer, we shared the Wagyu Beef Carpaccio. Our friend suggested it and he was right on the money. It consisted of fresh horseradish, truffle aioli, fingerling potatoes, pickled mustard seeds, arugula, and caciotta al tartufo. It was melt in your mouth goodness. For my entree, I went with the 8 oz Filet. It was cooked perfectly, and we shared a side order of the Brussels Sprouts Calaprese. They were absolutely delicious and plenty for the three of us. This wonderful evening ended with dessert. I went with the Bananas Foster Cheesecake. It was good, but it needed more caramel. It included brown butter caramel, pistachio banana crumble, spiced ice cream, white chocolate crèmeux and white chocolate pearls. Was this an expensive dinner? Yes, but it was well worth it.
